I have been a customer for at least 5 years. I have had them service my furnace and air-conditioner every year. Last November I has to buy a new furnace and air-conditioner. I got them from a different company because they were half the price of R Mech. Now R Mech won't refund my money for air-conditioner service because I paid in advance. Poor customer service if you ask me because of how long I had been a customer. Will not be recommending them to anyone I know.

I called them to unclog my drain in my sink basin in the kitchen. The Tech who showed up claimed our main drain line was clogged despite me telling him the bathroom drains all worked fine and drained quickly. Then he said he needed a camera, which he did not have with him. He stated he might have to tear up the concrete floor in the basement costing 8 thousand dollars. By this time, I knew I had to pay him to just get them out of my house. He wanted 79 dollars which I gladly paid to get them out of my house. I went to Ace Hardware and bought a small hand auger for 25 dollars and ran it down the sink drain only to discover a clogged p-trap under the sink. 8,000 dollars vs. 25 bucks. Run as fast as you can from this company as they are in my opinion dishonest. They used to be known as a good company but not anymore!

Recently had a small leak coming thru our drywall to a downstairs room.
Their tech came out and did a good job diagnosing and fixing the issue which was a broken toilet seal. The problem was their price. We were charged almost $400 for a job that took 10 minutes and a part that was $10. Disappointing.

On 6/3/22 Leonard, RMech HVAC stated one of two 2006 5 ton Trane died, both units were original to the home. Leonard called Dan for a second look and to get a bid going. Dan came out same evening, got us a bid late that night with six options and was willing to come out on Saturday or Sunday to discuss if we wanted. We elected to do a phone discussion on Monday. However, Dan did respond to any questions we had via text, to include questions regarding replacing both systems. Early Monday Dan told us the project was getting reassigned to Justin and he will be reaching out. Justin called around 7:15pm that evening, I was unable to take the call (it was after business hours), however he texted he was walking into NFM with his daughter but was open for a phone call. I found that to be very strange, so late and why call if you are busy? I called him back around 9pm. Justin stated Dan was not skilled enough to deal with the high end Trane systems so he would be handling the project. Justin began down playing the system stating this system will need a ""special"" technician to address any problems and could get very costly. He asked if I was ready for all the cost this system may intel, as if he was trying to talk us out of the system? We are not sure. He also stated the quote (price match) we received from a previous TRANE CERTIFIED DEALER was not of one that would be quality work, as that company was too small (red flag), however I would not allow too much of the smack talk, as I told Justin that technician told me the same thing went out on the system as RMech's technician and they too were a certified Trane dealer. Justin stated NOW I needed to address the zoning panels, thermostats, and a few other issues that may/may not been addressed when Leonard and Dan were physically at the house. Possibly increasing the bid $10,000 on each unit ($20,000). He wanted to come out the following day to do his own assessment, 6/7/22 at noon (12pm), although I was doubtful, I agreed. So we are now 4 days into this and have talked to 4 different people. After Justin not only insulted everyone at RMech, and insulted another Trane contractor we became very skeptical of Justin. My husband called the other contractor early morning 6/7/22 and they set up an appointment at 1pm. Noon came and went with no word from Justin, however a Mr. Jones (person #5) called around 12:15 saying Justin is not available, however he (Mr. Jones) had a lot of knowledge on Trane and will be coming out instead but would not be available until 1:00 or 2:00. The other contractor was scheduled at 1pm so I declined and said tomorrow 6/8/22 around noon. At that point I was over Justin and expressed my concern with Dan about the project and the lack of attention. Although I had not heard from Justin all day, to include rescheduling the appointment, he sent a text wanting to make sure ""we were on the same page""? I said, no we are not on the same page. He stated I was on the books for an appointment 6/8/22 at noon and please call if I need to cancel. Justin, I am giving you more of a courtesy than you gave me. This is your notice, I am canceling our appointment for tomorrow 6/8/22 at noon. We have elected to take our money ($60,000) else where. I am sorry for Dan, I'm sure he lost money on this. My husband and I are in agreement if Dan had been left alone to handle the project we would most likely be doing business. I am still not sure what Justin's end game was but he can go play that nonsense with someone else.

We purchased a Heat Pump for our home, after consulting with some of R-Mech's Technicians. It was a great option for our home and I was incredibly happy with their down to earth advice, and willingness to work within our budget to meet our needs. The installation went well, there were minor issues, but nothing that couldn't be worked around. The real trouble came about 4 months after the installation. We woke up one morning at the end of January to find that our heat had quit sometime in the night. A Technician was promptly sent out to find the issue, he diagnosed it as a bad control board, and told us that we would have to wait two weeks for the part to come in. No problem, we would deal with not having heat for a couple weeks. The part came in on time and was installed, but did not fix the issue. This lead to a game of ""How many parts can we throw at it."" that still isn't finished. It's been 4 months, and while our system now works some of the time, we never know when or what, is going to break next. R-Mech has been mostly unhelpful, with long breaks between contact, and excuse after excuse for why a brand new system keeps breaking. The worst part is that after the initial installation went so well, I recommended them to my friends and family members for their HVAC needs. I can only hope that, if they choose to use R-Mech, they have a more traditional heating system, as it seems like the Technicians have little to no experience with Heat Pumps.

