Purchased a motor electrical part for my pump motor. Had priced purchasing on- line but decided to buy local... unfortunately paid about DOUBLE for the component.. to make matters worse the component was not needed so I tried to return and he REFUSED to refund even after I purchased a $300 new pump motor.. this in NOT good customer service and I would recommend finding another source .... I will not be returning after this treatment.. be advised!

I cant say enough about this business! I had a pool pump that was not working and was a real head scratcher. I had replaced a capacitor, got the motor running fine, assembled everything for a """"no start, no click, whine, hum, nothing"""". I was ready to just bite the bullet and write the check. Calling Bob (on a SATURDAY, no less!) he said, """"bring it in here, lets take a look at it"""", which I I excitedly did. Arriving, I explained everything, Bob gave me a complete education on my pump, how old it was ('05) and explained that it had been discontinued the same year. Bob took the time to educate me further on the various options I had but offered to bench test the unit I had brought in on Monday (Bob was very close to closing time) while I contemplated my options for a new unit. I was so pleased with this alone, I left smiling. It couldn't have been more than 5 minutes after leaving that Bob called me and said, """"I got your pump running like a champ here""""... Bob had taken it upon himself to immediately bench test the unit, found there was a loose connection, fixed it, waited for me to return, brought me back to his bench where the pump was """"running like a champ""""! I would have been happy to pay for his expertise and quick fix but Bob felt this was so easy, he refused to take anything!! Florida can sometimes be a very sunny place for some very shady business. This is the polar opposite to this! Bob could have very easily charged me a service fee, tried to sell me another unit based on this one being so old, he could have easily bench tested it, had a non-op, and left it at that and sold be another unit altogether. But he didn't! This is by far one of the finest examples of integrity I have experienced in many years. I strongly recommend Pumps Plus and will NEVER see a need to go anywhere else for anything regarding pumps and or pump service!!!!

This is an unsolicited review for company Pumps Plus McGregor Electric Motors. I found this company on Yelp and was a little apprehensive over just seeing one review. No more. I'm glad I got George's business card. Great service. Quick response. Called and asked for someone to come and assess my problem. Jerry called back within 30 minutes. George arrived shortly to assess and fix my problem. They take cash, check or credit. Polite and friendly. May need more work done at a later date, but now I KNOW WHO I WILL CALL!!! I had a water pump motor fail. I took it into Pumps Plus to have it checked out. It was so rusted inside they couldn't make repairs. The installed a new motor at a fair price. Work was done in a timely manner. I am very pleased and will use them again.

You walk in Bobs' shop and your immediately surrounded by pool pumps of any kind and a million different replacement parts. The pumps are new and even reconditioned rebuilt ones at a lower price. I have been to pool places and they never have the parts I need for repair. If your looking for an owner that actually tries to help you like an old time hardware store that isn't just looking for the quick sale this place is for you !
