Though his business was tiny, his influence was significant. We have built a strong base of loyal customers. We aim to amaze them and prove we are here to help. R.C. Gochenour and Son Plumbing LLC is dedicated to serving the plumbing needs of Harrisonburg and the surrounding areas, including Page and Rockingham Counties.

As the son and grandson of plumbers, I learned the trade early. Our grandfather, R.C., was the patriarch of our family. He introduced us to the plumbing trade when we were young. We would set out with him early on Saturday mornings in his old white Ford plumbing van. The van was emblazoned with ""R.C. Gochenour & Son's Plumbing and Heating"" in large red letters. Granddad taught us the trade and the value of hard work. In those days, he made sure we earned what we got. I went on to work for various companies throughout the 1990s and into the new millennium. In 2008, I took the step to earn my plumbing master license. Years later, in early 2014, I made the choice to acquire a Class A contractor's license and reestablish a version of Granddad's old business... Thus, R.C. Gochenour & Son Plumbing LLC was founded in late 2014.

As a young boy, Granddad would rise early on Saturdays to take me out in that old white Ford plumbing van. We would set off to handle a project someone had called him about the day before. In those early days, Granddad taught us the importance of hard work. As I entered my teenage years, I spent summers working with plumbers, mostly uncles from my mom's side of the family, in Northern Virginia. After graduating in 1989, I continued my journey in the plumbing trade. After more than nine years in residential plumbing, I moved into industrial plumbing with a local firm in the Valley. I spent the next 14 years there, gaining extensive experience and knowledge of larger pipes. I climbed the ranks to foreman and then general foreman before leaving the Valley for a Project Supervisor position at a larger construction and engineering company. The desire to do things my way never faded. Thus, in late 2014, R.C. Gochenour & Son Plumbing LLC came into existence.
