Company Overview

The founders came in Dallas post World War II, in 1950. John mastered the craft from his parent, the late Joseph M. DiFrancesco, Sr., who was an builder, licensed master plumber, and certified master electrician in New York. The company of Public Service Plumbers, Inc. were opened in the late 1950s after John B. DiFrancesco, a licensed plumber in Texas since the start of his career, spent nine years refining his craft in the Park Cities areas. Continuing the family business, Joseph M. DiFrancesco, III, a degree holder of the University of Texas at Dallas and a qualified master plumber since 1981, became part of the business in the year 1983. We are now a third-generation plumbing business and have been providing the DFW area with superior customer service for greater than half a century.

I've used Public Service Plumbers several times over the years. They've done excellent work. They are very expensive (expect to pay almost double), but there are so many shady contractors out there that I've learned to pay more for good ones.

Pros: Good work, they always solve the problem, can get them out on short notice, after hours service

Cons: Expensive, they've showed up late on more than occasion, some plumbers were nice - others were a little rude, they insist on having a plumber and a "helper" on every job, so you're paying for 2 people

Overall I would not hesitate to use them again.

Showed up next day, exactly when the person who called me indicated he would. Fixed both minor repairs in very little time and charged me half of what was quoted by another company (a company that was also 2 hours late to their appt with me). Great job!

Called to fix a clogged tub drain. I was told I need to replace parts and they would need to cut through the outside wall. Called a different plumber for a second opinion. He was there 10 minutes and fixed the clog. No extra parts or extra work, simply cleared the drain.

We had a leak from a pipe under our pier and beam house. We learned about it because our water bill went up $30 in one month and after calling the water dept. to check they said there was a leak of a gallon every 8 minutes on our property. We could hear water flowing only after we opened up the crawl space and stuck our head down into the space. We called several companies on a Friday that were recommended but Public Service Plumbers agreed to send someone out that day and early enough so they would have time to fix any problem before the end of the day. Took about 2 1/2 hours for 2 guys for $500. Josh was the plumber and both men were polite, clean, took pictures of the problem, and guaranteed their work.

Boyd came out, worked professionally through my tankless heater issue and fixed the problem. Went on lunch while glue had to dry, not to bill me time to wait around. Very happy with his work.

Extremely pleased with service provided. Boyd was third plumber to check on my tankless water heater and the first to finally figure out what the problem and solution needed. He also fixed a leaky faucet, first rate service. I highly recommend Public Service Plumbers

Very overpriced took too many guys to do one thing, unprofessional and rude. Don't recommend using guys.

i called Public Service Plumbers for an emergency hot water heater replacement. They were able to get someone out right away, assess the situation, stop the leaking and had a new system installed by that evening. the guys they sent over were very nice. my wife was comfortable being home alone with them. they cleaned up their mess when they left. It is nice to know there is someone to call when i am out of town and need some plumbing repairs done! i called 2 other companies after the the job was done to check the price. they were right in line with one and cheaper than the other. i looked up the hot water tank they installed and it is a very high quality unit.
