Company Overview

We have proudly participated in the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Association since 1983. Our focus is on residential plumbing services.

In 1945, Raymond Rexford ""Pat"" Harris launched R. R. ""Pat"" Harris Plumbing, Inc., one of the earliest plumbing businesses in La Cañada Flintridge. The company was taken over in 1959 by Hueit Rodgers, Jr., who was married to Pat Harris's daughter. Working alongside his father, John Rodgers, son of Hueit ""Rod"" Rodgers, gained extensive knowledge of plumbing. Following his father's passing, John took over the business and ran it with his wife Lynne for more than thirty years.

Lynne retired in June 2024, and Carlos Rodriguez, who previously worked at Pat Harris, took ownership. Carlos is committed to providing top-notch service to the community of La Cañada Flintridge and the neighboring areas. In addition, Carlos is the owner of Flintridge Rooter & Fine Plumbing, Inc.. This company also serves the La Cañada area and its surroundings.

Just like the others...I wish I could give NO STARS. I used them for 30 plus years with success. Suddenly, everything went bad. Rude woman in the office, late for appointments, but worst of all, couldn't solve a BIG problem that caused lots of water damage over several months. Keep fixing the wrong problem. RON is the worst plumber around. Doesn't know much and the water district guys teased me for even trusting him. That was scary. I finally found someone to do three major plumbing fixes for many thousands of dollars. Some of it was the fault of the Pat Harris plumbers. It was a total nightmare.

AVOID using this business. They have changed their policy after many years of my using their services. I called on Sunday and left a message that was not returned so I called them on Monday. Although I have been a good customer for many years they had no idea about the history of the plumbing in my home. She told me all of their tech's were out installing water heaters and she could not tell me when they would show up. Hours later they called and said they would be here in a couple of hours. Two tech's showed up and took 2hrs. To do the same clean out that for years took one man 1/2 hr. So instead of $100 the bill was $350. After speaking with the Manager and Shop Mgr. Shouting at me they had no desire to keep me as their customer. Instead he went over all of his regulations, which I didn't need to know. The only method of payment that needed to be paid before the Techs left was check or credit card. The techs had no way to process my credit card and told me I must call the office with info before they would leave. I did and the rude poor customer service began. Finally, after payment I was given a copy of an invoice that was to light to read. I took his copy and made myself a copy that I could read.

AVOID this business! I have used yelp for a long time to search for restaurants and businesses, but never gave reviews. The reason I am writing this is to let people know of the horrible experience I just had. About a year ago, we used this plumber because a family friend had referred us, however she was unaware that the original owner she knew and trusted was longer running it. The first day, a young plumber comes to snake our kitchen sink, he works on it and we even bought him In N Out for lunch to show appreciation for his hard work that day. Keep in mind, the invoice for that day and which we paid stated, ""clear the mainline"" and ""no roots were found."" However, the very next day we found the same sink overflowing and clogged. We call them back and they send the same plumber out, he asks us if he can call another one of his fellow plumbers to come out to help him, which we say would be fine. During this process, we were NEVER told that this would result in an additional charge for a second service as they called it a ""two man job"" was done.

When we later received the invoice with the additional charge, we promptly sent them a letter stating that: 1) We never agreed to paying for the extra plumber to come, 2) We never got our problem solved, 3) We had to hire Mr. Rooter the next day to bring a camera, which identified and confirmed that a tree root was the source of the problem. We never heard back after that.

Just today, this fool named Dan calls my mom threatening her that he is going to ruin her credit by reporting her to collections and demanding that she gives him her credit card information. What disturbed me the most was how he was talking to her in a condescending manner without allowing her to even utter a word. What amount was all of the threats and yelling over? $178.75.

Sorry to see this company got ""down the drain"" They used be very good when I used them in the past. I had them come recently to install a dryer with a tight vent situation. Carlos was great and got the problem solved. I called them today as the vent was clogged. When the manager, Dan called me all he did was rant about that it was installed as best they could and on and on about the new dryers etc. I was trying to get a few words to explain that I thought it was not related to their work but to the part of the vent that goes to the outside but he wouldn't let me talk. I told him he was being rather rude and he proceeded to hang up on me. I frankly have never received such poor customer service from a company. I was truly appalled.

Ironically I was prepared to pay and was not calling to complain about previous service done.

Gave 1 start because I couldn't give less...
Avoid this company...
Unreliable, takes advantage of the elderly, terrible customer service.
Have used their service in the past, but new management have ruined my trust.
Consumer beware...

We had a HORRIBLE experience with this plumber, surprising because we were long-time customers and had used their services multiple times. This last fall we had a leaky shower, and it was growing increasingly worse. When Pat Harris Plumbing came out, they did not have the correct parts and had to return later that day to fix it, but within a week the problem returned. After 2 weeks we could not shut off the shower valve at all. When we called Pat Harris, we were rudely treated and insulted, and told that because we had ""an old shower"" (house was built in 1985, not that old!) they could not get the parts, and sorry it was our fault and they couldn't get a service tech out to see us for at least 1 week. We contacted another plumbing service, they came out the next day and repaired the problem at a lower cost than Pat Harris had charged. The new company's service tech stated that no new shower valve at been installed, no wonder it continued to leak badly.
I wrote a letter to Pat Harris to complain and request our money returned, of course I never heard back. DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER IS YOU CAN AVOID DOING SO!

I used Pat Harris plumbing for over 10 years and had great service and no problems. Recently I asked that they come by for a toilet problem, and because the girl that originally answered the phone didn't write up a ""work ticket"" they wouldn't come by to take a look at the problem until a week later. Not cool. This was a great family run business that has now developed an attitude, I'm guessing because this wasn't a big job. I told them there were lots of plumbers in the area, and they said fine and good luck and go away. So.....good luck to them. No more of my business.

I have used Pat Harris Plumbing for years. Recent changes have been made that have been detrimental to the organization. I no longer trust Pat Harris Plumbing, they are unethical. Two recent calls have proven several different people in this organization are incompetent and when you have to call in a real plumber to fix the problem they will still try to Bill you for their time. I have lost my faith in their ability to fix typical problems. I do not recommend Pat Harris and I don't think they will be around much longer. There should be zero stars in the rating section, but was unable to post this without at least one star.

I wish I could give NO stars! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The review that gave 5 stars is from the company and not someone who used them. I used them and they do not have integrity and are not honest. In fact, everything the review said from July happened to me. The first person who showed up broke the tile in my tub trying to get the part out and then said they didn't have the part on the truck or even the tools to take the broken part out (much like the earlier review) even though I clearly explained what the problem was to the person on the phone. The next day the person who came out actually did fix the part and the broken tile. The problem was that he said I needed a regulator for my water pressure and did I mind if he walked around the house and checked things out. Silly me--who knew he would charge for the time he spent walking around my house telling me how much other work they needed to do! Also--they charged me to drive to Georges plumbing and back instead of leaving the part and telling me I could save a lot of money by getting the part myself and calling them when I had it. (This is NOT integrity or honesty!) When I called about the bill (why did I have to pay for time spent fixing the tile the first person broke or for him to walk around my house?), the owner put me on speaker phone and the plumber who was at my house yelled at me, argued with me, and basically frightened me. There are too many other good plumbers out there. This was a horrible experience!

Called Pat Harris Plumbing regarding a plumbing job; they were booked so made an appointment for 4 business later. They missed the appointment saying my wife had rescheduled; she had not. I cancelled the job and scheduled with another more reliable plumber who was out 45 minutes after my call. I don't know if Pat Harris Plumbing does good plumbing, but their dependability is at question.
