Extremely happy with service provided. Jim was able to fix our clogged sink this afternoon. He arrived when he said he would and an hour later, we were back in business. His Rates are reasonable and on a par with other plumbing companies.

After one false start with another plumber, I was happy to find god reviews for Quality Plumbing. I had a problem in my master bathroom for which the hot water handle needed to be repaired or replaced.
I told Jim I wanted to avoid ripping out any of the tile to make the repair, as doing so would be so costly to replace tiles etc. He told me the hot water faucet needed a new cartridge to solve the problem. He order the part and returned a couple of weeks later and put the new cartridge, tested it and told me it now worked and I could use it.


While working on the faucet, the shower head was knocked off and could not be repaired. It was old, I wasn't bothered by that. Jim told me what I needed to buy to replace it. As I have a second shower in the house and had a busy travel schedule through October, I simply put off shopping for a new shower head that I liked and simply used the other shower until this morning. Over the weekend I had run new caulking around the shower pan and as it was dry this morning, I screwed on the new shower head and was happy to finally be able to take a shower in the master bathroom again.

But today, Sunday, as tried to turn off the shower, the hot water handle and cartridge blew off like a projectile, hit me and very hot water pushed to the other side of the shower stall as it gushed over the bathroom floor and on to wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedroom. Panicked that the ceilings downstairs were about to be compromised. I'm not a young person, have arthritic hands and I had no idea what to do. I put a 911 call into the fire department who came out quickly and turned off my hot water at the water heater, leaving me with just cold water with family about to arrive from out-of-state for the Christmas holidays. The men from the fire department were terrific and even helped slop up the flood waters.

I called Jim at Quality Plumbing and asked him if he stood behind his work, describing what had just happened. Despite the fact that it was the first time I had turned on that faucet, Jim said he had no responsibility for the work as he had completed it six months ago and that he had told me the fix might not work. When I told him the faucet had never been used before this morning, he replied ""he didn't know that"", clearly suggesting I was not telling the truth. He had no concern for my problem(blaming it on the previous plumber) none for the frightening situation I had had been in nor offered any suggestions for some kind of quick fix such as capping the faucet so I could turn the hot water on again, just to get through the holidays. I'm always uncomfortable the tradesmen who blame problems on someone else.

Clearly Quality Plumbing is not the one to call when you are experiencing a serious situation.

I had a great experience with these guys. We had a pipe leaking pretty badly and it was after hours. I called a couple of places that were less than helpful. James took my call, and was very friendly. He was very fast in getting to my home and had the problem solved in less time than I'd imagined. He's a pro and great to work with. Very reasonable rates and a top notch plumber!

Jim was super efficient, polite, and competent. Called for a super clogged sink after trying to do it by myself all morning and he fit me in at 12. I was so excited! Professional and exceeded expectations.

We have used Jim in the past and have been generally satisfied. Recently, we had a much worse experience. I called him to change four toilet supply lines in our house. We were having problems with one but thought it would be prudent and proactive to update four of them I called him and explained what I wanted done. He said it should take about an hour to do all four which was fine since that was his minimum charge. I offered to text him a photo of the existing valve so he would know which parts would be needed. He said that wasn't necessary since he carried the parts on his truck. I was at work while he did the job. When I got home I found that he had changed one supply line and not the other three. When I called him to ask why he said that the other three were working fine. When I mentioned that I knew this but was being proactive, as we discussed, he said that also, he didn't have all the parts. I reminded him that I had offered to text him a photo of the valve ahead of time. He said he would come back out and change the other three lines, but would charge again for his time. I declined.

I met Jim of quality plumbing 15 years ago, I had just bought my 50 year old house. I saw his truck at my neighbors house and introduced myself. I had a few questions and thought he could give a quick estimate since he was here. Jim had worked on almost every house on my street, he gave me an intense history of all the work he had done on my house. Jim already knew the problems I was having due to the work the former owner didn't want to do. He came in my home and pointed out his business stickers on the garbage disposal and hot water heater. Jim was friendly, professional and just felt trustworthy. I've used quality plumbing for 15 years for root over growth, regular clean outs, laundry area concerns etc. I call him first for everything, chances are it's in his range. Jim has also helped me with roof moss that he noticed while clearing my tub from the roof. He does it all and at a great price!
