Anyone thinking of using this plumbing service, Think Again .......
This is hands down the most uninterested, rudest people I have Ever experienced, and do not stand behind their work.
I had used them on another service call, they seemed o.k. Not overly enthusiastic, but showed up, and completed job.
Less then six monthes ago I had an outdoor faucet leaking, called them, they came out, replaced nozzle, was here literally 10 minutes,
paid $ 150.00. They are based in the next town, so little travel time.
Within one month of installation of new faucet, I noticed in either direction the knob would turn many extra times, which didn't seem right.
So I contacted the company, the owner said they would come check it, did not return, called again weeks later, again owner said they would come back, and did not come.
I continued to use it this way, less than 6 mos later, the faucet became stuck in the open position, would not turn off. The company knew that I needed to use this faucet at least twice daily, as I have horses, have a well, so water cannot be left running.
Once again I called, spoke to the owner, have always remained pleasant with the owner, he said he was completely booked that day, and would call me back. He did not call back, called again the next day, got their voicemail, left message, no return call. The third day I called from another phone, owner answered, the first thing out of his mouth was
"" Don't think we will come back with out you paying for another faucet"".
I explained there were issues from the beginning, they refused to come back and check it. He was not interested, was extremely nasty, and spoke inappropriately.
I was forced to get another plumbing company, and pay again, only this time a proper faucet was installed. I was told the faucet that was previously installed was a $ 6.00 boiler faucet, not meant for an outdoor faucet.
In all my years of being a home owner, and owning rental properties, I can honestly say, this companies owners are some of the most miserable, uncaring people I have ever dealt with.
Operating a small business service company myself, I know if you are not dependable,don't want to treat your customers well, and stand behind your work. You have no business being in business.......

Excellent service! They replaced a leaky drain a year ago, and I haven't had a problem with it since. Last week, I accidentally knocked off a valve on an old radiator and had hot water spraying every where! I called them and he was here in 5 minutes! Fixed the radiator and taught me how to shut off furnace water and was done in under an hour. I will always use these reliable, kind gentleman!

If you want someone who is seriously overpriced, never lets you know if they're running late and doesn't finish the job, then don't call these guys. This father-son team was excellent. They were recommended by a friend, and I'm glad I called. Six months ago I had someone else come in, and within time what they ""fixed"" was not fixed. I was not shocked. So Richard, the father, told me when I called he's semi retired so they'll be here ""about"" 9...but it might not be exact. Amazing, old world communication. No app needed. They both came on Friday, identified the issues on the four projects (shower and faucet leaking, toilet leaking to basement, installation of new vanity, etc), and said they could come on Tuesday. I bought the vanity and fixture. Within 3.5 hours they fixed and installed everything, and cleaned up perfectly. Richard and James also pointed out what was incorrectly done by the yahoos who never fixed anything. They will not be the cheapest you'll find, but they got the job done. And this comes from someone who detests calling anyone in the trades. In the end I hear no leaks. Its sorta white noise you get used to. And I retired the bucket in the basement to catch the leaking from the toilet.

Used to be good for years but not anymore. They don't have their act together. When you call them it seems like you're bothering them and the work isn't that good. I deleted them off my contacts and replaced with a much better plumber.

I called them to find a plumber to take a look at a bathroom sink pipe leak. The person who answered the phone, just said hello. I asked, is this RJ Scarpa Plumbing? He said, yah. I then proceeded to tell him I'm looking for a plumber to look at a bathroom sink pipe leak, would you be able to come out? He asks when? I said today? He said, No. I asked, when then? He says tomorrow. I said what time? He then says, I don't know, when I'm done with the two other jobs I have to do. I still give him a chance to act a little more professionally, and asked, so you can come by tomorrow, but you're not sure what time tomorrow yet? He says, well maybe afternoon. Then proceeds to ask me, how am I going to get paid for this once I'm done. My response, you know what, let me call you back. Needless to say, I did not hire them, will never hire them, and I will never recommend them to anyone.

My tub broke, and we had to shut off hot water to the house. My landlord gave me permission to find a plumber. I found R&J Scarpa through a site other than yelp. They had a ton of positive reviews.

So I called them up, and they agreed to show up the next day before 11. They warned me they were running late (my landlord asked him to pick up something on the way over). They were in and out and fixed what needed to be fixed. They didn't try to argue for additional services I didn't need (rusty brown water, happens when you turn off the water heater, let the facet run for 30minutes).

So now R&J Scarpa has a review on Yelp, to go with the positive work they are doing on the other site :)
