For over three decades, R. W. Kilby Wire and Water has proudly delivered top-notch electrical and plumbing services to central Virginia and beyond.

For over four decades, we have been a licensed small business contractor in electrical, plumbing, and gas fitting, dedicated to serving the central Virginia community. Our services include standby generators, water treatment systems, tankless water heaters, and much more.

Established in 1979, we have been committed to serving the Central Virginia area. We hold Virginia State Class A Contractor's licenses along with Electrical, Plumbing, and Gas Fitters Tradesman's licenses, and we are licensed in numerous city and county jurisdictions across Virginia. We also carry general liability, workers compensation, and auto insurance for added protection.

Owner R. W. Kilby has been immersed in the construction industry since 1971, gaining expertise in equipment installation, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and fostering strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.

My goal has always been to deliver excellent, personalized service to my clients while ensuring a stable income for my family and my employees' families. The management of my business enables me to be involved in my children's school functions, and I also provide that flexibility to my employees. I completed high school with an emphasis on technical careers and went on to study at Washington Bible College. I consider education and training essential, so I actively pursue trade certification classes and continuing education credits, while also maintaining warranty service dealer status for the equipment and products my company installs.
