Jean was great. This was my first time hiring a plumber and I didn't know anything about how to address my running toilet. Other companies quoted me $350-$450 and said they would have to order parts. Jean came in, saw the issue was caused by something minor, and fixed it instantly. He also didn't even charge me for his time, only a service charge for coming. Great customer service, responsive, and showed up on time. I would highly recommend and call again.

When we moved into our house a few years ago, we knew there was an issue with roots growing into the sewage line. We have had the line snaked about once per year since then and, while the line has always been properly cleared each time, we had never truly been happy with the service that we'd received. There always seemed to be extra expenses added on after the initial quote and each visit was a little more expensive than the last. With an interaction that was always focused on squeezing me for as much money as possible, rather than on the issue at hand, it was hard to trust anything that was being said.

This time, we decided to try someone other than the big name Roto-Rooter types and were so happy to have stumbled across Jean at QL Drain Cleaning! Jean is knowledgeable, trustworthy and fair--everything you can hope for when dealing with plumbing issues. Jean arrived on time (early actually) and gave an hourly rate, while clearly doing everything he could to complete the work within that first hour. He knew what he was doing and quickly fixed our issue, then had us check every drain in the house. When one of the drains was still not clearing properly, he came in, explained why the drain was still clogged, despite fixing the sewage line and then promptly fixed the issue. The work was done within the first hour and we were not squeezed for any additional expenses. In fact, Jean offered us a discount for being a first time customer!

It was seriously such a great experience with QL Drain Cleaning. We will be using them for all of our drain cleaning issues, from now on. I'm so glad to have found someone that we can trust!

I needed a replacement Delta cartridge for shower handle. Jean came on time, diagnosed the problem, but found that the old handle had deteriorated to such a point that I needed a new trim kit as well as a new cartridge. I purchased this on Amazon and he came back the next day to install it. Unfortunately, the new cartridge was defective, and he had to come back a third time to replace seals on the cartridge. He only charged me for one trip, even though he came three times to the house. The job was done well, and my shower works now.

Sometimes you are fortunate enough to stumble across a wonderful efficient affordable professional. QL Drain Cleaning is that company. I discovered a leak in a bathroom sink drain. I tried to fix it and it went beyond my tools and expertise. They were able to come same day with parts. Wonderful communication throughout as they asked for pictures and made suggestions before they arrived. They worked fast and made no mess. I could not have asked for a better experience on every level. I would highly recommend for basic plumbing and drain cleaning.

Less than a week after we moved into our newly-purchased home, we had a plumbing issue which took 2 of our 3 bathrooms out of commission...and for a large family, that's a non-starter.

The first company we called couldn't resolve the issue (after we spent $3200 having the new clean out they recommended installed!) and tried to convince us we needed to replace all the under-house sewer lines for another $14K.

For a second opinion, and because our third bathroom started backing up, we contacted QL.

The owner/technician spent 5 hours (and broke 2 snake cables) clearing the blockages in all 3 bathrooms AND making sure all the drains were flowing freely; he also replaced the wax toilet seals and inspected all the tank lines to make sure we weren't going to run into more problems in the future.

He shared with us that the sewer laterals had been mostly dry, causing things to back up on all the drains; he also found some cleaning wipes that had at some point been flushed which caused the problem with the first 2 bathrooms.

He was respectful of our time and property, and he didn't give up until the problem was fully resolved to our immense relief.

We cannot recommend QL Drain Cleaning more highly.

I recently moved to a new house, only to have two out of three bathrooms out of commission within two weeks due to clogged drains. I posted a plumbing job on yelp and got eight responses. All but one plumber wanted to come by to review the situation before giving me a flat rate estimate. The only one that didn't--QL Plumbing--simply said that they charge $180/hr.

I hired one of the big companies to do the job. They told us that it would require them to put in a clean-out and to snake our drains from there. A week and a half later I had two big holes in the front yard - one in the concrete walkway - and I still had two nonfunctional bathrooms. By this time the big company was telling us that we had cast-iron pipes that run in 90° angles and that we needed to replace our plumbing under the toilets, a $14k job. They told us that alternatively they could attempt to remove the toilets and snake from there but they would need a different piece of equipment. They charged us over $2000 for the work done to date.

Frustrated and feeling a distinct loss of trust, I called a couple of other plumbers from the Yelp list. Jean of QL Plumbing came out to take a look. Within minutes Jean told us that we didn't need new pipes and that he could snake the drains from the toilets.
He came out next day and did just that. He was highly professional, friendly and left the bathrooms clean. At $180/hr, Jean charged us a fraction of the larger company's estimate for further work. Our plumbing works again!

I cannot recommend Jean and QL Plumbing highly enough.
