I have used them multiple times over the years for multiple projects. Fair prices, excellent work. I feel totally comfortable leaving them alone in my house if I have to go out. I can't say enough good things about them!

They do not return phone calls in a timely manner, even when my voicemails state that I have an urgent situation.

We have an old home with old fixtures in sinks. Bathroom cold water faucet wouldn't turn off. Called Greer. Within 5 minutes of arrival, Dave knew what the issue was and installed a new inside part for an otherwise working faucet. He also replaced a drippy pipe joint with a new one which solved that problem. Very efficient, very knowledgeable, and willing to explain what he is doing and why he is doing it. He troubleshot a slow kitchen faucet that was due for repair or replacement. Suggested ways to find the faucet I wanted (That saved me half the cost from the manufacturer website.) and returned to install it, remove a disposer, and make everything neat under the sink. I highly recommend Greer for repairs as they explain the scope of expected work, come when they say they will, follow up if there is a problem, and although the labor may seem expensive, it's done right the first time.

I had a visit from R. W. Greer in January, 2013. I asked them to re-seat a toilet and to fix a defective bathroom sink faucet. I was charged $349 and only got the toilet re-seated. I was charged an hour of time to confirm that I had a defective faucet (which I already knew) but it was not repaired. After disputing the bill, I was told that they would credit me one hour if I contracted with them to install a new faucet. They charge two and a half hours to install a bathroom faucet. I decided to replace the faucet myself. I was very dissatisfied with R. W. Greer and will never use them again.

I've got nothing but high praise for the fine folks at R.W. Greer. They're not the cheapest plumbers out there but they're professionals and get the job done right the first time.

I first gave them a try when we decided to get our recalcitrant powder room toilet fixed. I was very impressed when the person taking my call asked a series of questions to better ascertain the problem and to get a clear picture of the bathroom in question, thus making sure the plumber would be prepared for any exigencies and not have to waste time when he came out. (As it turned out, there was an exigency he wasn't prepared for but that was just because we had what turned out to be an unusual problem.)

There wasn't anyone available for a week (I take that as a good sign - I'd rather have a service pro who was in demand than one who had no work to do) but there was no emergency so it wasn't a problem.

Dave Greer came out on time to take a look at our problem. He told me exactly what he was doing at every stage and showed me what was going on. This turned out to be a much more involved job than we initially thought but he clearly explained the options and their limitations to me and what we needed to do to prevent further problems.

When we needed a minor repair adjustment a few weeks afterwards, I called and without hesitation they sent Dave out a couple of days later. He replaced a few parts and made the repair - without charge, of course - and everything has been working fine ever since.

And then we called Greer when we found our basement flooded and our sump pump out on a Saturday morning. We got a call back from Dave within the hour, he assessed our situation, gave us a cost estimate, and was out in less than two hours. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with the pump and it was in good shape. (We could have solved the problem ourselves if we had half a brain between us that morning.) Because it was a relatively brief visit with no repair necessary (though he did a couple of minor adjustments to increase the life and improve the functioning of the pump), we weren't even charged the full minimum emergency rate. We just paid a relatively nominal charge which was well worth the piece of mind knowing that we didn't have to pony up the dough for a replacement pump.

I hope I don't need a plumber any time soon again but if I do I'm calling up R.W. Greer without hesitation.
