We highly recommend Radar Plumbing. This morning we had a backup plumbing problem and couldn't use any water. We found Radar Plumbing online. The office staff was very helpful and had a plumber out to fix our problem by early afternoon. The two plumbers were courteous, knowledge and efficient. They clearly diagnosed the problem and told us how much it would cost to fix. Their price was fair and we now have water and flushing toilets! Thank you Radar Plumbing. We won't hesitate to call you again!

We hired radar plumbing to install a new toilet and hook up the plumbing on a new fiberglass tub/shower combo we had already installed at our rental.
We were given a fixed bid for $2123. This seemed very high, but he told us because we had such old pipes, there was a chance he would have to chase back the lines due to breakage, which is why it was such a high quote. We were on a time crunch and had tenants moving in and I unfortunately didn't make time to call around for other quotes, or read Radar's other poor reviews online. Radar also included in our bid a line item for some other misc clean up work he would bill us on a time and materials basis. This work was completely over looked and never touched during their time working on the house.
The work that we were given a fixed bid for at $2123 was completed. I requested our invoice several times. We received it 3 months later (Yikes! Makes you wonder about their billing department) it was $1060 over our original bid. When we asked Mike, the owner, why it was so much higher he aggressively told us that it was because they had to chase old pipe and it was a lot more work than they had anticipated. He knocked $100 off in material costs after my fiance called them out that they had grossly overcharged us on materials, thus we ended up paying $960 more than our original bid, that was quite high to begin with totaling $3083 for connecting a new toilet and a tub drain, faucet and shower head.
A few months later my fiancee, against my wishes, had Radar continue on his project Radar installed a leaking hot water heater. According to Mike there was no way to know it was leaking until it was installed. Then when they came back to install a new hot water heater they sent a lone apprentice who installed a dented unit and billed my fiance's company a second time.
After that I was upset and called Mike. I wanted to hear his side of the story, which to his credit he was available for, but during that time it came out that supposedly he was being given differing information from his plumbers than what was actually true. He agreed, after an intense conversation to refund us the $240 for installing the 2nd broken water heater (we didn't request a refund for the leaking unit.) When I followed up on the $240 refund 12 days after we had agreed, I was not surprised to see that Mike once again took the low road. He said the $240 that was owed to my fiancee's company was sitting on his desk, but he would not send it unless I took down my ""nasty"" review on Angie's list. Then, after I didn't respond the check finally came about 5 days after that.
For a moment in time, owner Mike attempted to use the refund that was mutually agreed upon, to leverage as hush money. I would be happy to take down my negative review if Mike humbles himself, apologizes and refunds us the $960 over-charge from our fixed bid on the rental. I doubt he will do this. I would hope that a local business owner would use these opportunities to learn how to better serve his clients rather than see us (especially women) as being out of line and nasty. I had feelings early on in working with Radar that my best interests or my budget weren't on their radar, and for so many homeowners we put so much trust in these companies to help us make smart, economical decisions. This review is written in the hopes that other people do not have to go through what we've gone through and take the time to call around and work with another vendor on the coast, even though at times it feels there are not a lot to choose from. Thank you!

I used Radar Plumbing in the past for complete interior facet and toilet turn stop replacements as well as customer furnished kitchen sink faucet install. I was charged 14 hours labor at $110 per hour plus $276 in parts plus $49 dispatch fee. When I needed help on a different project I didn't hesitate to enlist their services based on my previous positive experience. The previous job price was reasonable and done professionally. I was very satisfied.
However once plumbing technicians arrived onsite for my different project and I reviewed the scope of work with them I was quoted an outlandish price for the work I required. Evidently Radar Plumbing since I used them last implemented a union style flat rate pricing schedule rather than labor hours onsite X their labor rate. I paid the techs a $49 dispatch fee for their trip out explaining their price was ""shocking"" and prudence required me to get another bid. The techs were very understanding. The bid I got from another local plumbing contractor for my current project was more inline with what I was expecting and 50% less than Radar Plumbing's price. The second bid I received was from a reputable local plumbing contractor, smaller than Radar but very capable, with a good reputation. So a word of caution to both new and existing Radar Plumbing customers; get several bids.

