update to my prior review- this actually just keeps getting work. Now that someone else fixed the wiring mistake that Promen did during installation, the air conditioners are finally working right. However now, the pipes in the basement to one of the units is leaking- basically raining in the basement when we turn it on. Looks like they screwed up the pipework as well. Completely incompetent!!!!!

I had a really good experience with Promen in January. I usually wait a bit before posting a review so that I can be confident in the work that was done. Now, a couple of months later, I can say with confidence that Promen did an excellent job.

The burner on our oil-fired boiler had developed a loud noise that was probably a motor bearing going bad. After doing some research, I decided it would be more cost effective to replace the old burner with a new one. Not knowing how soon the burner would fail, I wanted to get a new one as quickly as possible. My oil company, Petro, hadn't returned my calls to their service department about getting a quote for a replacement. After several days of this, I decided to look for an independent HVAC specialist to do the job.

I found Promen, called and spoke to Diego Santamaria. He was attentive, asked for some basic information about my boiler, and offered me a quote the same day and an appointment time to do the work the following day (though I opted for a day later in the week that would work better). He and another expert technician arrived promptly. It was sort of fun watching them work. They were like a well-oiled machine, one asking for a specific part or tool, the other handing it over, quickly and systematically, kind of like watching a surgeon. This was clearly not their first rodeo.

They tested everything thoroughly a few times before leaving to check their work. At first I wished they had taken my old burner to dispose of it, but now I'm glad that they left it, because it turns out that the old one is sought after on eBay for parts. Bonus!

As for price, well let me put it this way. After chasing my oil company (with which I have an annual service contract) for a week, I finally got the quote they promised a week before. It was $700 higher than what I paid Promen for the exact same Beckett burner.

I will be calling Promen again to quote future projects.

Don't hesitate to call Promen and talk to Diego. Quick, skilled, courteous, efficient, and competitive pricing. Can't beat that!
