Neat and very precise installation of a Navien tankless water heater; they actually used a level on the copper pipes before soldering! They also neatly painted the roof vent to match all my other vents (I went to get the matching paint as they worked); they carefully covered the surrounding area with painters tape and plastic. They covered the garage floor and the surfaces on which they stepped or laid tools.
I got three bids from licensed plumbers listed on the Navien website after checking licenses on the CSLB as well as Yelp reviews. All three bids were identical; the only difference was the aesthetics of the proposed installations. I asked a lot of questions as to exactly what I would visually see at completion. The other installers proposed uglier installations which made their job easy. Danny was the only one who took the time to do a thorough inspection of the roof vent and propose a plan A and a plan B for a roof venting method that would meet Navien installation specifications. I called Navien to ascertain his unusual idea met their specifications as he was the contrarian. Plan B would have cost $300 more and he came prepared to do it; it turned out plan A worked, saving me money.
The other installers (couldn't think outside the box) said plan A wouldn't work, wouldn't even attempt it, and proposed an ugly vent right near my front door. If you care about a precise and optimally attractive installation I highly recommend ProMax. Hiring Danny was a no brainer - everything to gain and nothing to lose.
Caution: Don't assume that any licensed C36 plumber can install a tankless properly. Once I discovered the Navien website list of trained installers and started calling Navien to ask questions I realized the first bid I received (from a plumber not on the list) was an unsafe and risky method solely designed to make the installation cheap and easy. You are dealing with gas and therefore the potential for monoxide exposure; make sure you hire someone who is certified by Navien!

Our water heater was old and started leaking quite a bit. We were contemplating going with a tankless for various reasons and look into costs. Based on our budget, we could do it and now needed to find a reputable business to take care of this replacement.

I typically go through reviews before contacting businesses and ProMax seemed to have exceptional service. While the initial contact took a little bit of time to get a response, speaking to Daniel, it sounded like a good fit for what we needed. Plus, he was able to dispatch one of his guys within a few hours as we were needing this taken care of ASAP before the problem got worse.

Alex came, was very professional and his work was great. It took a little longer than anticipated but he was also accommodating where I wanted the tankless and reconfiguring the pipes.

Overall, very happy with the service and our water heater.

I strongly recommend ProMax and its owner, Daniel. Right from the start he was incredibly communicative with setting up a time that worked for me and was punctual and respectful when he arrived. Even before I walked outside to meet with Daniel, he already uncovered an unrelated issue involving a whole-house water purification system (Halo5) that was installed improperly by another plumber almost a year ago (that has since been replaced for free by that older plumber, who was very embarrassed!). Daniel gave me a very honest quote and solid recommendation for the tankless water heater system that fit my family's needs. He then followed up by keeping me up to date with scheduling the job and then showed up and did excellent work in removing the faulty unit with a new one. Daniel and ProMax have gained a customer for life.

My hot water heater was old and starting to leak. I got estimates from a number of local companies. Boy did I make the right move when I hired Promax. They installed a new tankless hot water heater. They arrived on time, were highly professional and did a great job. I think they got me hot water about 24 hours after I actually made my initial call to them! One item needed attention and the owner actually came out and resolved himself. They are the real deal. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend or hire them again.

Danny gave us an estimate to install a Navien 180S2 tankless water heater at a very competitive price. After getting a few other estimates and following up with a few questions, we decided we were most comfortable with ProMax. Danny returned yesterday for the installation which he did efficiently and professionally. He answered our questions and gave us an overview of the recommended annual flushing process to ensure the proper operation of the water heater.

Probably the most honest home service company I've dealt with...and I'm a house manager/assistant, so I deal with a A LOT of different service companies daily .


They came out for an initial estimate for a water heater issue (thought it was installed incorrectly and was a fire hazard- according to another company who quoted me RIDICULOUSLY high [$3k+] for what I saw as a pretty minor repair/fix)

1. They initially quoted me 1/3 of the price I received from the other company, so I was happy already...

2. Then about a day after they came for the initial estimate, I got an email saying that someone else was going to come out (for free again) to double check and make sure there was an actual issue before doing anything.

3. The owner was the one who came out this time, and he confirmed that there was no issue with the venting/exhaust after all (it was a brand/model that happens to be installed differently than most others).

Great service and experience, definitely recommend them for anything water heater related!!

We installed a tankless water heater, and Daniel was **AWESOME**. We also added a whole-house water filter / softening system and Daniel helped make sure we had everything spec'd properly.

When it came time to install, he was super professional, and extremely neat. When I show off our new ""water closet"" everyone is wowed with how neat his work was.
