Sadly I didn't listen to the previous reviews. This company overcharges and does horrible work. I paid $1400 to have a gas line and kitchen sink put in. They both leaked. After standing me up twice, 4 kitchen floods and no oven for almost two weeks they came out, angry. I had already hired a handyman to fix both problems for half of what I paid them, I asked to be reimbursed for that expense and they called me a liar and told me to call someone else next time. I had to threaten to sue to get them to agree to send me a check. Worst customer service I have ever had in ANY industry. Please do yourself a favor and call another plumber

We are selling our home and needed some plumbing issues fixed. Jason came out, and fixed our jetted tub and restored full water pressure to the upstairs bathroom sink...fast, friendly and very reccomendable.

Beware Purdy Plumbing! Maybe the worst contractor I've ever dealt with, and I'm 58 and have hired countless contractors. Our tub wasn't holding water - the trip lever wasn't working - so we called Purdy Plumbing. What a mistake! Their first trip was okay - Jason assessed the problem, improved water flow, said he needed to return, and billed me $186, which I paid. Next day the shower/tub started leaking and I called the office about this new problem. Jason showed up for 2nd visit, said the leak wasn't their fault at all and refused to work on the main problem I called them in the first place (the broken trip lever/tub not holding water). Jason then walked off the job, and said I could ""find another plumber"". I then called the office to relay what happened and Lori told me he hadn't wanted to come (despite my appointment that day) as his kid had a ballgame he wanted to attend instead. Lori was surprised he walked off the job and promised to get back to me. Ten minutes later, the owner of Purdy Plumbing, Doug, called me back and it was clear he didn't have all the facts. That didn't stop him from defending his plumber walking off the job, amazingly calling me ""a punk"" and angrily inviting me to meet him so we could fight to settle the issue. Yes, he called me out and threatened to beat me up! What is this - middle school?? I got off the phone quickly - good idea when talking with someone with deep anger issues - and because he had threatened me my wife urged me to call Pierce County Sheriff's department, which I did. I tried Purdy Plumbing because most of the reviews on Angie's were good - I cannot relay just how bad, and potentially dangerous, they were to us.

Update to the above: I called Anewhere Plumbing, Adam fixed the problem quickly and efficiently, and charged me less than Purdy had charged. I was alarmed to hear that the solution Purdy had recommended - going through the crawlspace below the tub to fix the drain - was completely unnecessary. I'm now thinking that Purdy Plumbing (Jason) is either incompetent or was trying to rip me off.

Omg, just let go of my ankles.totally bent over by Purdy Plumbing. Bought stuff at Home Depot. Told by PP that they have to use their supplies at a higher price. $139 hour labor with a 3hour minimum. Took him little over hour. Replaced my perfectly fine expansion tank for new one. There shop is 20 mins away,still had to pay a travel fee and $5 gas charge. Pay with credit card so 3% change for that $30. $450 heater.out the door almost $1100. Wow what a racket .Criminal, how do they sleep at night. Kt, all the way down in Lakebay. Ass wipes

I called last Friday (12/29) to have someone come out & fix our toilet. The owner set up an appointment for 3:00 that day. She was nice enough to call & let us know that he wasn't going to make it due to the job he was on was taking longer than expected. OK I can understand that & we set up appointment for 8:30 today (01/02).
Due to our schedule that's a bit early for us but we set our alarm for 8:15. He called twice at 8 but we didn't answer. As soon as I got his message at 8:15 I called him back but he informed me that he was already at another job & wouldn't be available for a couple of hours. Which didn't work for us because we had to leave for work shortly after.
When I called her to tell her I wouldn't be rescheduling and that I wasn't happy about the situation, I was informed that it wasn't the company's fault that I misunderstood. That their hours are from 8 - 5 so I should've known it was 8, despite the fact that she specifically said 8:30. I even repeated 8:30 to which she confirmed to me was correct.
I understand the reason she gave me was because if there is no answer - we may not have been at home but as I told her there could be a million reasons why someone doesn't answer - not just because they aren't home.
I'm sure that she'll respond with her excuses as I've seen with the other bad reviews, but this is just bad customer service (I worked over 30 years in customer service so I think I would know) plain & simple.

Called this morning for a faucet install and for a few other leaks, techs came out a few hours later. I now have a beautiful new faucet! Nice guys. Would recommend.

RE: outdoor hose bib leaking / water-well psi

When trying to fix my outdoor leaking hose bib, they turned my water-well psi up because they said I needed more water pressure to stop my hose bibs from leaking. He said he didn't work on well-systems, but he worked on it anyway and turned up the psi. I hired a water-well company to come out afterward and they said the plumber turned up the psi way over what it's supposed to be - could have been damaging if I didn't get the water-well guy right out to do it right. Asked the plumber for a partial refund for the time he worked on the water-well psi since he admittedly didn't know how to work on well-systems and turned it up too high, but the company refused. They also charged a fuel charge (I'm only 13 miles from the business) - that was not disclosed when I initially called and asked about all of the pricing.

When I called I was told by Lori that it would be $119 for first hour and fees may be added on for extra materials and time after that
I was billed $119 for 45 mins and $30 for another qtr Hour. I asked Jason, the plumber about this and he said "" call Lori"".
He as very nice , quick and efficient. However, I don't like that they don't wear shoe covers in my house.
Be aware of u use them and get the quotes in writing or make sure you get a definite verbal.


The job was well done and the plumber was professional and nice. I was just a bit thrown off by the extra 15 minutes to pay. It wasn't mentioned and Initially, it may have been an oversite. At the time it may not have made any difference.

Outstanding and Timely Service!
They were professional and courteous. We called Purdy Plumbing January 12, 2016 at 4:30pm about repairs we needed. They said they would try to have someone come out the next day, January 13th, in the afternoon. They showed up at noon January 13th. They fixed the problem with our kitchen sink within an hour. We highly recommend them.