Was suppose to give an estimate but didn't. The called for payment Stating they spend 4 hours on a job when we have several witnesses who can state 1 hour. Changed one part but stated they several. This company has got to be one of the most dishonest on the planet. Then when you question them with the real facts they threated us!

These guys are fast and do good work. Can't ask for more than that. They came the same day replaced the floor water valve to the toliet and the filler valve and flapper in about an hour.

I'm adding to my review as I needed Radar Plumbing's Help once again and called them. The were my Hero's once again!! It was quite a big job and I couldn't be more happy and grateful for their help. I think the fact that I did follow thru and call them again when I needed help speaks to the fact that they are the ones to call for your plumbing needs. This is a great group of people!!
May 2018 I had a plumbing issue that needed immediate attention, they were here within an hour. The guys were nice and professional. They fixed my problem in no time and the charges were fair and reasonable. I will call them for any further plumbing problems and I will happily Refer them to others. THANK YOU RADAR!!

When we placed our initial call to Radar, the receptionist seemed very capable. She asked all the right questions and took down all of our information to open a ""new customer"" file for us. Sadly, that was end of efficiency. Still waiting for a call back weeks later. Though we'd indicated that there was no hurry regarding the work, getting on the schedule was/is important. They love to spend time fishing. Who can blame them? But, when you have a customer flexible enough to set an appointment on Your Schedule, maybe you should call back. Another L.C. fail.

I called on a Sunday afternoon and a real person answered the phone! He said he would be at the house within the hour and he was! We had a stubborn toilet clog and he stayed with it until it broke free. He made sure it passed the toilet paper test before he left. It took a couple more ""snakes"" but finally things started to flow smoothly. I would not hesitate to call Radar again!

I am honestly shocked they're in business if they handle every job like they've handled ours.
We needed a backflow device replaced and a small leak addressed at our company beach house. First I was told they'd be out on one particular day - that came and went, called up to discover the part itself was on back order and would be installed when it arrived on another day (though no one bothered to pass that information on). That day came and went, I call again to discover they didn't get around to it but it would be done two days later (again, no call). Then - hooray! - it's installed and the leak fixed and the invoice sent over in record time. Then I realize they billed SIX hours to replace the backflow device. I asked the very nice woman on the phone to have someone call me to discuss how it possibly took someone that long and she said she would. No one ever returned the call.
I also requested they conduct the backflow test once the new part was in, which they billed for on the invoice, but then told me (a week later) that the one person who can do that test is out for a few weeks. I told them to forget it and went back to our original device tester.
The Water District just called to inform me that the device tester found the device installed BACKWARDS and the leak still leaking. I called again and asked for it to be correctly installed, and for someone again to contact me about the huge bill and was told that the person who I needed to talk to was on vacation and that they had no idea when they might be able to get out to properly install the device, as the person who did the scheduling also wasn't in. Sensing a theme here....
I feel sorry for the gal who answers the phone, she seems really sweet. But the rest of the operation - absolutely the worst business I've ever dealt with, personally or professionally.

Radar came recommended to us and since we are new in town, we are dependent on the opinions of others. What a mistake. We had a simple project to complete - replace four existing faucets with new ones we had purchased. Nothing tricky. Radar sent two people to do this job and upon completion, presented us with an outrageous bill for their services. My husband told the installer that he would pay the bill but would appreciate a call from the office to discuss it because we were stunned by the amount. When my husband contacted the office, he was told not to worry - that the check would not be cashed and they would look into this and get back to us. Since it was a Friday afternoon, we were told that we would hear from them on Monday. Guess what happened? Nothing, other than the check being cashed quickly Monday morning. No follow-up - no explanation - nada. Needless to say, we will never call them again and will share our experience with anyone who asks. Nice welcome to Lincoln City!
