I thought sharing my experience with Pruzansky Plumbing might be helpful to people on this site and may help you avoid the unpleasant experiences I endured.
August 8th - scheduled an appointment with PP to fix a duct-work condensation problem that was leaking from the ceiling. The technician advised that he couldn't do the work at this time. But explained that they would need to break through walls and ceiling to identify where the leaks were and replace the existing insulation.
He explained that they would not be responsible for replacing sheetrock or repairing the holes made during the repair of the leaks. This seemed to be a reasonable approach.
After he left I called the office to schedule an appointment for the work to be done the week of August 20th. While making this call to PP, Richard the head of the A/C part of PP answered the phone and advised they were working on a lot of duct-work condensation problems.
August 13th - I received a call from PP advising that they would need to reschedule our appointment, due to the heat wave, to September 5th.
September 5th - The original technician arrived on September 5th to advise that the couldn't make the holes in the walls and that I would need to find someone to do that part of the job. When I asked him where we would need to make the holes he was unclear and uncertain about exactly where the holes should be made.
When I asked him what we would do after the holes were made and they were here fixing the ductwork, and needed to access another wall that didn't have an access point, he advised that they would make the hole themselves.
I asked the technician for Richard to call me to discuss this change to the work that PP would do and why no one advised me before our
appointment.
September 11th - Richard has still not called me
My problems with PP are:
1. So far I've lost 2 days of work without any progress on the leak
2. I paid $197 for them tell me that I would need to pay a lot more to fix the problem
3. Then PP reschedules the appointment to fix the leak
4. Then PP changes the work they will do, off-loading the responsibility of finding another contractor to make the holes in walls and or ceilings on the day of the appointment
5. The technician was not confident, clear and or about where the holes should be made before they could return to perform the work.
6. Richard didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to call me to discuss the changes or my concerns
Boy, did I pick the wrong service organization.......
Roby H.Not only is this company negligent but unethical as well. I purchased a $20K boiler from them 4 years ago and not only has the boiler broken down 9 times, leaving 50 families without hot water but they refused to service it because we had to have another company work on it when it broke down last winter and they weren't available. They even tried to sell us a new one only 2 years after they sold and installed the current one. I tried and tried to get these guys to help but they had no interest in backing their work or their product. Apparently integrity isn't a family trait. You're only as good as your weakest link and the chain for this company is broken.
Chloe K.I called because my AC unit was leaking and they sent a guy out within the hour. The guy was professional and knew what he was doing; he was able to resolve my issue in about an hour. Afterwards he patiently explained to me what he did, why this situation occurred, and provided preventative measures going forward. I was really happy with the service and response time and would use them again.
Christine P.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL! They will promise you one price and later on bill you DOUBLE without a valid explanation as to you. The plumbers came to the house to fix a sewage problem only to screw up the first job and had to come back again. It was clearly their fault for not fixing up the pipes the first time around and complained that they had to do DOUBLE the work when their mistake was the reason why for coming back. Unless you want excuse after excuse, expensive upcharges, and an unprofessional team then by all means book them.
Bait in switch company that clearly has a shady history of doing business. They never send the same technician out so the right hand doesn't know what the left did, they overcharge, leave things out of their notes conveniently - I would never use this company again or recommend their services.
Ken L.Their prices are way too high and they won't ever give us a quote. Avoid, go to other plumbing services. There are tons out there.
I used this plumber and not only Rose the office manager was disrespectful. Stan refused to get on the phone with me he charged me $1200.00 for a job that not only wasn't done he broke 1 of the pipes in the first floor apartment while he was working on the 2nd floor apartment. which is still leaking this has been going on for at least 2 months, he left my basement toilet uncapped which made the basement and the first floor apartment smell like feces and urine and I had a 2 year old living there he is not concerned about his work which he farms out to other plumbers he is only interested in the money whether the job is done or not he made me wait 2 weeks with the basement toilet spewing feces and urine and he was gonna charge me between 500-1000 to fix it. I called EZ Flow plumbing and he had it fixed in 2 hours for only $325.00 I suggest you dont use Pruzansky plumbing
Alan V.Excellent service. Pro job. Courteous technicians. Got the job done with a good attitude. Don't need more than that.
They are courteous and professional. Took care of my plumbing issue quickly. Would definitely recommend.
Many thanks to Mitch Liebowitz and Steven Pruzansky for a job well done. Thanks to Lee and OB who labored during the day to get the work done. They are professional and personable.
