Scott S.One of our toilets kept backing up. Turns out it was because it ran, via a broken pipe, into a septic tank we were never told about when we bought the house. Surprise!
The PSS crew was fantastic. They (a) fixed/replaced the broken pipe, (b) cleaned out and decommissioned the septic tank and (c) got everything hooked into the public sewer with the rest of the house. They took care of all of the town permitting and inspections. They showed up exactly when they said they would. They finished the project on time (3 days) and on budget. After tearing up a piece of our new driveway to get to the pipes, they repaved before they left. Heck, while waiting for the town inspector, the team killed time by helping to shovel some of the snow that had fallen that morning.
Something like a hidden septic tank is the stuff of home ownership nightmares. These guys took care of the whole mess quickly and professionally. I would immediately recommend them to anybody else who finds a mystery septic tank in their yard.
Over priced - not worth it. Don't fall into to the camera SCAM! ! Inspection camera does not work under water. Ask questions!!
Paul B.Sewer main backed up in our house. James came with the reel, got the sewer line to drain again. They did the camera and noticed a bunch of roots and couldn't get the camera past ~60'. For reference, An additional ~10' goes to the street. Then they send proposal to completely replace our entire sewer main up to the sidewalk, without being able to see past the point which the camera couldn't pass. Their upside: the remaining portion of the pipe they couldn't see, would double up the proposal. Not to mention we would incur PSE&G costs to hold the telephone pole that runs near the line, excavation costs, and costs to replace 30' of concrete walkway/driveway that runs more than half of the proposed replaced section.
The main backs up AGAIN, less than 10 days later. I call, asking if they guarantee their work, and he says we'd have to pay AGAIN, even after checking with his manager!!! What exactly did I pay for in the first place? You clearing the clog, but not remedying the area that caused the clog? He said he couldn't get the largest bit because of the turns from where he was snaking. Later we learn from another plumber, it was definitely fine to do this. More on this later.
Long and short, we called another sewer service who got all the way to the center of the street with the ""electric eel"" method. He pulled out the roots and got past the 60' point. I understand now, in the industry, young ""technicians"" are really sales reps who can receive upwards of 10% commission from any big jobs they land. I'm a salesman, you tried to sell me something I didn't need, didn't give me value for the service I paid for, you didn't back up your work, bottom line you didn't listen to your customers needs.
I couldn't be more dissatisfied with this service, which is apparently contracted out, or a subsidiary of Bogush Inc.
