I observed that my furnace was making an odd sound and spotted the R & S sticker on it. I reached out to them, and they arrived quickly to check the issue, notifying us that it was missing a component.

They inquired if we would like to opt for expedited shipping, and we chose to do so. Then an earthquake occurred, so we opted to delay until things calmed down before asking about the completion timeline.

They seemed to be missing our records and seemed puzzled by my wife's call, but ultimately found the part in their office. They indicated that they were occupied with other client jobs related to the earthquake and left it at that.

The day after, I called again to inquire about the schedule and communicated with Rich. He had an attitude and seemed appalled that I would bring up when they would finish the job. I know that other homes may have severe repairs, but it is not unreasonable for them to provide a timeline on when they intend to finish and repair our furnace.

Choosing the fast shipping felt unnecessary, and Rich was condescending and just unpleasant in general. He asserted that he was the manager of R & S Plumbing & Heating, so I would recommend avoiding them altogether. Numerous other companies out there that are more courteous when you contact them. He ought to seek other work where he won't need to deal with clients because positive client interaction can be very impactful.

I got in touch with the team at R & S Plumbing & Heating for service on the boiler in my home during the winter season. In light of the COVID situation, they let me know they were about six weeks out. I wasn't experiencing any problems regarding the boiler, just needed a yearly maintenance check, so I was willing to wait.

The service was booked at 11 in the morning, and they arrived on time. They reached out to me to see if they could come early, though I missed their call. When the technician got here, he recognized the setup we had and said he would be done in about an hour. He managed to clean it and address some leaks that I had noticed. The price was just as he said as he had mentioned. Just about $150. Investing $150 is a good decision for keeping my boiler running at full efficiency and not having to worry about it breaking down during the harsh Alaskan winters.

I appreciate R & S Plumbing & Heating for their professional service and kindness.

The staff at the company were friendly and experienced. I am extremely pleased with the installation of our humidity control device and appreciated the explanation on how to handle it. Their professionalism was noteworthy. I would strongly recommend this plumbing company to anyone in need of plumbing assistance.

I recently moved to Alaska for work. I called R & S Plumbing & Heating to get an estimate for some plumbing work. Regrettably, I was met with unkindness and outright disrespect.

I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior before. I ended up selecting Extreme Heat and Air for my plumbing needs. Their service was professional, quick, and reasonably priced.

I cannot suggest R & S Plumbing & Heating. I was let down by their service. I had a far superior experience with Extreme Heat and Air.

I asked R & S Plumbing & Heating for a price. They took four hours and thirty minutes to change a toilet flange in the second-floor restroom.

I was billed the full hourly rate for four hours, despite the fact that they were out picking up supplies, while fixing the same issue. The job was completed in three hours, that included the trip for parts over the lunch break, but the toilet had a leak, resulting in the plumber took an additional hour to determine what he did wrong.

All parts were standard and were expected to be in the truck. The billing for the job should have been for two to two and a half hours.

I recently experienced an incredibly distressing experience with a representative from R & S Plumbing & Heating. I am quite shaken from the driver's utter disregard for basic decency.

It has been a long time since I visited Eagle River since the new McDonald's was built. I have frequented their parking lot for many years. Thus, I was surprised that they'd changed to a dual lane system when I drove into the designated lane on Eagle River road. A vehicle pulling out of the lot which hindered my visibility of the exit sign in my view. I positioned my car beside theirs as they exited with ample space.

At that moment, I met this plumbing van. The man indicated the clearly visible exit sign, now clearly visible beside my vehicle. I immediately made an expression of realization before gesturing, requesting he reverse a bit and give me space.

A little empathy would suggest the following response: the driver recognized I missed the sign, I'll just back up a few feet and let her safely pass. This would help me understand the new setup that the parking lot structure has changed.

However, that was not his response. Absolutely not. He stood with his arms crossed and shook his head and chose to teach me a lesson. He would not shift the short distance it would have taken for me to safely access the parking lot. Conversely, he compelled me to reverse into busy traffic on the busy main road through Eagle River.

At this point, I am astonished that he had no regard for my safety and placed me in a risky scenario because he was unwilling to budge. By then, I'm troubled that I, a pregnant woman with my mother was left with no choice but to rush to safety. At that moment, I'm truly astonished that he could not take a few steps back.

It gets better. He returned and positioned himself to watch me at the drive-thru so that he could shout at me! Unbelievably. He looped back around, stopped, and remained until I exited. I quickly took out my phone, captured an image of him, which he also did, and started to exit the parking lot. Again driving the wrong way for the sake of taking my photo. Which NO ONE else cared about or even noticed. And this man got out of his van and followed me around the parking lot to further berate me.

In conclusion, I left McDonald's shaking and in tears, feeling far more stressed than is healthy. We will never do business with R&S Plumbing and Heating. He represents the worst aspects of our society, endangering someone because he was not thoughtful enough to move. I'm starting my day absolutely horrified and working to relax. This stress is not what my baby needs.

I experienced excellent service from R & S Plumbing & Heating. The staff was friendly and helpful. Jeremy assisted me and appeared happy to respond to all my concerns and make sure I grasped what happened with my hot water unit. The price of the service felt reasonable, and I will definitely contact this company if I in the future have any plumbing or HVAC needs.

I cannot trust this company. They told us that the hourly rate was going to be less expensive than doing a quote... roughly 300-400 dollars if we ourselves completed most of the preparation, which we did.

After the job, we was stunned when we saw the statement. It was for $1010.00. Nearly three times what they told us. I asked about it, and the technician was kind enough to deduct an hour of work for a single two guys there, which was not mentioned there would be two... for a task that could be done by one.

I had estimates for $500.00 without us being involved, but the technician made it seem a more attractive option. Our team would have absolutely not agreed to them doing the job if we believed it would be above $500.00.

Throughout the job, the technician didn't even tell me that he anticipated he would go over the 300-400 dollars. We would have told him to stop and we would have done the job ourselves. We're entirely able of handling the job, but we thought $400.00 would be worth our time of not having to handle it. What a scam!!!!

EXCELLENT! My toilet began to leak all over the place. I contacted R & S Plumbing & Heating and in just 20 minutes, a technician arrived at my home. The plumber was polite and worked quickly. He fixed everything and the price was actually cheaper than I had expected. Reach out to R & S Plumbing & Heating and you won't be disappointed.

I had R & S Plumbing & Heating install a new water heater more than a year ago and was informed during the sales pitch that this water heater was the top choice and would be without issues for a long time; unfortunately that lasted for approximately 15 months!

Our water heater failed more than a week ago and when I called for Don, I was met with resistance routinely by a discourteous, unhelpful individual who introduced himself as Trent. I requested that Don return my call on at least 3 occasions, but did not get a call.

I finally called again and of course, got Trent, and he informed me he would set up a time for the following week! When I reiterated that my family had no hot water and that was unacceptable, he responded that they could come sooner but that it would be charged at a premium! He also mentioned that my family would also have to cover the cost of the defective part!

Thus, those looking for plumbing services, if you want a reliable product with solid support, I recommend seeking alternatives. I would not suggest this company!
