Because this company does Kings Point association servicing, they unfairly receive poor reviews from people who hope to get a new air conditioner rather than just service. We aren't on that plan, so we have to pay for their service. However, their service tech (Leo) came to our house today to fix what I thought was a bad outdoor fan motor. He found that it was just a bad capacitor, which was an honest, less-costly repair, and we're back up and running on an extremely hot day... and he came EARLY! Very nice and helpful people! Also, they had the right part for our Trade A/C, because they have been servicing Trane units for many years.

I called them at 8am on a Friday and they had a tech out to my home by 1pm on the same day. That's where the good ends. I had already called another company and he didn't work on my particular brand of AC unit because he did not stock parts for the brand AC and did not want to drive to the warehouse in Tampa. Fair enough! The techs with Quality diagnosed the problem and left within 30 min, stating the office would call with a price. They also started that the wharehouse for my brand AC was in Tampa and it would be Monday before they could get the part once a price was agreed upon 4pm, someone from the office called and stated that there was No warehouse in Tampa and had sat on hold for an hour with the manufacturer and no one could help him find the right part. He outright lied and told me there was no wherehouse local when one of his own techs and another company told me that there was. I went to YouTube and watched a video, ordered the part myself from amazon and fixed the problem. If he didn't want my business, he should have just said so from the beginning.

I called them to my 89 year old mother's house for an annual maintenance on her 12 year old Trane. She had not called them on several years. An elderly gentleman came out to perform the work. I followed him around to observe what he did. He started at the air handler and poked a couple holes in the insulated duct with his thermometer. He then open the cover and looked at the top of the evaporator coils and proclaimed them clean. He never looked at the front of the coils where the air enters. He then proceeded to the outside unit. He hooked up his gauges and said he would give it """"a shot"""" of R22. He got his bottle and without even purging the hose put maybe 2 ounces of R22 in. I asked about the condenser coil fins and he said they didn't need cleaning. He then wrote up the work order and which said he used two pounds of R22. I never said anything but was disgusted at this point. This service call was only $15 with a monthly $165 contract but in my opinion was not worth even that. I then went behind him and cleaned the evaporator coil fins with a proper coil brush. I had to vacuum all the crud that came out of that cleaning. I took some diluted dish soap and went outside and cleaned the condenser coil fins. Lots of crud also came out. I then opened the access cover to look at the capacitor. It was dated back 10 years and rusty and bulging. The hard start 5-2-1 was also completely rusty. I also installed a new USA made capacitor and 5-2-1 kit. This 12 year old Trane is now working great. I never told the old timer, (actually probably my own age but a smoker) I was an HVAC tech. I just like to see what caliber of company/person I'm dealing with. Maintenance contract is cancelled and we are done with this company.

I am actually ashamed that I even have to give this place a star... They did not do a good job at all. u_u The problem was NOT fixed, the repair guy they sent out had a major attitude problem about everything, he acted like he didn't want to be here and hated his job or something, he was VERY rude and disrespectful toward me. It was really upsetting. Very unprofessional! I recommend going anywhere else but here for your repairs. I promise this is a completely honest review based on my own experience with them. If you hire them, you will regret it. Don't do it. You're actually better off just fixing it yourself, like I did after they left. What a waste of time and money!

My AC unit stopped cooling; was under a service contract with another company so I felt obligated to call them; it took 2 weeks (that's right 2 weeks no AC!) to get a replacement coil and repair done; 30 days later; no cool air! I called again; couldn't get service for 2 to 3 days for an """"analysis"""". Sooo being fed up I decided to try a local company. I contacted Quality Complete Home Services. They sent a technician out SAME DAY! They diagnosed, corrected/fixed an issue the other company overlooked and omitted in about 20 minutes! QCHS tech was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. I've lived in the Sun City area for 6.5 years and because I used a different company up in Riverview for 13 years; I was not aware of what good service and fair pricing looked like until I tried QCHS! I think you should too. I'm a very happy customer!
