2 parts to this review. Part 1: it took 3 hours for a routine furnace cleaning. And considering I waited until 11:30 for him to show up, I basically sat around all day while I could have been running errands and getting things done on my (rare) day off. Part 2: He started lecturing about Christianity and why I should believe in God. He drew pictures and told me I'm close to hell while he is up higher and closer to God. He was there to work on the furnace. Not preach to me. My beliefs are my business. He didn't need to waste time by asking me questions about my beliefs.I understand if if he was just trying to be personable and conversational, but that was the wrong conversation at the wrong time.

We are new customers with Lin Good & Son (now part of Robert H. Ranck, Inc.). I called to have our furnace serviced and asked how much it would cost. It was very affordable but they even break it down into very low monthly payments and the technician came out within a few days. He was VERY experienced and I felt comfortable with his level or professionalism and service. Although we received the sad news that our furnace is on it's last legs, I feel as though we have found a partner that we can work with for many years to come. I don't know much about heating/cooling except that it's one of the highest $ on my budget each month - but the technician who came to our home was so kind and actually cared that I understood all the issues. I appreciated that so much! If you don't want to feel ""taken""; give these folks a call!

This company is worst the most disrespectful company I have known of. They came to my grand patents and elderly couple who live on their own and the only thing they did was check a themastat and tell them out could not be fixed (it was later a simple fix from another conpany) and spent their time trying to bully this elderly couple into buying a whole new heating system - for almost an hour and charged then 45 minutes of work which was not work but this young man bullying and ""marketing"" if you will call it that a new system. my grand parents called up and tried to explain that nothing was done while this worker was here an yet they still charged my grand parents a full bill for 45 min of work and then the kicker they took my elderly grand parents to court!! What a disgusting disgraceful company ... little did they know that while my grandparents are not tech savy, their family is and I will spread this companyw disgusting acts all over the internet so that others will not be taken advantage of by them... so if you want a company who will rip you off, fix things or tell you you need things either fixed our replaced that do not need to be and want to work with a non honest disrespectful company this would be the company for you!

I personally did not have a good encounter with this business. I called them on hot summer Saturday, the A/C unit at my work failed, I was under stress from all the customers, so I quickly called Lin Good and Son by aciddent, instead of my regular company. When the mechanic arrived I showed him the unit, and he told me it seemly lacked coolant, not being a mechanic myself i said ok do what you must. Without even attempting to look for a leak he poured 150 dollars worth of coolant in and was out in 30mins. Keep in mind it was Saturday so I paid 150 an hour. So $300 overall!! And what do you know a day later, the $150 worth of coolant leaked out, and Lin Good and Son refused to come out and fix the issue. I then called the local Rodney Good Company, and not only did they find the leak, fix the leak, put the same amount of fluid in... they only cost $300 for the entire operation! I was duped don't let this happen to you.

We used Lin Good for our natural gas furnace for lots of years. They do good work and for a reasonable price.
