R.S. Boyers Heating & Air Conditioning
Company Overview
In the spring of 1976, Sam Boyers established R.S. Boyers Heating and Air Conditioning, INC with a promise to deliver top-notch HVAC solutions to the residents and businesses of the Shenandoah Valley and nearby regions. Initially, Mr. Boyers operated with a small team of three in downtown Waynesboro, specializing in traditional forced air heating and cooling systems. William B.first no problem with serviceman but did not call back when instructed with price if I had known it would be over $ 800,00 to replace fan motor would have said no thanks!!! should have called first. bad customer service over priced parts & labor
They charged $131 to install a Single Run Capacitor for my Rheem furnace, which upon a google search costs less than $10 for the part, and it only took about 15 minutes to install. Needless to say I'll not be using B72D EVER again and will tell anyone who asks not to as well. This charge was on top of a service visit charge of $99 so it's not like they made a special trip to replace the Capacitor.
Kevin O.Boyers tech Jay is a great guy. He drove back to his shop to get a part so he can get me up and running. I would recommend Boyers. Great service, great team!

This year I had to replace my central AC unit. I called a well known local company and a representative was scheduled for the following week. He assessed my needs and said he would send a proposal. After a week with no correspondence from him, I called Boyers 72 Degrees. Their representative P. promptly came assessed my needs, recommended 2 units explaining the benefits of both and said he would send a proposal. To my surprise in less than 3 hours I had his proposal! I immediately called back with my choices, equipment was ordered and within a week 2 technicians were here for the install. The instillation was nicer and neater than previous unit and they actually corrected a couple pre-existing issues. Both T. and J. worked diligently and were very thorough, courteous, and professional. I am very satisfied with Boyers equipment and especially their service. I highly recommend Boyers 72 degrees with 5 stars! DB
Roni R.We have had 4-5 technicians come to our house since the end of memorial day weekend and here it is almost 4th of July and the ac unit is still not fixed!!! Two of the times the technicians were constantly on the cell phone and left black hand prints on the wall and mud throughout the house. Each time they are late and they never bring the right part to fix the unit. I have called several times to get an explanation as to why they are always late, un-educated on how to properly install and repair parts to the unit and they refuse to give me any answers instead they are very rude and hang up on me!!! So unprofessional and rude. We have had nothing but problems ever since they installed the unit which has been about 4-5 months ago. We had to go and buy a window unit just to keep the living room cool and block off all the other rooms (rest of the house is always 80-90degrees)!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HIRING THIS COMPANY!!! THEY CLEARLY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR BUSINESSE OR REPUTATION.
Lucas B.I own property at Wintergreen and my HVAC was in need of replacement. I contracted with Wintergreen Resort Services HVAC team to replace my aging unit back in September 2015 with a mid-range Carrier heat pump system. Boyers is a sub-contractor of Wintergreen Resort Services and ultimately did the replacement. First, let me say the system is working properly...but these guys were a calamity from start to finish. The installers did not protect my wood flooring when bringing in the new system and left me a section of damaged floors in front of my HVAC closet in the main hallway -- divets and a deep, foot-long+ scratch(es). I have a security system that records when movement is detected and you can hear the installers talk about the scratches they left and how they should place Boyers' stickers over the dents in the casing to the unit itself. To boot, the indoor unit had dents and scratches on the outside with the Carrier emblem taped on (that quickly fell off form the vibration of the system) from being obviously broken off. After relying on Wintergreen Resort Services to work with their sub-contractor (Boyers) for almost a year to repair my flooring, nothing has happened. The scratch in my hallway still glares at me each time I visit. I have provided the vendor and make of the flooring and nothing has happened to date. I did get the dented metal casing replaced so my unit no longer looks like it fell off the back of a truck -- I guess I can consider that a win since I didn't know I was buying a scratch-and-dent unit to begin with. All this being said, my new system has functioned properly through its first winter and summer. However, the damage to my floors that could have been avoided by putting down cardboard (instead of a sheet), and the fact that a year has passed with no remedial action on their part is the reason I have rated a 1. My mistake was paying the invoice in full since now there is no incentive to make it right. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
UPDATE - 10/2016
Increasing my original review by one star. After a year, my flooring was repaired. I appreciate the fact that the damage to the flooring was eventually remedied, but unsure if I would want to repeat the overall experience. Luckily, my contract is with Wintergreen so I will deal with those guys on any warranty issues. The system seems to be in good working order so far -- fingers crossed.
Virginia Horse F.Did exactly as they promised....and on time!
The two repairmen who came out were polite and thoughtful.

Darren H.Needed emergency service. Technician on the phone was incredibly rude and hung up on me after I said I was looking for estimates from different places. Won't call them ever again for anything. I don't typically wish bad things on people, but after that interaction, I hope they go out of business.
