With a legacy spanning over 30 years, the team at R. W. Kilby Wire and Water has been dedicated to serving central Virginia and its neighboring regions as master electricians and plumbers.

As a licensed contractor in electrical, plumbing, and gas fitting, we have been a small, locally owned business serving central Virginia for more than 40 years. We provide a range of services such as standby generators, water treatment systems, tankless water heaters, and additional solutions.

Founded in 1979, we proudly serve the Central Virginia region. We hold Virginia State Class A Contractor's licenses along with Electrical, Plumbing, and Gas Fitters Tradesman's licenses, and we are licensed in numerous city and county jurisdictions across Virginia. Moreover, we have general liability, workers compensation, and auto insurance to ensure comprehensive coverage.

R. W. Kilby, the owner, has been part of the construction sector since 1971, acquiring skills in equipment installation, mechanical system troubleshooting, and building lasting connections with customers, coworkers, and vendors.

I wanted to offer exceptional, personal service to my clients and create a stable income for my family and the families of my employees. Managing my business allows me the flexibility to participate in my children's school events, and I extend that opportunity to my employees as well. I finished high school with a technical career focus and pursued further education at Washington Bible College. I consider education and training essential, so I actively pursue trade certification classes and continuing education credits, while also maintaining warranty service dealer status for the equipment and products my company installs.
