Their office texted me when my first choice plumber was booked up previously. Eddie came out the next day, fixed my faucet and fixed the seal/washer on a pipe underneath the kitchen sink, stopping the water leakage. Eddie was friendly and polite, diagnosed the problem right away and fixed everything to my liking. I definitely recommend Pronto Heating & Air Conditioning.

Great tune up service and price, but I can't believe I fell for the air filter scam when you get an oil change. Only Pronto has a better rate of return on their version. I was sold a replacement capacitor as preventive maintenance. My new $130 capacitor cost $10 anywhere online.

Edit added on for Kevin: You offer your service at a great price, but then you pick my pocket on the add-on. This speaks volumes on what might be expected in a true emergency when you have the customer in a tough spot.

If you'd like to be so transparent show me your part cost, I'm willing to wager you paid less than $13 for the common cap and then increased 1000%.

You want to claim gas, yada, yada? You are well aware that's part of the service call, not an upcharge on parts.

John the tech was outstanding, it's unfortune his boss sent him on a slimy mission to rip off customers. I did email you. I got no response.

Jeff the managers email today justified hiding overhead cost into parts pricing . John the tech brought me the removed capacitor in hand and asked if I wanted it replaced:

In response to your dissatisfaction with our capacitor price, I want to briefly explain how we set our prices.

We have to factor in all of the costs involved.

Our technicians have the knowledge to check the capacitor properly and determine the capacitor needs to be replaced. This requires training and experience.
Our technicians have the proper tools to do their jobs effectively and efficiently, these tools aren't free.
We have overhead expenses involved in sending a truck and knowledgeable technician to your house.
The capacitor doesn't diagnose itself.
The capacitor doesn't replace itself.
The capacitor doesn't warranty itself if it happens to fail within a year of the replacement date.
And finally, we have to pay the knowledgeable, qualified, licensed technician that we employ. Qualified technicians are not minimum wage workers.
------------

So the above list was added to the single capacitor line item charge and is listed as a part charge. Everything he listed above is already part of the $70 tune-up.

Common sense: Increase your service fee, not hide overhead into a parts price (THAT IS ILLEGAL).

Danny was quick to come out and assess my problem. Within minutes Derek was out to give me options on my unit. Was able to complete the entire system the next day. Hunter, Sean and Mikey took care of all the installation in just a few hours. Couldn't ask for nicer representatives from the company. They were polite and explained all that I needed in a way I could understand. They were also very neat with the installation.

Thanks, Wanda N

They certainly live up to their name! Within a few hours on a Saturday, the technician, Tyler, came out, assessed the problem & repaired the AC quickly. They were reasonably priced, too! We'll certainly use them the next time we need help with our AC!

This company had come out on a holiday to replace by broken thermostat, so when I saw they had an A/C inspection special I called. Jeff, who was there Service Manager was very personable and told me some things I can do yearly to keep my A/C working. I never was told by my previous a/c guys about hosing the dirt off the outside wire/mesh to help the machine draw in air. Jeff must have spent about an hour hosing all the dirt and crap out of my a/c since it hadn't been cleaned in 6 yrs! I can feel the difference in how my house is cooling now. Great Job!

READ BEFORE YOU CALL- Note that I tried to resolve this issue with the front office before posting this review. This company is only interested in taking your money or selling you a product. My family member paid $1000 for service and for overcharged parts, but was left with no operational Air conditioning unit after the work was completed. A technician indicated that there was a leak in the unit and that it was completely empty of Freon. The only option they gave was to apply the $1000 already paid for a brand new unit, which they quoted for $3-4,000. They were more than happy to take more of our family member's money to address what they said was the problem. After consulting with another company, it was determined that the leak was minimal, the unit was not completely empty of Freon. It only needed 2.5 lbs! The new company fixed the problem in a matter of 3 hours for under $500. Our family member, who happens to be recovering from a stroke and is currently unemployed, now has an operational air conditioning unit, no thanks to Pronto. It is our experience that the technicians at Pronto Heating and Air do not have the expertise for accurate diagnostics, and the front office took their word as truth. If you don't like being taken advantage of or don't like to throw away your money for nothing, do not choose Pronto Heating and Air.

READ BEFORE YOU CALL, I call Pronto Heating & Air Conditioning out to to find out why my AC line was freezing. After talking with the service guy and telling him my issue. I told him that I keep my filters changes and wash my coils once a month. That is the some of the main reason for the line to freeze. He put his gauges on the AC unit. And noticed my schrader valve was loose and had a little leak and tightened it. Then after a few minutes of running I was told that I was low on referent (410a). And that I needed 7.5 pounds to fill it up my 5 tone unit at $145 per pound. Comes out to $1087. I told him I have the 410a if he could just use mine. He said that he couldn't do that. I can understand that but i thought I'd ask. So i called another AC company for second option. Turned out I only needed 3 pounds and was charged $100 per pound. So after 3 pounds of 410a at $100 per pound and the service charge it was $400 saved $687.

We had a heater issue a day before New Year's Eve and made a call to a random hvac company that was close to us. I call pronto thinking I wouldn't get same day service which I was wrong they where able to get us fixed that evening. With minimal issue and parts they were honest in their repair and diagnoses of our old unit which I couldn't afford to replace. The tech sold me on his service and ability to fix my heater issue without trying to up sell me a new unit for a simple issue that had been overlooked by a different company. I signed up for the maintenance program only because of their professional service. So far a great local company to do business with will see how our system does this summer under maintenance contract.
