WOW! Upstairs toilet clogged, overflowed for hours, son came home and found water rushing through ceiling fixtures, called Bob and he responded ASAP! Diagnosed problem, gave some tips for starting the recovery process and walked away without charging a dime!!

Had a toilet overflow while it was unattended. I cleaned up the mess and was unable to figure out the problem given the layout of my pipes. I called Bob who answered on the second ring. I briefly explained the problem and he told me he could be out the next morning early. He also gave me suggestions to prevent further damage until he could arrive (it had overflowed a second time when I ran the towels through the laundry from the first overflow). Bob arrived on time, and deduced the problem. He removed the toilet and snaked the clog, reseated the toilet, and all is right with the world again. I will be using Bob again for any plumbing needs as he obviously knew what he was doing and was able to explain it to me as well

Bob arrived on time and on the phone. My impression when we made this appointment was that he understood the problem and was coming to do the work. He didn't understand the problem and he wasn't coming to do the work. I had explained to him on the phone that there was an issue in the pool filling system and with the house shut off. But once he was here he said he doesn't do work on pools. He also took another call in the middle of our very short visit where he gave a diagnosis on a problem water heater. He looks and acts very rushed, maybe takes all calls and decides whether he'll do the work when he gets there. Apparently the water heater problem of the interrupting caller was a problem that he could and would fix because he gave them a same day appointment time and left. He explained his declining the work at my house with ""well, stuff happens!"" I'd call this a total fail except that he did show up on time, but he doesn't listen too well and probably cherry picks his work for max profit on purchase on parts--like broken water heaters.

When I needed the help of a professionally licensed plumber, I went to the Internet to research the company and person I wanted to: (1) schedule my job for a time that worked for both of us, (2) arrive during the window we scheduled, (3) evaluate the scope of my plumbing problem, (4) inform me what the job required to successfully resolve the problem, and (5) invoice me a price that was reasonable. These are not unreasonable expectations.

When Bob arrived the next day as scheduled, he inspected the leaking gate valve to the line that provided water to my house. He informed me that the leak appeared to be originating from at the valve. Bob promptly placed his crescent wrench on the valve and proceeded to tighten it. The leak stopped.

Simple? Well, I've had a few bad experiences with water leaks in the past and did not want to either compound the problem I saw with the gate valve by attempting to fix it myself, or waste another day taking off from work to reschedule the repair. Rather, I decided to let the professional evaluate the problem and fix it the first time around.

Bob was that professional. He was courteous, and even took the time to explain what additional work would be required if the source of the leak was located behind the valve.

What happened next was unexpected--Bob said he would not charge me for his trip or time. Surprised but still very grateful that my repair was satisfactorily complete, I replied, I want to give you something for your time. I gave him $20 and a handshake.

I have Bob's business card. If I need the help of another professionally licensed plumber, I'll reaching for that same business card. Thank you, Bob!

I called on a Sunday to get a water heater installed and Bob showed up that same day to do the job. Rates were very reasonable. When I noticed a leak a week later, again he came the same day I called and replaced the flex pipe at no charge. Reasonable rates and they stand behind their work. Thanks Bob!

Called Prudent Plumbing to work on a leaking pressure regulator in my garage. Bob showed up right on time. After a quick look over of the leak, he knew immediately what part was needed and even the diameter of the pipe without having to measure it. He was very prompt and explained the work clearly before he began. I stayed with him in the garage and we chatted while he worked on the repair. He didn't mind that I asked him other plumbing related questions while he went to work. He carries himself in a professional manner and is a pleasant individual to talk to. Some years ago my wife and I completed a kitchen remodel that included the installation of stainless steel Grohe faucets. Looks great and has been very reliable. A leak in the faucet hose led my wife to order online. Swapping out hoses shouldn't be that difficult and it wasn't except for the leak that we could not fix. My attempts to tighten the hoses led to a much greater leak than what we started with. The Grohe faucet we have include four hoses connected at the head assembly that I didn't want to take a chance with. I needed someone that knew what they were doing. I looked at the reviews and went with Bob on the basis of both his reviews and his location. He said he would arrive at 8am and he did, then spent an hour fixing the leak and setting one other hose to the dish washer according to standard practice. We paid the standard home visit charge and are very happy to no longer have the leak. Before opening his business Bob worked on residential home construction plumbing. He said, ""I know what's behind the walls."" That was very evident as was his expertise with Grohe faucets, which Bob said he is not a fan of because parts can be a problem. That being the case we are especially happy that he was able to fix the leak without any new parts being required. Thanks Bob!

Bob is a one man band and I've used him on a variety off issues over the past two years, from helping diagnose where the leakage was happening with an aging, outdoor faucet/drainage area to fixing drains, faucets, and toilets inside the house. He really does work 7 to 7 and other than the rare occasions when he takes vacation or gets backed up with service calls, he almost always shows up within a couple of hours of me calling him. And after two times coming out to check a toilet that was backing up, the 3rd time he came and snaked it for free to finally clear whatever was several feet down in the pipes. He didn't have to do that for free, but it was much appreciated and we'll continue to give him our business in the future.
