Promag Energy Group gets 1 Star as Yelp will not allow me to give them 0 Stars. Similar to the stories already written by others, but to recap my experience: 1. Cold Calls: Endless calls soliciting a service inspection - by endless I mean years. They litterally called me for three years so I finally agreed as I needed an inspection for preventative maintenance reasons. 2. High Estimates - ensure you get a 2nd or 3rd estimate. I did need a new system and they were available to install the next day. Again, it was convient for me as I travel. Nonetheless the estimate was $1,000 - $2,000 higher then others (after the fact estimates received). 3. Service Part I: Inspection was very good. Very professional. They showed me my problems and outlined their suggested solution. This was on 2.18.17 4. Service Part II: After the inspection, I agreed on the estimate and the install was to happen the next day Sunday, 2.19.17. 5. Service Part III: The technicians came on Sunday as planned, 2.19.17, and were professional and friendly, however, the system was not installed correctly as the thermostats didn't work and the house duct dampners did not cool the main part of the house. It was February so I did not check each vent for cooling and pressure. NOTE: Make sure you take the time and inspect everything. 6. Service Part IV: Along with the installation of new units I also got a duct cleaning. For all the calling and scheduling, they always seemed to miss there dates which they did for the succeeding week cleaning. It was scheduled from Saturday, 2.25.17 - no one showed up. I call in and they said sorry. Re-scheduled for 3.4.17. Thus, I had to move my schedule again to accomodate them. 5. Service Part V: I paid in full on 2.18.17. It is now 4.29.17 and my main part of my house still does not cool. I had an appoint this a.m., which was confirmed via a telephone call on 4.28.17 by their office (Keisha) for 9 a.m. on 4.29.17. Less then 24 hours later the owner (JD Harris) calls and states he is not going to make it. I find this unacceptable and bush league construction. When he called I was a little upset as last Saturday, 4.22.17 I had an appointment to get it fixed, but Pro Mag sent a technican to confirmed what I stated - with no intention of fixing the problem....thus I rescheduled again and you can see how this turned out for lme. I paid promptly and expect to receive the services at the time of payment. If the service is provided is subpar, my new expectation is for the company to jump through hoops to fix it and accommodate my schedule. This is a one a done transaction with this company. Two months after I paid in full - I still have no joy.

I initially thought that Promag was going to be a good AC company,However, I am so disappointed in the AC they installed. My electric bill is running over 400.00 a month and they assured me that it would be in the neighborhood of $200.00 or less. Not to say that they would know exactly but they sold us on the idea, as one of the Sales/Technicians that looked at our unit and told us we needed it replaced, stated he has a house bigger than our home and his electric bill was under $200.00 a month. I did not expect it to be exact as people live different lives and their use of electricity would be different. The unit is very loud and they said it would be very quiet, which it was for about the first 40 days and the sound increased and its less than 7 months of being installed.I find them to be unorganized rude, and deceitful. the office personnel is not polite friendly nor respectful of their customers, when asked to speak to the Owner or manager it fell on death ears. Its a shame that businesses choose to not want to grow their business on integrity and customer service. So if Promag is the only company that answers your calls, its because other companies that deserve the business is out working on Ac's properly. Promag is available because they are shady and have time to rip people off. Very disappointed with this company to say the least. Don't call them you will be sorry as I am right now.

I had promag install a new ac unit and the workers did a nice job. The company took out the permits and I was waiting for an inspection which never happened . the permit expired in august. it is now the middle of sept. they said that they renewd the permit but when I called the building dpt. they said it was never renewd . IT APPEARS that they only care about getting that check and screw the customer

The representative followed up confirming my appointment of 4:30pm, which was appreciated. When I asked what time is the latest I could expect him, I was told 5:30 because the representative was not that busy. I gave him until 8:45pm, I emailed them letting them know their business is no longer required. If you get a no call no show by a sales representative, what can I expect from the service itself?

Trust the reviews on this page. This company knows you are in a bad spot. They come out, charge you for the visit and quote a really high price. Two other companies came out and did not charge me for the estimate and both were a $1000-$2000 under this company for repairs. Unfortunately, they are listed under other names. If they say there is a charge for the estimate, move on.

I contacted ProMag to have the drain cleared at my handler. Neither the handler or the drip pan were draining so I knew the clog was far down the line and we exhausted our efforts trying to clear it ourselves. The air became very sluggish, incredibly humid and eventually froze over. I initially spoke with a man named Louis who said they could """"absolutely help"""" and clearing the drain was part of a 24pt service call for $59.95. I scheduled a tech to arrive in the window of 12-3p. The tech arrived around 2:55p. He performed no noticeable service, explained that our handler was 22yrs old. He claimed it had a coil leak and said it would need to be completely replaced, since it was so old they would be unable to source replacement parts. He claimed he was unable to provide any services at all because the handler was frozen over. He assessed the fee and left. I contacted ProMag afterward for a better understanding of the situation, since the man I initially spoke with said they could, """"absolutely help"""" with my frozen handler and overflowing drain. I spoke with a Regional Manager who reiterated that our handler is 22yrs old, 10yrs older than the Florida average, and he insisted that our handler was not freezing over because of a drain clog. He rattled off his credentials and tenure within the industry and assured me it was a larger problem than clearing the drain. He was very gracious and extended at least the illusion of care -- he offered to discount future business with ProMag and offered to apply the cost of the service call. So of course, I seek a second opinion - except the second opinion found no leak, cleared the drain, cleaned our coils and now my AC is running like champ. They were able to help us when ProMag woudn't. ProMag did nothing and took my money anyway. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I initially decided against contacting the BBB but after reading several similar reviews I've decided I owe it to the market and future consumers.

This company is full of liars and very rude people. They harass you on the phone to get service work done, even though my unit did not need service. When you call them to get warranty work done, they lie to you and try to upsell you some service that you don't really need. Always get a second opinion from a reputable company, just not this one.

I put in a brand new AC unit with this company , within 6 months there service department called and asked to schedule a service I felt that was odd but went along with the service its been 10 months since that service and I have been called no less then 15 times asking to service my AC again I was called 6 times in 3 days after many attempts to ask them to stop calling me I am still getting phone calls. I would never do business with this company again.

This has been one of the worst experiences as a new home owner. I purchased a BRAND NEW HVAC unit from Promag and it has been absolute trouble ever since. The largest of these problems has been having my unit inspected by the county. Now, a year and a half later, still no inspection. Though, my countless calls to Promag and the county, I have still been unable to ensure that the unit was safely installed. I have had multiple appointment cancellations on service appointments. I have spoken to management, and through rude and crass """"customer service"""" have had more problems with them than I can count. If it was not for the fact that I still need my unit inspected, I would not be dealing with them anymore. I cannot wait for the day that I can turn my back on this experience. I have asked on more than several occasions to speak with the owner JD Harris and still have not been contacted.

My AC was went out in May. It was blowing cool but very weak air. I went with Promag on recommendation on someone else. Fred came out and supposedly """"diagnosed"""" as my compressor. They overcharged me at $3,500 for a compressor and it was still not running right after. After they came out about 4 times to my business and finally said because it was my fan motor, then charged another $500 to change out the motor but then the tech drill a hole in one of the line and all the freon leaked out by the next day. So, they came out again and sealed the line and adding back the freon. Long story, you should get a second opinion after these incompetent guys. The whole thing could have been resolved with the fan motor. Please learn from my costly mistake and avoid them completely. Btw, the owner is a joke with his attitude of """"I don't give a F...K"""" if I overcharged you.
