The kitchen sink backed up. A mess. For some unknown reason, someone GLUED THE PIPES TOGETHER, so not easy to fix. After wasting time and money on another plumber, we were referred to Carlos.
What a godsend! He arrived quickly, fixed it all right away and charged me a very fair price. Left work the area spotless.

Great Plumber , Mr Carlos has been my plumber for my rental property in San Juan Capistrano for the last six years . He has changed my dishwasher , garbage disposal and toilets in the past . Last week the tenants moved out and he replaced a leaking faucet and a valve in the bath tub . He also replaced the wax seal in the upstairs toilet. One time the tenants called me , no hot water . I was thinking maybe I will have to replace the water heater . He came out to check , relighted the pilot , heater was okay . Honest plumber , excellent service , reasonable prices . This guy Carlos is unbelievable guy.. we can't believe how come he is surviving as a plumber with his attitude.. I'm putting here the conversation the way it happened and judge him by yourself... try to be extremely kind in judging him and see if you can give him any review than the lowest possible..

One of our friends found his number on his van in some parking lot and gave me his number to make an apt since we were looking for a plumber, so we called him up and setup an apt at 2 PM. (1st mistake: didn't look him up on Yelp). He comes promptly at 2PM. I introduce myself and shook hands with him, by then I felt something was off with the way he interacted before even entering into the house but then I gave him a benefit of doubt, maybe it's because English is not his first language. Then he comes into the house (didn't remove the shoes or asked us if it's ok to have the shoes on, which is ok no big deal), I walked him to the kitchen sink and I explain the plumbing problems that I have, after 2 things I reported, he says no more issues, that's it.. at first I didn't understand, what does he mean? He doesn't want to hear all the issues that I want him to look at.. then again I gave him a smile thinking he must be kidding.. then went on told him the third thing.. and then he says that's it.. the whole house is breaking down.. no more.. no more.. I'm like what... what's his problem if I have 100 things, just give me the quote.. but then I left it alone. He looked at the garbage disposal and said it's cheap and it needs to be replaced.. i said the leak is from the pipe joint as i see it but do you think we need to replace the whole thing? He says, yeah it's cheap.. but don't worry, i will replace the whole thing. I said ok and then we go outta the kitchen, I ask him how much would it cost? He says $375. I said ok.. can you tell me how much is the parts and how much is the labor? (If he was right about the garbage disposal being cheap, it was replaced by home shield warranty a year ago, this time I want to know what brand is he replacing it with, so that I don't want to have this one broken again in an year)..he says.. don't worry i will do the whole thing for $400.. i was like did he just went from $375 to $400... I asked him, you just said $375.. he said IF YOU KEEP ARGUING WITH ME IT WILL GO UP TO $475..i was like WTF.. I LOST IT BY THIS TIME.. I said what do you mean? He just walks out of the house without any word.. it's was unbelievable what just happened..it took some time to come back to normal.. how could someone like him in services and survive in this everything about customer service and ratings world

Anyway Carlos man, I suggest you better change your attitude or become obsolete.. first listen and then if you don't like something, there is a way to communicate..

Guys, now go ahead and see if you can rate higher than i did by being EXTREMELY KIND to him.

My business had used Carlos in the past a few times and found him to be O.K. and less expensive than some of the corporate chain operations.

I developed a Toilet tank leak at my residence and called my business to ask an employee to call Carlos as I did not have the phone number at home and felt since this employee was also Hispanic he could explain the situation very well. He gave Carlos all the info he needed and Carlos told him to tell me he would be out later that same day.....if not.... first thing in the morning as he was very busy.

He did not show that afternoon (no phone call) so I just assumed he would show up first thing in the morning as my employee had indicated About 9:00 A.M. that next morning (no show) I decided to call him and was informed that he had no such conversation with my employee and acted totally in the dark regarding my plumbing problem. He asked for my address and said he would be out after 2:00 P.M. I inadvertently made mention of the fact that I was told by my employee it would be early in the morning (big mistake) and he blew up......saying I had no conversation with this guy! My employee is very trustworthy and has been with me for some time and has now essentially been called a ""Liar"" by Carlos.

I bet you're all thinking......he didn't show after 2:00 P.M. either....Right?
Correct! No phone call.....and now (24 hours later)....still no phone call. I can take rude behavior; I can take tardiness; and as long as the work is adequate.....I can overlook many things. But I reject the idea he did not talk to my employee. I know this man (employee) very well and he would have no reason to make up the story he told me. The fact that Carlos has still not called (or come by) speaks volumes about the disputed conversation with my employee.

I wasn't originally going to mention this......but the ""State License #"" on the business card my employee used to ascertain his phone # and subsequently contact him belonged to someone else and was cancelled in 1983 per the State of California Plumbing Contractors Licensing Board. It was issued 02/23/1961 to a contractor in Los Angeles and expired on 11/30/1983.

Do what you will with that.............and use Carlos if you will. I'm sure he knows the trade very well and can handle most any plumbing problem. Just don't trust him to be honest.

The absolute worse plumber you could ask for! He improperly installed a water heater a few years ago, come to find out he forgot to install the kit that properly seals a water heater for safety. The city came out and said the long term gas leak was because this guy never installed the equipment properly. After several attempts to reach ""Carlos the plumber"" he blamed the water Vetter for ""expiring past his 3"" day warranty"" despite me explains several times that it was a part that was never ever installed. The guy finally hung up on me and never resolved the issue stating I would have to get another company out to fix the issue"" do not make the mistake I made with someone who does not know what they are doing. At this point we are not just filing a complaint with the city but we are also seeking for personal damages

I had Carlos come out early this year to fix some leaking sinks. The original appointment was for an afternoon, before 5pm, but when he didn't show up, we had to contact him to see what's up. He said he didn't have time to come out that day, and he rescheduled for the next day.

Luckily, he came out the following day. Carlos has an interesting sense of humor. He is VERY sarcastic and if you don't realize it, you might take him seriously and a misunderstanding can happen.

He knew exactly what was wrong with the sinks, and replaced the old parts with brand new parts. The old parts were only less than 6 months old and had already started corroding (apparently it was due to cheap parts?), but the parts that he's put in, which has been at least 6 months now, are still as perfect as when he had put them in! So the parts that he uses are very high-quality!

I'm very happy with the service he's provided, and will definitely contact him if we're ever in need of a plumber! He's honest with what you'd need in order to fix the problem. The only thing is, hopefully he'll be punctual then, and come at a time that he said he'd come. Thanks, Carlos!

We called him, obviously for plumbing problems, and he came in so angry asking ""do you have money for me??"" ""How much do you have??""
He was rude right off the bat. He claimed he stayed for about an hour but he only lasted 15 minutes and walked out. He didn't fix anything and said ""I don't know. I don't know."" Really?! Thanks for the help! Thought you were supposed to be a ""friendly"" plumber. Guess people tell lies just to get business!

Whatever you do, do not call for them. Go with a different service!

Oh! And we told him to come in at 1:30pm. Guess what time he came!? 4:30!!! Great timing
