We had a clogged kitchen sink to the point where I knew it was beyond the help of an application of Draino.

We were assigned RB Travis based on our indoor plumbing insurance. Corey came out to diagnose and solve our issue. He was methodical and dealt with our clogged kitchen sink promptly and efficiently. He looked at several common spots and figured out the clog was in the horizontal pipe underneath the sink. He was polite, helpful, and cleaned up after his service call. I'm delighted to have a functioning sink again and highly recommend RB Travis.

P.S. Plumbers often have to deal with emergencies and it's sometimes unpredictable when a particular job will be finished and they can move onto the next one. Please be kind to the plumbers even if you don't have a great experience with the scheduler.

Over several weeks I heard a hissing noise in one of the bathrooms. Finally got my husband to agree that it was a leak. I determined that the leak was under the house.

We had not too long ago signed up for the HomeServe insurance so we contacted them. Their partner, R B Travis Plumbing called us to setup an appointment. The HomeServe insurance is worth every penny.

R.B. Travis sent a wonderful technician, EZ, who assured us he would get the problem fixed. He had to go under our house and ended up traveling from the master bedroom all the way to the garage as he tracked where the leak was located. He then tried to fix it through the garage but could not reach it.

So he went back under the house, and working in the wet and cramped space he got to the connector that was broken and he fixed it. He did not give up until the leak was gone. He did call a coworker for some help but EZ was the one under the house for hours getting soaking wet but persisting until the problem was solved.

Not every plumber has employees as dedicated to getting the job done. We are beyond thrilled with the work and the fact that we were only down a few hours.

$500.00 per hour to replace 4 sewer pipes. Total cost of job $3500.00 per hour.

Need I say more?

I will say two techs were professional, nice and assessed my problem.

Another appraisal came in at $900.00.

What would you do?

We discovered a leak near the front of the house recently. RB Travis was contacted and in less than 24 hours Carl was dispatched to investigate and fix the issue. We were given a 3 hour timeframe for his arrival (which was adhered to), and were able to track his progress towards our job online. Once he arrived, he diagnosed and fixed the small, but complex leak within 3 hours. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.

Extremely over priced almost criminal and unprofessional in every way. I would recommend shopping around before thinking about spending time with this company. They will leave a mess after the job is done and spend more time on their phones by their truck than working and you will be billed heavily for their social time. Definitely not COVID conscious.

The pilot light on our water heater went out and would not stay lit so we called RB Travis for service. They were several hours late, and according to the receptionist/service coordinator it was because the repairperson ""was working on a toilet and ended up breaking the neighbors toilet which happens sometimes"". This should have been a red flag that prompted me to immediately cancel my appointment, but I was anxious to have it looked at soon. When the repairperson came out he tried to light the pilot 3 times and said it was broken and it would cost $1,300+ to fix, however he explained that they wont complete the repair since the water heater is 8 years old and they will only replace it for $3,100. Fortunately while considering this, we realized our earthquake safety gas valve had been accidentally tripped, and there was nothing at all wrong with the water heater. This seems like a simple solution that any professional repairperson should have been able to identify. When I called back to inform them of this, the receptionist promptly cut me off and hung up on me.

At best, RB Travis is an incompetent company. At worst, they are taking advantage of people. Either way, I recommend staying away from them.

I just had this company out to replace piping under the kitchen sink . Nice young man, very polite. He shared with me that the owner pays for them to go to school. I will always support a local business that is giving back to their community by helping people work. Thank you for being quick, efficient, and affordable.

We have been using R.B. TRAVIS Plumbing for many years now and will NEVER use anyone else. Each and every time the company out does itself. Their customer service is above par and so are their plumbers. I have referred numerous people to their company and everyone feels the same way I do. Don't make a mistake and call anyone else. They are the best and you will find now better. Helga Renfro and Ilona Barnes.

I've unfortunately had a lot of experience with plumbing companies. RB Travis is, without a doubt, the best yet. Daniel was on time, COVID compliant, professional, very knowledgeable, clean, and efficient. Everything was documented, including the unbelievably large pile of debris that was pulled from my pipes. He was also kind enough to leave my bathtub even cleaner than he found it. Overall, a very ethical, professionally run company. I'll definitely use their services again in the future and recommend them to others.

Worst experience ever! Simple kitchen sink clog. Plumber shows up (immediately before looking) says, ""you know we are $295 an hour right?"", and it's my day off, I don't even want to be working today"" proceeds to spend 2 hours banging around spilling on carpet screaming on the phone with dispatch ""girls"" yelling, ""I'll fkn quit, I don't even care about this job""...he doesn't fix the sink and proceeds to demand I pay $500 anyways bc he ""had to go to San Jose for another appointment"" I escalated to that same dispatch lady who then screamed saying that the fee is for the ""time"" not if they actually fix anything. My neighbors heard the entire interaction and burst through the door to check on me. This was the worst experience of my life. I'm mortified that I handed over that much money while on my hands and knees scrubbing my carpet from his dirty equipment, and my sink still clogged. What's even more mortifying is the ""manager"" Michelle heard him being inappropriate and still demanded I pay. The previous client had a bacon grease clog and his cable was greasey, he came into my home and put it down my sink, and it went the wrong way, got stuck, and he tried to rip it out. The dispatch girls were calling him to hurry up, he got frustrated, overwhelmed, and lost his shit. Meanwhile carpet stained, still a clog. Michelle the office manager kept saying I had the grease clog when it was previous client. Just awful.
