WORST PLUMBER IN MARYLAND!!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!!! First he replaced the existing tank with a shorter wider tank that barely fit into the space. The supply valve was behind the water line and not visible if there was an emergency and the water needed to be turned off. Then the pipe coming from the pressure valve did not go into the drain pan so if there was an overflow problem water would be all over the floor. And the big problem is that the drain pan had a drain line with an overflow line which dumps into a drain pipe in the floor. The drain pan is connected to the A/C condensation tube which goes into a drain in the floor. He did not bother to place the overflow line back into the drain pipe in the floor (this pipe leads outside the building). Needless to say the condensation line leaked water which flowed onto the floor. For 3 days this leaked and my neighbors below me had a massive leak into their condo. I called Rob to come out. I'm a single female and I had no idea why it was leaking. He tells me he will come in the morning. Now to me this is an emergency!!! But not to Rob. The next day I text him and ask when will he show up. He said he was at the beach and would come Sunday. Sunday came and he said he was stuck in traffic and can't make it until Monday. In the meantime I have workers in my condo fixing other things but I can't turn the air on because the pipe that releases the condensation outside was not reconnected by the ""Master"" plumber Rob. So it's 92-96 degrees in this place all weekend!!! So Monday comes and he tells me Tim hit him in the knee and he can't come. By this point, I'm more than livid!! What if I was already living in this property? It was hot, and I couldn't do anything about it. I ended up hiring another plumber that came out immediately after my call. He fixed my issue. I honestly would not recommend this guy to my worst enemy. No one deserves this type of service. He kept saying it wasn't his fault, he wouldn't pay the insurance claim or anything. I had no leak problems until he came in and changed my water tank. It's pretty remarkable that this guy is still in business if this is how he treats his paying customers. BE SMART DONT HIRE R W BURTON For your plumbing needs. See attached images.

While I spent a good amount of time on the phone with Rob, the owner, discussing the problem (actually he kept me on the phone for an hour), he DID NOT SHOW for his scheduled appointment time, NOR DID HE CALL ME to let me know he couldn't make it, so I spent the day waiting for him when I had guests I wanted to take out for the day.

After multiple calls and text messages to him, he responded at the end of the day, via text, to say he had been ill with food poisoning, and to let me know when he was available next, and if that time worked for me. He NEVER RESPONDED to my texts or calls again, so I went with another plumber.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY based on the fact that that the owner did not have the professionalism to respond to me when he knew I had a bathroom that was out of commission when I have out of town guests.

BTW - Home Advisor gives him great ratings, so after seeing these negative ratings on Yelp, it makes me think I dodged a bullet with this guy. What a JERK!!!

Rob came out to install a new water heater that had broken. He explained the job and seemed like he was very knowledgeable on the phone. When he installed the water heater, he cut out the existing expansion tank and did not replace. I asked him if I needed the expansion tank and he told me it was not necessary since my water pressure was not high enough. I later found out that it is required by code and that it would have failed the inspection. In regards to the inspection, he failed to inform me that a permit needed to be pulled and that I would need to get it inspected. He claimed later that he tells all his clients prior to the work that they have the option to get it inspected since it costs more money to do so. He made no mention of permits and inspection when I spoke to him prior to hiring his service. Otherwise, I would have opted to get the inspection, especially since I have a gas water heater. I later called him back to have him come out to install the expansion tank that he should have installed when he replaced my water heater and he agreed to come out. He failed to show up the first time, we rescheduled (I had to contact him), he failed to show up a second time with no explanation, and he failed to show up the third time (no explanation). In my opinion, this is highly unprofessional and I do not recommend using his services due to his poor customer service. He claims no job is too small, I'm guessing my job was too small for it to be worth his time.

This is the first negative review I am going to give on homeadvisor. Its not an easy thing to do
Because i recognize that this folks depend on their business and this is their livelihood.
I was ripped off by this plumber. I called him a thief, paid him the money he requested, told him to get out of my house and told him I will give him a negative review.

He came in at 8:40am with his apprentice to give an estimate on the toilet issue I had. Basically the nuts on my toilet bowl had rusted and it was dripping water.
A job which i had done before for $50 (kit in lowes is sold for $11.99 -Item 50751 Model PP235182) . I was preparing for work so i had no time staying with them but instead off giving me an estimate
he proceeded to start working on it without my Okay. Suddenly 30 minutes later he said the cost of the job was $300. I said to myself he has to be kidding, but no he was not.
He said he bought the kit for $70 (probably went to Saudi Arabia to buy it), and he had to pay for insurance, his apprentice blah blah blah
I was in no mood for arguing and wasting time so I gave him $250.

A couple of pointers if you intend to hire this guy
1) Get an estimate FIRST. Do not allow him to start the work without estimate
2) Get other contractors' estimate. For him to say that a toilet repair kit cost $70 means he is very dishonest

As a very unsatisfied customer, I would never recommend this guy to anyone. I am now left with a toilet that doesn't even match the other toilets in the house. Worst of all this one is in the downstairs guest toilet. Sorry American Standard toilet is nothing to brag about, especially when all the rest are Sterling.
I honestly thought this guy was honest, not the case. It's true if there are women by themselves they will be scammed, by men this guy was a pure example.
Surely, if you were a plumber wouldn't you replace the existing toilet with another of the same make and model. I would have said yes. However, that was never mentioned, instead American Standard was the price $425. So seeing as I was in a rush to get my mother to an appointment that day, I accepted it as she can not keep going up and down the stairs to go to the bathroom.
So, he was really quick getting the toilet, which makes you think that maybe this toilet just happen to be in the back of the van the whole time. Anyway, it's cheap looking, plastic little seat and looks like it's designed for midgets. Oh it doesn't even flush properly all the time either.
That's not the last of it though. I had asked for a quote to have a sterling elongated toilet put back in. He ignored me the first day, so I called again and you could tell he did not want to do it, said that he would cut a deal. Hmm!
Called the Friday and said that I wanted to have the elongated sterling toilet put back in, I even went to Home Depot to check prices, as I knew he was going to be full of bologna. Quote came back as $550, because it was elongated. No where did I see in home depot that it would cost more because it was elongated. What a load of bologna. $212.95+$40.00+$139.00=$391.95.
$40 for it to be taken away, $139.00 for home depot to install it and the price of the toilet $212.95 I'd say that is a lot cheaper than $550, on top of the $425 I already paid.
I understand that that is his job, but to spin me crap about other companies and then you do the same, seriously who is the hypocrite! Oh he tried to lower it to $450, I said no thanks and
walked off with one of my hand towels from the bathroom. So no recommendation from me!
