So...very decent pricing I must say. At least until they rip open your walls in a not so nice way....damaged both sides with their Sawzall. Upon inspection, needed more money since the pipe was worse than anticipated. After removing old copper piping and installing the new PVC piping, they cleaned up and said they were all done. I asked about the ripped open wall and they damage to the back wall leading into the bathroom. I was told they don't do drywall. ""Say what?"" You just tear open a wall anyway you can and then after its done say you don't fix the wall?
Well I think this could have been mentioned up front so we could prepare beforehand.
Last but not least...I should have known better but...I am now missing a 25' Craftsman tape measure and a 25"" Irwin tape measure. Both of these items were inside my tool belt in a bucket near the doorway in my garage which was near their path in and out of the house. I don't misplace tools often and we do not have company over since we just moved here. Trivial or not, I had to go purchase another tape measure as those were the only ones I actually had in possession to fix the drywall that needed finished due to their task.
Anyways, if you hire them, be sure to ask all the questions you need to beforehand and get it in writing. Also, clear out items that could ""walk away easily"" just to keep honest people honest.

I was not happy about his estimate. He quoted us for $3,500, and another plumber did the job for $120. What a big difference!

Prices are very high. Ramon was very inconsiderate. When asked about the pricing all he would say is that's what it is. I will never call them again and would definitely not recommend anyone to call for a quote

This is a continuation of my comments from 7/21/17. The response from Ramon & Sons is not accurate. The damage they did to my tree was more than a couple branches: the trunk was split down the middle. When he promised he'd replace it, I asked that he leave the broken one there and I would plant it somewhere else so I could try to save it. I NEVER asked him to replant it for me. When he never showed up, I dug it up and moved it to an inconspicuous spot in the backyard to try to save it. I don't think it's going to survive because the damage was too extensive.

My requests were made:
January 7 -when he said he'd take care of it in spring
April 17 - no response
May 4 - below
May 26 - no response
June 5 - no reponse
July 2 - ""this week or next week for sure""
July 10 - ""this week""
July 21 - no response

Me: Hi Ramon, this is Dave N. at (address). Just checking in to see when you think you'll be replacing the arbor vitae next to my garage. When you do, you can leave the damaged one after it's dug up, and I'll put it somewhere in the backyard.
Ramon & Sons: I'll replace it but I'll bring the old one with me. Lol just kidding. Within 14 days I would say.
Me: Okay thanks!

He never once said he wouldn't make it right, he only kept putting it off to a future date. All of this could've been avoided by replacing the tree, which at the most, would cost about $50. Instead, they've lost my business and the business of everyone I know.

Alex of Beezees sent out Ramon and Sons to rod our sewer and they got their rod stuck and said we needed $5,800 to get it out and ""fix"" our sewer! I called the village of Mundelein and they sent a crew to scope the line and they said there were only roots no damage and the company should have removed their line because it is only 22 inches from the cleanout. That cleanout was only 2 feet deep but he quoted me at where his rod was ""stuck"" which was 9 feet down and would require street work and permits... When I talked to the rodding company owner, Ramon of Ramon & Sons, and told him the facts he said, because we were white and he was not that we were accusing him of being dishonest. The race card!

So having the facts from the village and another plumbing company I gave Ramon the option to get his rod out and finish the job and he will get paid or I will have someone else get it out and I will charge him. After a few choice words from Ramon that he wasn't going to f***ing pay he eventually sent a crew to finish the job. It took them 10 minutes to get their stuck rod out! 10 minutes. The same rod they were going to charge my $5,800. 10 minutes. Is he dishonest or bad at his job? I would never recommend Beezees or Ramon & Sons.

I have left messages for Alex, the owner of Beezees. He refuses to call me back. Since he won't call I can only assume he must support such actions if he sends people like this out to his customers.

Trust but verify. We did and they were caught. Thanks to the village of Mundelein for protecting their residents!

Ramon & his employees are VERY quick to respond to their client's needs, professional, friendly (speak both English & Spanish fluently), do excellent work & are extremely knowledgeable about their trade. I have used them both @ my business & @ my family's home & will continue to do so, as needs arise for us in the future. Ramon and his crew were amazing. They were working at a neighbor's house and I asked if they could also come over to check my sewer lines - I've lived in my house for 17 years and had never had it checked, though many of my neighbors have had sewer problems. I thought they'd make an appointment for several days later, as it was getting late in the afternoon and I knew that other neighbors had also asked for service. The crew was able to get all of us in - and found that my sewer line was completely blocked (I still haven't figured out how water was managing to leave my house, because I had no idea that there was a problem).

I received a very reasonable estimate from Ramon, and was surprised when, once again, they were able to start work quickly instead of needing to wait for several days. Once they had replaced the pipe near my house - which had completely broken off - they found problems at the other end of the line. This concerned me greatly because my HOA had recently replaced the sidewalk, and I didn't want to have to dig up the sidewalk and pay for a new sidewalk in addition to the sewer work. Ramon's crew was able to dig around the sidewalk and access the pipe without damaging the sidewalk - saving me a great deal of both money and hassle, as my HOA is not always easy to deal with.

I received a very fair price for the work, especially given the difficulty that Ramon's crew had digging out the second section - which was not only cramped but also involved going through several thick roots that they had to chop through. All of the crew working on my sewer line were friendly and pleasant, and Ramon himself has been a great pleasure to work with.

Although I hope never to need to do so, Ramon will be the first call I make if I ever have any other problems. Thank you Ramon for your excellent work and great customer service!

Most amazing referral ive ever received! Ramon and his crew are hands down the best crew I've ever worked with. They're professional, knowledgeable and extremely dedicated to their business. I was confident the entire process they would take care of me and I couldn't be more pleased with all the hard work they put into my home. They replaced my sewer line, fixed the water leak, fixed my pipes and drain in my basement and installed a sump pump! I think we can call that the gold package!

Ramon and his crew made sure to explain every detail to make sure I understood what was currently in place and what had to be done to correct it. I have the peace of mind knowing the work was done right and having that guarantee makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside as well.

This is the most honest company. If you need any water/sewer repairs, do not hesitate to call them. You will not be disappointed. I will never call anyone else for my plumbing needs as long as this company is serving the community.

My sewer system got clogged and I had to do something about it right away ( have 3 small girls ) I called Ramon and he was by my house in several hours with a team of workers started taking care of things right away. After spending some time to diagnose the problem they found an issue outside my house. Another hour and a half and I was able to use the water and toilet without any problems. For a job this big things went fairly straightforward and Ramon explained everything to me step-by-step. I can definitely recommend him to anyone who needs some sewage help. Thank you Ramon and to all the guys who were there at a time of need!
