We connected with RB Travis via Homeserve, and I can't express how grateful I am for their professional service. We had a significant water leak, and Josue( worker), who came onsite to work on this repair, was super courteous, friendly, professional, and highly diligent. A massive round of applause to the company who have hired such workers(10/10)

I manage many HOA's in the East Bay and use RB Travis for most of them. They are super responsive same day many times. The work quality is beyond wonderful and professional. I would highly recommend this company for anyone that has any plumbing issues.
They always go approve and beyond. Carlos, Ric, Hank, Ez along with everyone else are beyond wonderful and don't forgot the office staff they are always professional. Is company is beyond wonderful and I will always call them first.

I had a slow water leak at the pipe joint just outside my house, where the high pressure water pipe from the main water line meets the pipe coming out of the house. The HomeServe, a company that insures my exterior water service line, sent the RB Travis contractor to fix the leak. My experience with RB Travis is as follows.
1) They came at 11 am and cut off my water supply to the house without informing me, even though they were scheduled to come in between 12 Noon and 3 PM.
2) After taking two and a half hours, they apparently fixed the leak, only for it to turn into a major leak at the new joint after day and a half.
3) When contacted about it, RB Travis response was not very helpful. So I called my insurance company to send some other contractor to rectify the even bigger problem that RB Travis created.
4) Normally, I do not post reviews. But, this time I feel compelled to do so.

""We are a Flat Rate Company"". We just don't do that? So you won't tell me how long it would take to do the work for a pretty straight forward repair? I have 2 previous negative experiences with this company at my previous property. So if I have it right, a 1-2 hour job maximum the part is $200 so the labor is $700-$1,400 an hour? I asked what is your hourly rate. She said we don't do it that way but it would be $325/hour. So how long would it take to replace this valve? We are a flat rate company. We don't do that. So you can't tell me how long it will take to replace a valve. You have the right to use another company. Okay. I will do that.

Very rude staff. They promised to finish a repiping project in 5 days and that took 19 days instead! They started the work and after they created a mess in the kitchen and living room and only 2 days of work, they left and came back around 2 weeks later to finish the job that would only take couple of hours to be finished. Once I called them and told them you need to finish the work sooner as the situation is really hard for us to live here specially since we all work from home, May (their staff) told me you have water and electricity so you can live there. Another time that I called them, once I told May if this was your house you0 would0 finish this asap, she said you are not the owner and only renting there. So, I don't recommend them at all as they wont finish on time at all and their staff is very rude!

I used RB Travis to install our 1st water heater about 5 years ago. Even with an insurance, I still had to pay $$ out of pocket.
Recently my water heater started leaking. I called RB Travis and they came out and said the water heater is still under a manufacturers warranty, but I will have to call the manufacturer to work out the warranty details. If I wanted them to get involved, they would charge me $225/hour for just this part. When I questioned this, the manager/owner said that his normal charge was $325/hour and would not budge. Geez, I should be so lucky.
I decided to pay their fee of ($79) just to come out to look at the problem and find someone else who I can rely on to help when needed. This is how this company chooses to treat their customers.

We had a clogged kitchen sink to the point where I knew it was beyond the help of an application of Draino.
We were assigned RB Travis based on our indoor plumbing insurance. Corey came out to diagnose and solve our issue. He was methodical and dealt with our clogged kitchen sink promptly and efficiently. He looked at several common spots and figured out the clog was in the horizontal pipe underneath the sink. He was polite, helpful, and cleaned up after his service call. I'm delighted to have a functioning sink again and highly recommend RB Travis.
P.S. Plumbers often have to deal with emergencies and it's sometimes unpredictable when a particular job will be finished and they can move onto the next one. Please be kind to the plumbers even if you don't have a great experience with the scheduler.

Over several weeks I heard a hissing noise in one of the bathrooms. Finally got my husband to agree that it was a leak. I determined that the leak was under the house.
We had not too long ago signed up for the HomeServe insurance so we contacted them. Their partner, R B Travis Plumbing called us to setup an appointment. The HomeServe insurance is worth every penny.
R.B. Travis sent a wonderful technician, EZ, who assured us he would get the problem fixed. He had to go under our house and ended up traveling from the master bedroom all the way to the garage as he tracked where the leak was located. He then tried to fix it through the garage but could not reach it.
So he went back under the house, and working in the wet and cramped space he got to the connector that was broken and he fixed it. He did not give up until the leak was gone. He did call a coworker for some help but EZ was the one under the house for hours getting soaking wet but persisting until the problem was solved.
Not every plumber has employees as dedicated to getting the job done. We are beyond thrilled with the work and the fact that we were only down a few hours.

$500.00 per hour to replace 4 sewer pipes. Total cost of job $3500.00 per hour.
Need I say more?
I will say two techs were professional, nice and assessed my problem.
Another appraisal came in at $900.00.
What would you do?

We discovered a leak near the front of the house recently. RB Travis was contacted and in less than 24 hours Carl was dispatched to investigate and fix the issue. We were given a 3 hour timeframe for his arrival (which was adhered to), and were able to track his progress towards our job online. Once he arrived, he diagnosed and fixed the small, but complex leak within 3 hours. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.
