Rick and his staff have been our plumbers for just about 17 years now. They're outstanding. I have never had an issue or problem with either their work or professionalism. I find their pricing to be more than fair, their work to be of the best quality and everyone on staff is so pleasant and easy to work with. I would and have recommended them to many folks. Hands down, five stars, each and every time

Do not use them as they don't understand proper customer service. I was a happy repeat customer for years. I called them up because we had a lot of water flowing randomly behind our washing machine (a large stacked washer dryer in a tight spot). Wasn't sure if it was an appliance problem or a general plumbing problem. They said they won't charge us unless they fix something. They have four people there and move the machines. They find a leaking condensation line not properly going into the drain. They also made a few small adjustments with the washing machine itself as well. They fix that and I pay them $200 no problem. Later that day when we are running the washing machine after some time it keeps erroring out with an error code indicating the machine isn't receiving water (which is a new problem). My wife and I call back the next day saying we have a new problem with the washing machine that we never had before. We explain the problem to be what seems like no water going to the machine and happened only after they left. We asked for them to return to the house to take another look or refund our money. McGlynn plumbing was 100% certain that it wasn't caused by them and they REFUSE to come back to the house to check it out saying now we should call an appliance person. I end up moving these stacked machines with my wife. Sure enough they forgot to turn the water back on. Everybody makes mistakes from time to time but being so stubborn as to not return to a repeat customer is just poor business practice. Stay away!

Had leak under kitchen sink from strainer and putty. They replaced strainer and putty. Four months and $250. later leak is back and had to throw out everything under sink because of water damage and mildew. Started looking for plumber that can actually fix leak. Will never do business with this company again.

Extremely professional and fast response time. I had an issue with a leaky pipe and the first company I saw gave me an obscenely high quote. Luckily my father convinced me to get a second opinion so I contacted this company instead. He was able to get the repair done within minutes and it only costed $200. I will be using this company again if any other plumbing issues arise and recommending them to everyone I know.

Life savers !
We had a leak in the faucet that another plumber repaired but days later turned to a full blown flood under my sink! I contacted this company, they sent out two guys ASAP within hours! And they knew right away the problem- turns out we just needed a whole new faucet. Literally took two mins to figure that out. My husband went out to buy a faucet that afternoon after work- the next day Rob and Pete came to install it. They were even super accommodating since we ended up buying the wrong faucet. They went to Lowe's to get us the right one. Super friendly, personable, clean, professional and fast

Thank you so much guys!

I hired them to place an out door spigot and I am not happy with the final job, nor the attitude of the employees that performed the work. The workers, when they got started appeared inexperienced and did not measure properly. They caused a small fire, left dirt all over the walls and the spigot moves too much bc the hole is larger than the pipe and they would not place a bracket to hold it in better or secure it to the outer wall. Even the caulking placed is terrible. They also tried to alter the original agreement of the work to be done. One employee was obnoxious & very forward when asked to secure the pipe better. They made me very nervous and I was not happy with their loud & obnoxious response when I pointed out the moving pipe that will have a hose attached to it!! I Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!

I have to say, I had a plumbing emergency, very responsive and honest.
I always use a licensed company, it is very important so you know the work is done right. Rick and his helper came quick and solved the problem and did not rip me off. I am a landlord and have been using this company for years and have had excellent experiences. Even the office staff is great. If you need someone professional I highly recommend!

I am saddened to read the previous negative reviews on R. McGlynn Plumbing Corp.. Since I'm big on reviews and know how much they can make or break a business...So here I am writing my honest review on this business.
I am a new home owner and did a deadly mistake of turning off the heat before going away on vacation (for 3 days), temperatures dropped to -13 while I was away which caused a disaster of freezing and breaking one of the pipes on the second floor. Not only it broke, it was an unstoppable fountain which I had no clue what to be done to stop it. I called several emergency 24 hour plumbing with no luck. A friend of mine advised me to shut the water just to contain the damage until I get a professional to fix it. I was referred to McGlynn by the contractor/builder of the house (I would have most likely not use there services after reading previous reviews if I didn't have an emergency), so I called them the first thing in the morning and the lady on the phone was very helpful and tried her best to have a tech come in (she squeezed in the appointment - apparently a lot of people had the same issue since the temperatures were unusually cold). I was lucky enough for Eric the owner to come in and fix the pipe, plus another issue with the main sewage was solved. He was very thorough and professional with his work. Eric didn't leave until he checked all pipes and ensured we are all set.

Another episode had happened after 3 days where my mom turned off the heat (I don't know why she did but it happened) and we ended up with no water throughout the whole house. We called McGlynn again and Eric advised us what to do, he was also so kind enough to pass by and check on the pipe (gave us more tips so we won't have another disaster) with NO Charge!

My personal experience with McGlynn Plumbing was great and most importantly is you are dealing with honest people who really care. I highly recommend.

I'm not sure they even deserve one star. They are supposed to coordinate with Loews, however clearly this is not the case. They tried to give excuses and avoid doing their job (installing a dishwasher) outright. I'm not sure how it is possible for a business to survive, which doesn't do its job and costs Loews bits of reputation and business as well. We have been trying to install a dishwasher for 4 months now, but to no avail. The first time, second time and third time we tried, there were miscommunications between them and Loews, but mostly it was because they didn't want to or feel like installing the dishwasher. The first dishwasher that we waited a month for had fit, however there seemed to have been an electrical issue, which was of course dismissed as a glitch with the dishwasher itself. A month later and another dishwasher ordered later, now the excuse that was that the previous dish washer was too big, even though it was because they thought it was broken. Therefore the dishwasher that we reordered and waited a month for would not be installed. Nothing about the dishwasher being too large had ever been mentioned until this point. Another few months later with ordering a different dishwasher that would surely fit, they finally had come to install the dishwasher. I thought that maybe it was that these assholes were coming from NJ and that it would be a pain for them to travel into the island and do their job that they're being paid for, but no, they're situated comfortably in Staten Island. With the last dishwasher, they begrudgingly arrived hours late, installed it, but there was clearly an electrical issue being that it would turn on, show an error but not pump the water out. They did not stay long enough to elucidate this problem and had run off after lazily turning it on a second time ""oops I guess I was wrong it does turn on"" after they had said that this one was also simply broken and should be returned to Loews. It doesn't seem that they are competent or know what they are doing. We are going to have a Bosch person take a look at it and help us figure out what the actual problem is. All in all, avoid these unprofessional and ignorant ""plumbers"" , because they do not do their job.
