We just had CJ come in and review our AC to inspect the health of it. He was so friendly, professional and easy to work with. He explained everything we needed to know for future repair and was super knowledgeable. We are thankful for his time and for going above and beyond with answering all of our questions. I highly recommend Promag Energy and ask for CJ!

promag is the absolute worst company I've ever and I mean ever had service my air conditioning system I called because my home air was not cooling they had a tech out to the house within 4 hours after I was told that the tech will be there in one well ok things happen. I stepped out my house when they finally got there when I get back I find my 71 years old wife crying apparently the tech ripped the unit out completely saying that we were all going to "DIE" because it had mold and that it was illegal to own a r-22 unit in the state of Florida and that it was a federal offense. and that if we didn't change the unit he will be forced to call the police. after I was forced to pay $7,800 for a 2 ton straight cool goodman unit no duck work just the unit I come to find out that my old unit that was replaced just 2 years ago. we just moved down from Washington d.c. this company takes advantage of senior citizen my advice to every one around run away from this company they are the worst fear for your safety and your family JD Harris and the pro mag management are all meth heads.

Arrived quickly but did damage that they will not be responsible for. I would never use them again. They are fast talkers with every excuse in the book.

Please do not do business with these people. You will be ripped off. I am renting a house in Merritt Island from a friend and when the summer heat arrived the AC would not keep up. After finding Pro Mags card on the refrigerator I called their Cocoa Beach office last Thursday and was told that their technician would arrive the following morning. Friday morning two technicians led by James arrived, and after a few minutes of diagnosing the problem James, told me that the problem was that AC Compressor was leaking and it had to be replaced at a cost of $3,900 (please see attached quote. Then James proceeded to tell me the following: * the cause of the compressor leak was that the unit had been installed next to a sprinkler that spayed hard water (containing sulfur) casing the unit to rust. * since the sprinklers where the cause of the damage it would not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. * that Pro Mag had not done the original installation * the original was not done according to the Florida code and whoever had done it could have their license compromised by not doing it according to code * by all looks the original installation had not been permitted nor inspected buy the county. * the diagnostic visit cost $55 (which I paid) James then left with the AC unit disassembled and he refused to add Ffreon to it since """"it would only leak out"""". That day the temperature reached 93 Fahrenheit in Merritt Island. I tracked down the AC unit's manufacturer and serial number. The manufacturer, Goodman Group, told me that the unit had indeed been sold to ProMag Energy Group in 2012. I then called ProMags Cocoa office, spoke to a lady named Amanda, who told that they had no records of selling this unit, and that the only record they had related to my address was a service call in May of 2013. When I told Amanda that Goodman had told me that ProMag had bought the units, she told me that she would need to call me back. Shorty later James called me back. He told me that ProMag count not possibly have done the install since they kept really good records, and they had no record of an install being done at my address. After locating the original invoice I emailed a copy of it to the Cocoa ProMag office (to Amanda). It showed that the unit had been installed on April 4th 2012 and was under 1 year labor and 5 year parts warranty. I repeatedly called thought out that day, and no one would give me an answer. I finally got a call late on Friday from James. James told me that he had contacted Goodman, and that the manufacturer's warranty would be invalid due to the hard water, and that they were not liable in any way. He also told me that he had informed his manager about the install not being """"according to code"""", but still the responsibly was not theirs. I proceeded to tell James that in my opinion: * ProMag was liable since they had done the original install, and if anything was wrong with the placement of the unit relative to the sprinklers it was their fault. * ProMag did service the unit in may of 2013 and at that point had ample opportunity * The previous unit had been in the same location for 14 years without any problems. Still, James told me that they were not responsible in any way. Feeling that I was being sold an BS story I called another local vendor. Being that it was by then late Friday afternoon before memorial day weekend the first their technician could b her was early Tuesday morning. After a very hot week-end the other company technician, Charlie, arrived. I did not tell Charlie anything about my previous experience, just asked him to diagnose the problem. Charlie came back telling the system was low on Freon, and he suspected that the dryer unit had a small leak. He suggested that we top-off the Freon, and to do a complete leak check when the weather cooled off again in the fall. Total cost, including 6 pounds of Freon: $317

