We discovered a dripping/leaking water heater today. Using Angie's List I requested a quote from R.E.I. Plumbing and 4 others for an emergency water heater evaluation. Roland called me back in less than two
minutes and had someone at our house 30 minutes later. None of the other plumbers even called me back.

They stayed late on a Friday to change out our water heater and make sure we had hot water before we went to bed. Price was more than reasonable and there was no 'emergency' or special charge for working late on a Friday night.

R.E.I. and Roland will have my business from
here on out. I highly recommend them.

REI is a one man show that fast talkes the unknowing..RUN !! Horrible workmanship !!!!! Can't believe this guy calls himself a plumber. Roland takes full advantage of an unknowing woman who calls to have a leak fixed. View these pics and invoice and see for yourself that this is subpar plumbing work. BEWARE!!!! Has no clue what he is doing... when I told him that the faucet line should be straight down, unable to be stepped on. Roland replied with. " just don't stand on it" NEVER USE THIS GUY !!!! below is proof in these pictures
I had him come back and fix the 2 pipe monstrosity (see pics) and then he called the exposed pvc, acceptable. And just don't step on it he said???? What the hell ??? For $1900 ?

We had a cracked toilet and needed to replace I i with a new one. Called this company this morning for an appt and had a plumber here several hours later. Less than 30 mins for the new installation. Would use again.

This guy, Roland, who sold us and installed a tankless water heater for cash (supposedly at a discount for cash) came back to our house because the heater was not working. After over 10 minutes of examining the heater he quoted $225+tax to fix it, which we reluctantly agreed. After 10 more minutes of work I was presented an invoice on his phone where nothing was readable. I paid and signed the credit card. I found out he has charged more than he quoted. When I called to see why, he said your unit is different from what I quoted. This is definition of absolute fraud because he had examined the unit and the unit is what he sold us.
This guy is a crook, if you ask me. There are better people to deal with.

I was charged $680.00 for a 2hr repair requiring 1 man w/truck on a weekday at 2pm. with $20.00 worth of material. You decide if you want to pay $300.00 an hour for a simple repair.

Roland was very determined in replacing our water heater. He came to the rescue on short notice at night and did not rest until our hot water was back to functioning 100%, even if he had to haul a 100lb unit up two flights of stairs. This service was professional and punctual. Highly recommend.

Don't hire Roland. He came out to repair a leak in a bathroom. After several tries to find the leak(one try damaged a shower head and the pipe feeding it), I asked if it could be caulking around the soap dish. His reply was "no." Then he proceeded to cut a large hole in the sheetrock backing to the shower/tub area which was located in the garage. Nothing appeared to be leaking there but water was still evident when running the shower. He went back in the bathroom and said it had to be the soap dish. After putting silicon around the soap dish, leak stopped. He provided a bill for repairs and replacement of one toilet flapper, $300+ dollars. It took over an hour for me to clean up in the garage, remove the blue tape he left around the shower delivery pipe, and clean the tub area left in a mess. Previous repairmen used left the repair area, minimally, as clean as it was on arrival. The leak is fixed with an effort of about 15 minutes, but I have a several hundred dollar repair needed to replace the sheetrock damage. I'm not a pleased customer and will not use this company again.

If I could give this company a lower rating, I would. I would never recommend him or do business with him again. I can't explain how violated I felt after doing business with him. He told me a job would cost thousands of dollars to fix and then it only took a couple of hours to do the work. Did he align the bill with the work.... No. He charged thousands of dollars for just a few hours of work. My experience with the company and the technician was terrible. Maybe the worst interaction that I have ever had with a contractor. Take my advice. Look elsewhere for quality work and ethical people.

REI called a few minutes after I sent out a search on Angie's List. An appointment was set up for later in the day. Roland showed up right on time, assessed the problem, informed me what it was and how much it would cost to repair. The price was reasonable and the parts were available. Since I agreed to have the work done, there was no service charge My tankless hot water heater was up and running within half an hour. I couldn't have asked for asked for more prompt or professional service. Would definitely use this plumber again.
