Recommended Customer Reviews

This plumbing company is skilled in advertising their services. On top of that, I must mention the excessive pricing they offer.
I hired their services to put in a new hot water system. They advised me to connect it with an extension cord rather than adding a new outlet, which took me a couple of hours to do. Their estimate for what they believed would be a day's worth of work to install a vent, run 15 feet of propane line, and set up 20 feet of visible plumbing was an astonishing $nine thousand three hundred dollars, almost entirely labor. They also warned that the final bill could be even higher!
I have a friend who knows who received a request to bid on the installation of a garage boiler. He was not interested in the job, so after figuring a sensible price with a reasonable profit, he included $three thousand dollars to his estimate, assuming he wouldn't get the job. Sadly, he competed with Prospector Plumbing and Heating and easily lost the contract.
A friend of mine contacted Prospector Plumbing and Heating to replace an under-the-sink valve. The worker stated he would rather put in a flexible stainless steel water line (the kind you can buy at local hardware stores for a small price) for $400 dollars!
They also have one more talent—a bit of humor.

The team at Prospector Plumbing and Heating replied within a few hours and fixed my cabin to my satisfaction! I had replace a replacement shower control, but I could only do so much. The tech and I decided that a total replacement would be the best option rather than attempting to fix it piecemeal. All the required parts were in the service van, and everything was taken care of quickly. The technician, Ryland was very knowledgeable, approachable, and courteous. I have suggested them to a couple of friends.
It cost came to $1935 for the installation of a Delta shower fixture.

I had a problem with my boiler's blower motor, and it required urgent repair because the temperature was -5 degrees. Prospector Plumbing and Heating responded the next business day and they installed a new blower motor in less than an hour.
The service was satisfactory, however, the bill was $1050 for a $163 blower motor and just one hour of work. I will not be using their services again.
Overall, the response time from Prospector Plumbing and Heating was impressive, yet the cost was quite high. I anticipated a more reasonable price for the service provided.

I recently had the team at Prospector Plumbing come to my home to carry out a maintenance check on my boiler. I met Ryland, the technician who carried out the work.
Ryland proved to be highly skilled and showed a deep understanding in his field. He discovered that the “China Cap” was absent from my boiler stack, which led to snow and water entering my boiler and staining my garage floor with an orange hue.
I opted to join their membership program and intend to schedule my service through them.

I would assign this company a zero-star rating. This company is without a doubt the worst! From their high prices and overpricing to their lackluster workmanship, a disregard for cleanliness and no follow-up, they are certainly developing a bad reputation in the area! Do not consider their services!

I was quoted $4,000 for a new 30-gallon water tank pump, I lost weeks of sleep worrying about how to afford this essential household appliance as I operate a daycare at home and require clean water.
I ultimately asked a friend for their advice that indicated the pump simply needed some adjustments. All it needed was to be pressurized.
Jared Williams, do better. Shame on you. Chasing money can lead to unethical practices.
I want to share my story so others can be cautious. Prospector Plumbing and Heating must value transparency.

I advise against the annual free inspection membership with them. They are friendly and impressive during the initial visit to encourage you to join the membership. Once you realize it is a fraud and that they inflate prices, you'll likely want to leave the membership. Then, they will seek to collect $600 just to get you off their list.

Customers beware... steer clear of Prospector Plumbing and Heating. They recently started problems concerning the scheduled upkeep for my boiler. At first, I was satisfied and the team seemed friendly. Still, it is important for them to notify their customers when of delays and not leave them hanging for too long.
I spoke with the manager, and I found him to be dismissive and tried to treat me as if I were uninformed, which felt inappropriate. I attempted to be respectful even though the way he spoke was inappropriate. He kept trying to baffle me about the services I was receiving, and I pointed this out, he didn't like it. We plan to pursuing legal action shortly. I am unable to with a clear conscience suggest using them anymore unless they the manager is fired who can handle issues better.

I made an effort to use their services. Considering interior Alaska, this company is poorly priced.
On my initial visit, last season, they failed to show up for the appointment and contacted me to set a new time.
The second time I tried to use them, I experienced the same issue. If these people show up, you will likely be overcharged.
Do not use their services if you value your time and money.

I will never call them again. I ended up spending $96 without receiving any value.
I needed to install a water softener. Their estimate was $3300, and the worker was on-site for just 10 to 15 minutes. It's better to save your money, and avoid calling them. Seek out another plumbing company because their prices are outrageous.
I definitely will not suggest Prospector Plumbing and Heating to others.
