I tried calling several times and left several messages and email through the website..after 3 weeks, I FINALLY get a call from a man, that introduced himself as Bob Moon, that was so rude! I told him I had already hired someone for my remodel, the work had already been completed, that I needed the work done right away, that it's an entire bathroom, I need it completed before my family came from out of town. His response, "" you probably called one of them Spicks! They work faster and cheaper than I do anyway!"" and after some other choice words, ended with, "" I don't need your work, anyway!"" and the phone abruptly hung up!
I was in SHOCK! When I told my husband, he was very upset at how Bob Moon spoke to me and googled their location as soon as he came home from work. We were in disbelief that the company owner would truly speak to a potential customer this way, so we got in the car and headed to R.E.Moon Specialty Services to see if it was possibly a disgruntled employee. It turns out, it is at Mr. Moons HOUSE, with a driveway full of junk and broken down vehicles, grass growing up over everything and a pond full of muck! A larger, gruff, elderly man and a dog came waddling out of the house and without asking who we were, or before we could get a word out, told us to get off of his property. I said, ""excuse me, Mr. Moon?!"", his reply, ""OBVIOUSLY YOU AINT FROM AROUND HERE, WHATEVER YOU'RE SELLING, I'M NOT BUYING"", I don't know if that was a dig at my skin color? Last I knew, African-American women like myself are ALL OVER Ann Arbor! We just got in the car and left. You cant argue with ignornace! I recommend this company to NO ONE!
I thank the Lord for small favors, in that he never returned my calls sooner!

A few days ago I came home and discovered that three pieces of siding had fallen off of the house during a strong wind storm a few nights before. Anxious to get it repaired, I called R.E. Moon Specialty Services and a few others. Moon Services were the first to get back to me
and I scheduled them to come out in three days. They came over and surprised me by
doing several jobs in addition to the siding. Mark and Rob are terrific workers!! Mark got up
on the ladder and nailed all three pieces of siding back so it looks good as new! Then he
caulked around some windows on the side of the house that were missing the caulking!
He also got the sawzall and trimmed the Black Walnut Tree that was scraping the chimney
on that side of the house. Then Rob cut up the branches and put them into three trash cans.
During the next hour Mark and Rob got up on the garage roof and wiped down all of the siding
above the garage roof!! They did a great job getting rid of the green mold that had grown
there. They did so much during their two hours! I am so grateful for these two hard working
and honest repair men! They are the greatest!!

On Tuesday my boyfriend called me and told me he some bad news. The neighbor's tree fell on our house in a huge storm. I rushed home and found the massive beast laid into the side of our house. Now, it could have been much worse given the size of the tree but there was a hole punctured through the top of the roof. The roof I just had replaced less than 2 years ago. Cue a lot of swearing and crying.

The worst part? The rain was off and on. And we had a hole in the roof. A lot of trees and damage in the neighborhood and every roofer I called wasn't answering or had a busy signal. I couldn't get anything repaired until insurance came to assess the damage but I could put something temporary up to prevent additional water damage.

As we stood outside of our house tending to the gawkers and giving news interviews, I tried desperately to get a hold of someone. Then I saw the R.E. Moon truck drive by. I told my boyfriend, ""GO GET THEM!"" and so he ran after them. They were headed to a house down the street (which had far more damage than ours) but they said they'd stop by and take a look when they could. About an hour later they came over and said they'd help us patch if they could. I already loved them.

They climbed up onto our roof, navigated the tree (which was still there, the city was slated to remove it), cut the branches out of the hole, cleared the space, and nailed down a tarp that has been holding up the last 2 days and through flood causing rains. A great job and I am forever grateful that they took the time to do that.

I haven't used them for anything else and depending on what insurance requires me to do or use I may not use them for further repairs in this instance, however their good will, promptness, and awesome care in the midst of a crisis really won me over. I could definitely see myself calling them for any elective work we have to do on the house in the future. High fives and mega props all around.
