I have written a review on E Puopolo and Son in the past and I so regret my words. It was a negative review but I return with nothing but positive words about this company! I have such regrets about my previous review. These guys saved my life recently. I was away and it was so cold that my pipes froze and water leaked all over my basement. The heat and hot water needed to be turned off during this recent cold snap. My daughter was home with no heat or hot water! They came to our rescue! They came (even after my negative review) and fixed everything. It was a disaster and they fixed the burst pipes, cleaned up the flooding, and and repaired all the problems. It was not even as expensive as I would have imagined it would be! I feel very grateful to them and very apologetic for my previous comments. I hope they know how appreciative I am! Thank you E Puopolo and Son!!! They saved our home!

I needed a Washer/Dryer replaced, and E. Puopolo could not do it (sadly, because this company has provided excellent service in the past). But Stephen responded immediately, and he helped me find another solution. This is a very reliable & respectful team and business, and a pleasure to interact with. Also - in this day and age when we could all use a bit more kindness in our days? Yup - i found it today w/this interaction.

Today I made an appointment and they never showed up. They have serviced me for a number of years and they have mostly done an okay job. However, they once put a new seal on the toilet and it broke and the toilet flooded into the ceiling. So at this time I don't have very high ratings to give them and I will be finding another plumber. They were also very abrupt and one could say rude on the phone.

A guy named Steve contacted me and told me that he would come at 9am today to meet me at the work site. I took time off from work and got there at 8:50 and had waited for 45min. He didn't show up. I called a few times and left voicemail. For the whole day no one got back to me :(. Bad experience. Will avoid them in future.

I cannot praise Puopolo enough for their perseverance and skill.

However, my story begins with another well-known local plumbing company that had previously done good work for me (and other people in my building). In this case, I reported a leak in my kitchen sink. A plumber came and determined that because of the sink design, I would likely need a replacement. He advised me that I would soon get a call back. After one week, I called them and got no response. This continued for more than another week with my phone messages and emails being totally ignored. In other words, I never heard from them again.

That led me to call Puopolo, who sent someone over the same afternoon. He confirmed the first diagnosis and assured me that I would hear back. It took quite an effort on their part to find a suitable replacement, but they were successful. And they communicated with me throughout! Ultimately, two plumbers arrived, and worked diligently and very hard to install the new sink, which has had no problems since.

Consider this an unqualified recommendation!

I cannot say enough outstanding things about Puopolo and sons! This crew works so hard -- it is really impressive. One can call them at 6 AM in the morning-- there is ALWAYS somebody answering the phone. Not only that, they take the emergency ""no heat"" phone calls very seriously and call you back in 10 mins whether it is 10 PM on a weekend.... We live in a house from 1800s and thanks to this crew that whenever something else decides to break this crew is here on time, they are all very knowledgeable. We got their help for our old steam heating system and main sewer line work and their quotes were very reasonable. We thank John, Steve and all others for their hard work and recommend them strongly without any reservations!

Had a call from my tenant on the first cold days of late autumn that the heat wasn't coming on. Its an old-school steam boiler. Temperatures plummeting, I called three places, all which were referred to me by other happy customers. Of those three, only Puopolo responded the same day (one never responded and the 3rd called back many days later) and sent someone out who seemed really young but turned out to be smart and able to figure out what was a tricky and rather unusual problem! He was SO good and thorough, nice, professional, came out on a holiday weekend Sunday, I would happily recommend! I am grateful to my real estate agent friend who made the recommendation and said ""they may not be super cheap but they are reliable and know what they're doing""
