Company Overview

John B. DiFrancesco and his wife Wadie C. DiFrancesco came in Dallas post World War II, in the early 1950s. John learned the trade from his dad, the late Joseph M. DiFrancesco, Sr., who was an builder, licensed master plumber, and licensed master electrician in the state of New York. The company of Public Service Plumbers, Inc. were opened in the year 1959 after John B. DiFrancesco, a certified plumber in Texas since 1950, dedicated nine years honing his skills in the Park Cities areas. Inheriting the family legacy, Joseph M. DiFrancesco, III, a alumnus of the University of Texas at Dallas and a licensed master plumber since 1981, joined the company in the early 1980s. We are now a third-gen plumbing family and have been providing the Dallas area with superior customer service for greater than 50 years.

Very satisfied. They came out immediately, we're thorough and solved my hot water issue quickly. It requires a replacement, but they were able to do a patch to buy me a few days so I could price check. Called three other companies and their price was the best. Great price and service. 100% satisfied.

They did not show up to the appointment, instead they called to find out the model of my water pump so that they can order a new one. They didn't even diagnose it to see if it needed to replaced. I called 2 more times asking about the new water pump and they couldn't give me an answer. Haven't heard back from them. I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and they spent 1 hour and adjusted the pump and it works great now. Not a reliable company

I needed to get a new dishwasher installed in an older house and there were multiple issues. Troy and Roman came out and worked their way through step by step. They were so patient and helpful and Troy was determined to make sure that everything was installed properly and fit together well. He moved the original shut off valve which was under the old dishwasher and closed up a hole in the floor. There was was an old cast iron pipe protruding from the wall which didn't allow the dishwasher to be set all the way into the space. But everything is done, the dishwasher fits beautifully and I'm very happy with their hard work and commitment to doing the job right. I definitely recommend them.

The worst. Lied about pricing, lied about time on the job. (I have a doorman who logs time in and out). Brought no parts when I explained in detail each issue! 170.00 an hour to get them. They will never work in my properties again.

Also indicated they will issue refund based in overcharges. They have not.

I've used Public Service Plumbers several times over the years. They've done excellent work. They are very expensive (expect to pay almost double), but there are so many shady contractors out there that I've learned to pay more for good ones.

Pros: Good work, they always solve the problem, can get them out on short notice, after hours service

Cons: Expensive, they've showed up late on more than occasion, some plumbers were nice - others were a little rude, they insist on having a plumber and a "helper" on every job, so you're paying for 2 people

Overall I would not hesitate to use them again.

Showed up next day, exactly when the person who called me indicated he would. Fixed both minor repairs in very little time and charged me half of what was quoted by another company (a company that was also 2 hours late to their appt with me). Great job!

Called to fix a clogged tub drain. I was told I need to replace parts and they would need to cut through the outside wall. Called a different plumber for a second opinion. He was there 10 minutes and fixed the clog. No extra parts or extra work, simply cleared the drain.

We had a leak from a pipe under our pier and beam house. We learned about it because our water bill went up $30 in one month and after calling the water dept. to check they said there was a leak of a gallon every 8 minutes on our property. We could hear water flowing only after we opened up the crawl space and stuck our head down into the space. We called several companies on a Friday that were recommended but Public Service Plumbers agreed to send someone out that day and early enough so they would have time to fix any problem before the end of the day. Took about 2 1/2 hours for 2 guys for $500. Josh was the plumber and both men were polite, clean, took pictures of the problem, and guaranteed their work.

Boyd came out, worked professionally through my tankless heater issue and fixed the problem. Went on lunch while glue had to dry, not to bill me time to wait around. Very happy with his work.
