I used the same plumber for 30 years before moving to Marco Island. We had Prouts Plumbing in this morning. They did a long list of repairs and a few redos of previous projects done by the 3 other plumbers we used here the past 7 years. The plumber was super efficient, very competent and knowledgeable, and nice too. They will be our go to plumbers going forward.

Called for two days trying to schedule an appointment; only """"emergency services"""" answered. On July 4 I was told they were off for the holiday.....understandable! On July 5 I was told by emergency services person that """"she's on vacation"""" So I asked if the business is closed until """"she"""" returns. The person on the phone got abruptly rude and then dumped the call into a music holding pattern where I waited for him to pick up again with an alternative option for my situation and then I gave up after waiting with no response back. Incredibly unprofessional experience.

Great job! They showed up on time and replaced an old 3 knob shower diverter with a modern single one. He was in and out in 2.5 hours and clean up all the mess. Price as quoted overall an excellent job. We will recommend them to friends and use them again. Cheers

Prout's replaced a water heater for me in 2015. The installation couldn't have gone better - I was thoroughly pleased. BUT, I sold my condo last week and during the process, my attorney came to learn that the work permit with the city had never been closed. The Prout's office was completely unresponsive, after several calls. I finally had to go to the Marco Island Building Department and pay the inspection fee out of my own pocket in order to get the permit closed. Seven years later! If you use Prout's, make certain that they close the permit. The woman at the city told me that they have 130 open permits from 2015.

For the past five years, I've called Prout anytime I've needed advice and a service call. Truly professional, I most recently had Steve take a look at my leaky faucet. He was not only timely and respectful but he also made sure I knew exactly what was needed to solve the problem. At Steve's recommendation, I visited the showroom on Elkcam where Tim spent a generous amount of his time ensuring proper quotes and printouts for my options. I highly recommend Prout's here on the island!

This is the most efficient and professional plumbing company on Marco Island. We have been 35 year customers and we have NEVER been let down in a plumbing emergency . Cindy is very considerate and polite with scheduling and follow through . We have found Prouts to have high standards; and they are an HONEST company !!! Homeowners, you will never be cheated by these people . We need more businesses like PROUTS in the USA ! There would be a lot less grumpy, mistrusting customers !

They do good work. But they do not take credit cards at all or payment over the phone. For an island full of snowbirds who live out of state, this aspect is not very user friendly.

I contacted them to ask about their charges. They advised they charged $85.00/hour. Based on this information, I scheduled an appointment. The plumber spent an hour and five minutes at my house. A few days later I received a bill for two hours of work. When I called, they said the bill time starts from the time the plumber leaves his last job. Hence in my case, it took the plumber 10 minutes to get to my house, and since the job went over by five minutes they charged the additional 15 minutes as an additional hour. This pricing structure, including the traveling time, should have been explained upfront when I inquired about the billing rates. I find this lack of transparency on their part unprofessional. Consequently, they have lost a customer.
