We accidentally hit our home sewer line when digging our deck footings (quick fyi, the Call Before You Dig folks don't mark those) and I called basically every plumber in Duluth because we had backed up the sewer all the way to the basement shower. Awesome. Mehrman & Sons was one of the plumbers that I called. Bob called me back and was at my house within 20 minutes. So high points begin there. He immediately got on the phone with an excavator and managed to get it all scheduled for the very next day. He even contacted the city inspector and got us a waiver on their usual requirement to rebuild the line all the way to the city sewer (already a savings of probably $5,000-10,000).
That evening his excavator came by to check out the dig site to make sure he had the right equipment and understood the job for the next morning. At precisely 8 AM the dig began and we had sewer back up and running by 10:30. He also sent a camera down the line all the way to the main sewer so that we would know the status of the remaining line. When I got home at noon the entire job was done, the work area was clean and the dirt was compacted flat (even the stuff left piled up by our deck people was compacted).
I'm happy to say we now have our plumber of choice in Duluth. I highly recommend Mehrman R J & Sons for their expediency and quality of work. :D!!!

I would not recommend there services. Very much deceiving and absolutely no customer service skills. You get service and have no choice but to pay what they tell you with Zero explanation of costs prior. On top of that he didn't do the work and called another company to come out and complete the work and gave me zero info on that's what he was doing. He also added another fee just to call this other company and when I asked why it was so much I was told that's what the sub contracting company sent me. That was a lie because I called the sub contracted company and they told me what was sent to RJ Mehrman and sons. When questioned about it he just said that's just what it is. Customer service was horrible. I felt like I was deceived and will absolutely never use their services again. I guess I learned the hard way.
