Company Overview

Green grass, lively plants, and perfect shade are vital for a friendly yard. We at Rainman Irrigation & Landscape Lighting are dedicated to ensuring your landscape has all these attributes and more. Our focus is on home irrigation, landscape lighting, and we utilize only the most dependable, cutting-edge electronic controllers, rain sensors, sprinkler heads, and valves. One of our owners is always present on-site to ensure the entire process runs seamlessly. Whether you need a new installation, repairs, or winterization for your systems, we are here to keep your yard looking stunning all year long.

Nathan Hegedus and Daniel Stephen are the proud owners of Rainman Irrigation. Don Drake has departed from our company. Since most of our one-star reviews pointed to Don, we are looking to reset and establish ourselves as the leading irrigation company in Georgia.

Rainman Irrigation exclusively uses the latest, most reliable electronic controllers, rain sensors, sprinkler heads, valves, and lighting fixtures from trusted brands like Rainbird, Toro, Hunter, Irritrol, Vista, ABR, and others. With over 13 years in the construction industry, Nathan Hegedus has expertise in plumbing and electrical. He became a company owner in January 2017 and has applied his extensive knowledge to the irrigation sector.

For the past ten years, Daniel Stephen has worked in real estate and residential construction, recently coming on board with Rainman to provide outstanding administrative support and fieldwork.

Rainman to the Rescue! Splish, splash, my yard was not taking a bath until Rainman arrived and saved the day! A huge thank you to Rainman for their quick, and professional trouble-shooting and repairs. They repaired broken sprinkler heads, detected leaks I didn't know I had, and changed some sprinkler heads so my yard would be watered more efficiently. All that for a price where I felt like I didn't get hosed! Thank you, Rainman, my broken sprinkler heads won't be MIST and my newly repaired and more efficient sprinkler system now makes MY grass always greener!

Had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment and he called 3 days prior to confirm I will be there the whole day so I can approve the estimate, they can complete work and get paid. Well they did not show at 10 am so at 11 am I called to see if running late etc. and left voicemail. At noon I text and still no response by 1 pm. No show and no call, disrespectful to say the least and doesn't make sense to me. at 1:30 pm I decide to call from another number and no surprise Don answered, he made lame apologies for having emergency calls however makes no excuse for not letting me know by phone or text that he wasn't coming and then just referred me to a local company that has a 4 week wait time. His arrogance is only minimized by his lack of customer service. I would recommend calling anyone but him.

Got a quick response and the crew was here fixing a leak we had in our condo complex's sprinkler system. We were very pleased with the repair. However, when I called them back to see about making them our go-to sprinkler company, I got a million excuses. We're too busy, we're booked up. When I said, we didn't need them back right away, I got more excuses..we didn't install your system, we aren't familiar with it. Never in my life have I seen a company turn away business. Oh well, guess we'll find someone else.

I called Rainman based on the sterling Yelp reviews. And I called them, and I called them, and -- well you get the idea. I needed some repair (extensive) and wanted to expand my system to cover the rest of the property on the new house we just bought. But Rainman did not call me back -- EVER -- and I called repeatedly over a period of weeks! Maybe they do good work for the family members who wrote all these great reviews, but unless they're out of business, they are the most unresponsive company that I've ever tried to do business with.

Professional and quick and fast in identifying problems and fixing them. Their charge is based on their formula so no ridiculous overcharge. They reminded me of hosts of Car Talk.

They are totally responsive, honest, and have helped me out in a pinch twice when my irrigation system broke. They know their business through and through and are utterly professional. You could even say they are passionate about irrigation!

We came home from vacation at midnight on a Saturday to find a significant leak around our irrigation valve. We called Rainman Irrigation at 10 a.m. the next morning and the leak was fixed by 12:30 p.m. They were professional, quick, and the price was very reasonable, especially for a Sunday call!

Don picked up on the third ring in the middle of a busy Friday. Worked me into his schedule and did an excellent, professional job getting my sprinkler system back in shape. Literally, a joy to work with - fast service, fair pricing and conducted in a professional manner.

Don and Jeff were very punctual and professional in the repair of a cracked line which had been crushed by a tree root. They dug up the root and repaired the line in a professional manner. The only issue that I have is how they calculated the price.. Don had told me over the phone that they charge $90 for a house call and that usually covers most basic repairs. They were at my home for about 45 minutes and when they completed the job Jeff called out $210... This was before a detail bill had been created, When the bill was written out it come to $210..It almost seemed like the amount was backed into because...there was a labor charge of $120 and then a charge for """"parts"""" of 4 x $20 ($80) which was for 4 bridges or in laymen terms couplers and then a $10 charge for wirekit. TOTAL PARTS COSTt $90 !! Now I don't have an issue with the $120 labor charge since it was difficult work BUT when I questioned how can they charge $80 for 4 fittings (couplers) Don said it was for the labor/knowledge to know how to put the """"bridge"""" together. I didn't want to make a big deal about it but there already was a labor charge for $120 so why couldn't they just charge me the actual cost of the 4 couplers which would have been around $10 in total at most... I am looking at $90 worth of parts which consist of a few couplers a few inches of pipe and a foot or two or 14G wire with a couple of connectors.. Now I don't really care how they breakout the cost of a job since the final amount is what you pay but I really felt that they inflated the bill by the $90 """"parts"""" MY ADVICE: Before Don and Jeff start a job for you ask them what will be the final out the door price of the job.. This mean any parts they may use and labor and any trip fees.

Had a sprinkler company not show up yesterday. Don answered immediately and got me on the schedule for tomorrow. He gave me 3 options over the phone. He sounds legit and extremely professional. I will update this post after repair tomorrow...but so far so good!
