Sally K.I've been with Ragsdale now for about a year, and I highly recommend their work. Not only has every employee I've met or spoken on the phone to been courteous and helpful, but I can't stress to you how efficient our HVAC system is, how well the new hot water heater works, nor now concerned they are with safety and efficiency and going above and beyond in all that they do. First, HVAC. I got estimates and heard spiels from a LOT of companies. Ragsdale was the only company to actually walk my attic and take a look at my intake whatchamacallits (English major--forgive me). The tech, whose name I wish I could remember, suggested a smaller unit than any of the other providers BUT he pointed out the problems with those intake thingies and made fixing them a part of the solution. In less than a week, the house was being heated and cooled far more efficiently and humidity levels were down. Next, I had plumbing problems. For some reason I didn't see the plumbing part and called Ragsdale last. This was my mistake, as I should've called them first. They offered the best deal on a water heater and were straight shooters about the fact that I didn't really a more expensive tankless model based on the size of my house. Also, they had better response times and actually arrived during the window they said they would. Fast forward to the summer. The AC stops on one of the Dog Days which, of course, is a weekend. Even though they couldn't get a tech to us immediately because EVERYONE was having AC troubles, one of their techs talked us through a temporary solution to get the AC running until he could get there. On a Sunday. When they did arrive and found a slight problem with some pipe, they fixed that and all has been good. Now we come to today and the reason why I am FINALLY writing a review for a company I obviously love. Greg came for regularly scheduled HVAC maintenance. I had some concerns about possible carbon monoxide problems. All is well with the furnace which has heated up the room quite smoothly (and did I mention my heating and cooling bills both decreased significantly thanks to the efficiency of our unit? They did). He took the time to test the carbon monoxide levels from our gas logs and discovered we have a gas leak and the little thingamajig to the side of the fireplace. Now, I have to find someone else to address that problem, but I truly appreciate his commitment to my family's safety and at least now I know what the problem IS. To make a long story short (too late) I can say without reservation (a rarity for me) that I would highly recommend Ragsdale to help you with HVAC or plumbing. It's rare these days to find a company so committed to customer service and to doing the job right without upselling you on something you don't need. I only wish Ragsdale could help me with my landscaping and house painting and laundry and, oh, you get the picture.
This was the second time Tony has been to my house for service . He is very nice and professional and I would definitely recommend him. However, I must make you aware of that my original appointment was scheduled for Friday, October 14 after 4PM. They indicated they would call me 1 hour before arrival. I received a phone call at my office at 4:07 that the service rep was on his way to my house. I asked for 15 minutes extra time to get home from Buckhead and was told I would be charged $139.99 instead of $79.99. I rescheduled for Friday, October 21 between 8AM and 9AM. Tony arrived at 9:30AM. Very disappointing. Plus your prices are outrageous. I was charged $168 to unclog my shower and $168 to replace a value and flapper. A total of $336. Crazy! You installed a hot water heater about 4 months ago and did a fabulous job and pricing was reasonable.
Service from Ragsdale is always superb. We have been a long time customer. Would recommend them to anyone and do frequently.

I feel they went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with their work. At the first sign of a problem, they did not hesitate to involve everyone from their General Manager to the electricians to resolve our issues. Our installation was a little different from the normal. We were switching from Gas to Electric and it required a little more work. They saved us money over other estimates. We are most grateful for their professional manner and friendly way our issues were resolved. If anyone needs any heating and air or other services that they provide, you will not be disappointed. Everyone I spoke to was courteous and sweet, making an appointment was quick and easy, and my technician arrived in a timely manner (and they called first to let me know he was on his way). I only ended up with a consult but the price was fair for both the visit and the estimates on the work needed and they made sure I didn't get surprised by any costs. Can't ask for much more than that!
We recently had a service tech come out to our house because one of our furnaces had stopped working. Ragsdale has always been my go to company of choice for my home and business. The service technicians are always professional and seem to be knowledgeable. This last call was no different. They got me scheduled the same day I called and the service tech was great. The problem came with the price of the job! The issue was the control panel on my furnace needed replaced and I was quoted almost $900 for the replacement. With a price like that I am going to do my research and see what's out there. I was able to find this part new for a little over $200 and was able to replace it myself in less than 30 minutes! This kind of mark up on a this part is outrageous! Like I mentioned earlier on. Ragsdale has always been my go to company for my heating, cooling, and plumbing needs for both my business and home. I will no longer be using this company nor will I be suggesting this company to others as I have been the last few years. I am a business owner and understand marking up products but this is gouging your customers and the smart ones will just go elsewhere!

Almost one year ago, I wrote a 5 star review for Ragsdale Heating and Air. Read below and now read my updated revew. My point is, unfortunately this is not the company I thought they were. It's the type of company who has excellant customer service WHILE you are spending $3,700 with them, but it does not go beyond there. Here's the series of events that have taken place with the HVAC I had installed with Ragsdale 1 year ago: 8/1/15: AC unit went out (less than one year old). They came to fix. I thought it was abnormal for it to already have an issue since a) it's brand new b) I have changed filter every 3 months and c) I have had the maintenance checks. But OK, I'll throw you a bone. 8/23/15: AC unit went out (still less than one year old). They came to fix. This time I requested with the lady who answers the phone to please have a supervisor call me. No call from the supervisor. After they fixed it, I receive a survey over email. I filled it out, expressing I was not happy with the AC unit and I requested a supervisor to call me, they never did, so I then re-requested in the survey for a supervisor to call me, and they never did. 9/8/15: AC unit went out. Just at one year old at this point. I call to have them fix it and this time I speak with a supervisor. I was told they would go out, fix it, check the unit out and send me documenation, as well as call before they arrive. The fan had gone out and needed to be replaced (one year old???), I have not received documentation (2 days later now) and they did not call before they showed up. It did not seem to alarm them that the unit has gone out 3 times in one year. That is my POST installation experience with ragsdale. So unfortunate because, as you can see below, I really thought highly of this company. If it were my business, I would make sure each and every [reasonable] customer had an excellant experience for as long as they had the unit MY company installed in their home. I would provide reassurance to my customer that the unit MY company installed going out 3 times is very concerning and we would do whatever it took to resolve this because this is not representation of my company and the equipment we install for our customers. Unfortunately I didn't get that any of the three times I've had to call in. Review in October 2014: I had an EXCELLANT experience with Ragsdale from start to finish. I purchased a house that needed a new HVAC system. First of all, the lady that answeres the phone is super nice and got me a scheduled appointment very quickly. I had someone from Ragsdale come out and take a look and he told me all of my options but gave me a recomendation to replace it because it would be more expensive to fix. So I took his advise and ordered a new one. Chris Haralson was the salesman for the new unit and he was really nice and professional. The two guys that came to my house to install it were FANTASTIC..I think their names were Roger and Chris but I cant remember for sure, wish I did because they were great. It was SO hot that day but they were troopers and did the job in about 4 hours. Then they showed me the new unit, took me to the attic to show me everything they did and then walked me through how to use the thermostat. Then they took me through the warranties. The following week Chris Haralson called me to ask how my service was on the day that the 2 guys came to install the unit. Very impressive!! This company really made me feel like a valuable customer as opposed to most companies these days that act like you're just a number and dont care if they have your business or not, and certainly dont care enough to call you a week later to check service. Overall I was blown away at how sharp every single individual was that I came accross with this company. The service and professional behavior of all parties really put me at ease, which isnt easy to do when the customer is spending thousands of dollars. Kudos to the owners of the company, you clearly practice good business and have high standards for all employees. Keep up the great work!!