This is a long read, but if you are considering using R-Mech for HVAC or water heater installation I would read this before moving forward. My wife and I own 2 rental properties and 1 main residence. Last summer we decided to replace all three HVAC and water heaters for our homes.
For 2 of the homes, on the day of the install no water heater was brought for install. This caused me to need to schedule a secondary date and time for us to be at the rental property for a secondary install date. Which was difficult on us and our renter that was in the home at the time. The other water heater that did not get scheduled was at our primary home. This caused even more frustration because they disconnected our old water heater while installing the HVAC system and the old water heater did not work when they were finished. Since they did not bring out a new water heater that day for install, we went without hot water for 2 days, as we waited for their team to come back out to install the new water heater.
Additionally, for both of those homes we requested new thermostats be installed. For the rental property, no thermostat was brought out the day of install, so we had to have one brought out another day and time. Again, inconvenience for ourselves and our renter. Unbelievably, for our primary residence they didn't have a thermostat on the work order at all, but luckily the technician had on in his truck, so no delay on install occurred, but the lack of attention to detail and the disorganization of these installs was starting to cause me massive concern on how well these units were being installed.
Unfortunately, my frustration was not over. After the team left our primary home for the HVAC install, we noticed that the house was not cooling, and the furnace was not producing heat when called for. After 24 hours and 2 different technicians coming out, it was finally discovered that the AC unit was not properly set up, which was causing the AC to not cool, and the worst mistake of all was that the power and gas had not been turned back on for the Heater, which is why it was not producing heat when called for.
After all of the above happened, we had several conversations with R-mech management and installation managers, and outside of an apology, little was done to compensate us for our time, energy, and frustration during all of these situations.
If all of that wasn't enough to scare you. R-mech called us last week to schedule a routine check of the unit at our primary home. Against my best judgement, I scheduled that with them and allowed a tech to come into my home. He was here yesterday. The unit was working fine when he arrived. However, I woke up this morning and our home was 60 degrees, and the heater was showing an error message on the thermostat, stating that heat was not being produced when called for. I called R-mech and Justin Munsterman (R-mech's Operations Manager) called me back after I requested to speak to ownership. He proceeded to tell me how great their reviews are and that they have had issues with ""Lemon"" HVAC systems in the last year, and he can't believe his technician is the reason for my system not returning heat. Obviously, I had a few choice words for him as his comments were stupid and didn't make sense based on the situation. My heater worked before his tech arrived, it didn't work when he left. Seems pretty cut and dry, but he didn't seem to feel that way and provided horrible customer service. Luckily, R-mech sent out another tech to check what was going on, and it was discovered that the original tech that did the routine check had forgot to reconnect our air intake sensor, and the unit would not turn on because of the safety switch that was triggered, thus proving that it was the original techs fault the system was not operating, just as I suspected.
I highly recommend you look for another place to do business. This has been a nightmare. They will never step foot in any of my homes again, even for a routine check-up.

We have used this company 3x now & will use them again within the next 30 days, plus 60 days!!! The had a gas line break in Kansas and could of cancelled my appointment, instead came at 1130 PM. I was short on funds and he lowered the price, so I could do dishes again ......

This is the second time we've used these guys and they're amazing. They installed a new furnace for us on Christmas eve last year, and then fixed a drain problem for us today. We had another company come out yesterday 4eco services and they were unable to fix the drain after 1.5hrs. R-Mech arrived 30mins early and had the drain fixed in 30mins. I would def recommend these guys, they're professional and their prices are fair, Thank you R-Mech for helping us, your technicians are courteous and good at their jobs. Thanks again

They are a big enough company to have certain advantages, like availability, and *sometimes* their prices are competitive. The plumber who came to my house this morning informed me that he doesn't wash his hands or wear a mask unless clients ask him to because he thinks it's overblown. Once they charged me $160 for $20 part on my air conditioner. The explanation was they can charge whatever they like.

Ordered a neighborhood deal on DIMBY for an air conditioner clean, check, and service. Fine print said that you could also use this for a diagnostic visit. I called to request a service visit as our unit stopped working last night and was told by a manager that they would not honor it because they ""didn't have any info from DIMBY yet"". I told them I already had the order with the voucher number and everything. I was told they could come out, but they wouldn't honor the voucher until possibly July. If they came now, I would be charged full price and would have to request a refund through DIMBY. We can't wait until next month in order for our order to be honored when we have a non-working A/C. Will go somewhere else and will be putting the word out to everyone I know about their ""customer service"".
