Set up air conditioner clean and check up through our home owners association. $55.00 seemed to me to be a fair deal. When tech arrived he checked inside first then outside. Outside is where he found that the capacitor was not within tolerance and suggested that it should be replaced. I agreed to let him replace it at the tune of $225.00, which I thought was a lot, however I did not want to have the unit fail, so I decided to bite the bullet. The day after he left I was in the side yard near the air conditioner and noticed the tech left the old capacitor as well as the box that contained to new capacitor laying in the lawn, so I decided to check the part number on Google and low and behold found numerous places that sold the same capacitor for well under $10.00. Now I understand the the need for a company to mark up their parts; but by a 2,225% markup? That is obscene! No more R-Mech for me.

Justin Munsterman came out to service my heat pump. He called ahead of time to confirm when he would be arriving. He spent the time to walk me through what he was doing and why. Justin also gave me his opinion on the condition/quality of both my heat pump and heating unit. His professionalism, honesty, and integrity far exceeded any experience I've had before. He's a very knowledgeable tech and a high quality person. I strongly recommend working with Justin. I plan to request him for any and all of my future A/C and heating needs.

Mike is the man. I had a new Ac unit installed earlier in the week and today it wasn't quite working right. Mike came out quickly looked everything over determined the problem and fixed it on the spot and now the new AC is working great again. He set up a follow too to come back and make sure its still going next week. He was open and told me everything going on and asked if i had questions and made it easy with him as usual. Always know he will get it done.

I interviewed four companies for the replacement of my 30 year old HVAC and hot water heater. R-Mech was not the highest or the lowest but they were the most interested in what our needs were. They were respectful of our ideas for high efficiency and, after a ton of measurements, offered a few really good suggestions. What really separate them from the pack was respect, not just conversation but in action. Of the four companies, they were the only one who bothered to cover their boots when they came in. The others tromped down my carpeted halls with muddy boots and never even thought about it. That consideration carried over to the job. They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, were polite, and professional. We will use them again.

In the last year I've used R-Mech to install a tankless hot water heater, a whole-house water softening system, a garbage disposal, they've replaced a toilet and I just had them back out to replace all of the fixtures for a kitchen sink. They're always in and out quickly and do a great job and clean up after themselves when done. I wish I'd have known about them a couple years ago when I replaced my AC and heater in my home.

Total rip-off. They bill you $50 just to walk in the door and DO NOT apply it, any of it, to your final bill. Even if they show up for 5 minutes and do nothing : $50 bucks. Not cool.