Date of Salesman visit 7/19/19. Date of Install 7/20/19. This is just the beginning of my complaint to Promag Energy group from Ocala Florida. First issue I noticed was the employee was trying to install 2 used Square D breakers. I had to intervein since I got nervous watching the employee work around a hot panel box. I retrieved my KLEIN 1000v insulated screwdriver and I showed him a SAFER way to work / re- installing circuit breakers so he had more control of the breaker and wire in a hot panel.. The [2] employees and I agreed one of 2 was not a new breaker but [ previously used and weathered ]. the one had an issue [ and we had to apply much more force for the lever to operate using 2 hands. Breaker appeared locked between the off / on position without red indicator showing. [.. After a day or so I decided to look at my air handler since my air flow from the vents was supposed to be much better according to the sales rep """" Gr__ """". My installed air handler is a 3.5 ton air handler and my outside unit is a 4 TON. I was told that my 10 year old Carrier fan motor with dust on it isn't blowing like it should. These are my first 2 issues realized at the time.. . My wife called about the Breakers and after a couple of days were corrected and replaced. That employee said to my wife """"I don't know why they would install used breakers."""" The next day I noticed the undersized air handler according to the serial # and confirmed from the TRANE website. I called the sales rep after a few days and he assured me the office would call me since he was notifying them of the first 2 problems and would correct any problems. At this time it's been 1.5 weeks with no response from the company about the undersized AIR HANDLER and several other issues. My new install will not pass inspection from the county at this time plus they haven't even pulled the permit for the install. I haven't even mentioned the Air Handler leaking all over the floor from the drain line. The office put me on the schedule for the next day with a charge of 110.00. A new tech showed up on Aug 6th 2019 later in the evening after work to look over/ review my issues since he was local. . He was surprised at the sub par quality of work performed by his company [ subcontractors ? 80 miles away in Orlando FL ]. during date of install [ 7/20/19 ]. He came back the following Friday with his helper on August 9th to correct the obvious issues. They corrected all of the issues regarding poor quality and lack of work that was left undone. Those where the items that I told the office [ main # called ]and the tech new tech just days before including the under sized air handler. As of August 19, 2019 no word from Promag Energy regarding my undersized air handler not to mention any kind of inspection from the County. [ More to come] I will update this post accordingly .when my system is installed as to what I was told and contract from what I can read from it [ very vague ] and hard to read. UPDATE as on AUGUST

I helped this company with Dave Irwin ( whom they hired for the day) do an install for these guys Saturday August 7th 2021 @ 1000 Marabon Ave in Orlando. Went to their shop on John Young Parkway across from the Orange County Jail to puck up the units and supplies, met the owner and his son. Who was hitting lines of Cocaine off his office desk.( I guess you can do that when you own the building and rake in $59 million annually in revenue.) Anyway, this company did not pay me the $300 for helping Dave Irwin install this system. I've reached out to the owner, John Dean Taggerty and Dave Irwin for my money, to no avail. Bad company to work for or to do business with. They have too many bad reviews and have been investigated by Chanel 9 NEWS Todd Ulrich and the BBB. Now I see why.

My 2 day old HVAC is loud, expensive and the thermostat doesn't work. They are very unprofessional! Told me I would have to pay service charge if they come out. WRONG! I have a warranty! I give them 0 stars!

I contacted ProMag to have the drain cleared at my handler. Neither the handler or the drip pan were draining so I knew the clog was far down the line and we exhausted our efforts trying to clear it ourselves. The air became very sluggish, incredibly humid and eventually froze over. I initially spoke with a man named Louis who said they could """"absolutely help"""" and clearing the drain was part of a 24pt service call for $59.95. I scheduled a tech to arrive in the window of 12-3p. The tech arrived around 2:55p. He performed no noticeable service, explained that our handler was 22yrs old. He claimed it had a coil leak and said it would need to be completely replaced, since it was so old they would be unable to source replacement parts. He claimed he was unable to provide any services at all because the handler was frozen over. He assessed the fee and left. I contacted ProMag afterward for a better understanding of the situation, since the man I initially spoke with said they could, """"absolutely help"""" with my frozen handler and overflowing drain. I spoke with a Regional Manager who reiterated that our handler is 22yrs old, 10yrs older than the Florida average, and he insisted that our handler was not freezing over because of a drain clog. He rattled off his credentials and tenure within the industry and assured me it was a larger problem than clearing the drain. He was very gracious and extended at least the illusion of care -- he offered to discount future business with ProMag and offered to apply the cost of the service call. So of course, I seek a second opinion - except the second opinion found no leak, cleared the drain, cleaned our coils and now my AC is running like champ. They were able to help us when ProMag woudn't. ProMag did nothing and took my money anyway. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I initially decided against contacting the BBB but after reading several similar reviews I've decided I owe it to the market and future consumers.

Do yourself a favor and call someone else! *****Our a/c quit working on 7/17/17. We called Promag after hours to repair. Stephen arrived at 7:35pm. He spent about 30 minutes working on the unit to replace a start/run capacitor. He told us that our unit was in bad shape and we need to replace the whole thing. Bad compressor, amping too high and it could completely go out any day. We have a 2005 Trane. He quoted us a replacement unit @ $7,400.00. He then presented us with a bill for $441.00. Whoa! Didn't expect that! After he left we did some investigating.. The part he replaced was about a $30..00 part. They charged us $331.00 for the part. We got a referral to a different a/c company from a co-worker. They came out and checked out our a/c unit. Everything he told us was a lie!!! We work hard for our money and this company basically stole from us, I will never use this company again and I hope that I can save someone some heartache, aggravation and $$$$$$$.

I have not received any service from this company. This review is about my experience with them on a brief 1 minute call. Someone called me saying that they are on my street and want to schedule an appointment for AC tune up. I mentioned that I was in a meeting and politely asked this guy to call me back later (I did need someone to look at my AC). He said , """"no, because you are not in a meeting"""". I am glad that I did not entertain this rude person any longer. Also, I will never hire this company for any work.
