Based on a previous outstanding Yelp review for this business, I called R.E. Godwin & Sons to inspect and repair a hot water leak in my basement after Hurricane Sandy. They committed to checking it out for me the same day and were good to their word. Julianne even called me a couple times to let me know the status of a job before mine, so I wouldn't be inconvenienced. When they arrived, it took Richard (he and Julianne are the owners) about two minutes to spot the leak in my copper pipe. In just over an hour, the pipe was removed, replaced, welded dry and I had hot water. The prices are reasonable and fair. I highly recommend R.E. Godwin & Sons and will call them the next time I have need of a plumber.

The name R.E. Godwin came up. Both Mr. Godwin and his wife are LLC plumbers. They returned my call promptly, arrived on time, neat and clean, and completed and corrected the problem efficiently and in a competent manner. I had never met them prior to this experience and would certainly call them again for future plumbing needs.

I called R.E. Godwin & Sons because I had a terrible sewage smell in my house. They quickly discovered that it was an open sewer vent in the attic and resolved the issue. The whole process took less than 20 minutes. It was not a major job, but I was very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. They seem trustworthy and I would use them again.

Forget everything you've ever heard about plumbers and overpricing.
Their service I doubt can be matched by anyone. We called at 8am for
a price on replacing our well pump. Their truck pulled into our driveway by 11am and before nightfall our 650 ft well had a new pump and piping installed. When the house was brand new 12 years ago it never had the water pressure we now enjoy.
Thanks to Richard, Julianne, and their son William our newborn granddaughter will arrive home from the hospital this morning to fresh clear water.
