This company wants to charge me 2700 to replace the coil outside on a 4 year old unit under warranty (the evaporator coil, not the unit). I understand needing to charge for labor on a warranty job and I am good with that, but they have about a 900% markup on freon as of this writing(anyone can take a free 3 day epa608 course on skillcat and buy it for about 15 dollars per pound as of this writing for hfc410a (r410a)). That is a very high mark up. Their tech told me that they charge $250 for a capacitor and that I could buy one online for $20(not counting labor). I asked the company for an itemized quote and their reply was """"We use a flat rate pricing system, not itemized line items. This fee covers all labor, whether it's 1 hour or 10 hours. All refrigerant, whether it's 2 pounds or 20 pounds. Lastly, the warranty processing fee which covers getting and paying for the part, and returning the part."""" They wouldn't even tell me how much the """"warrantee fee"""" was, so I asked again and got this reply. """"I've already sent the way our pricing works.  Please feel free to call tomorrow and ask for management."""" After the responses from email and hearing the attitude of the service tech, I have no interest in speaking to """"management"""". Edit of original review: I had another company quote 1300 for the same exact job. For a part under warranty, it is still high, but less than half of what they are charging. The company sent me a letter today threatening me with legal action for my Google review, and any other reviews i have posted about them, which made me think of yelp. I have edited it a little, but I think you can see each edit in Google. Apparently they will do anything to get a bad review for bad service removed, including threatening unsatisfied customers who hold them accountable. Feel free to see the rest of the 1 star reviews that have similar opinions.

Arrived quickly but did damage that they will not be responsible for. I would never use them again. They are fast talkers with every excuse in the book.

Took them three tries to pass inspection where they installed a 3 ton air conditioning for a house after they installed it it leaked water all over my garage floor because the drain was it put it right they came out three or four times clean the tubing Zhou did this put tire wraps on the shut off valve and food around on it off and I kept cleaning it in America flooding so I called him back again and found out the air conditioner was it put in their level and everything so the jury rig a thing put popsicle sticks in shims underneath the great moved at all around after three tries to three different technicians each one of them said I need to have it done and put it right and then I got a call from management saying that I had to go find somebody else to fix it because it was put in right they didn't listen to their technicians saying it had to be put in right they ignored me and they were nasty it's been five years now they still haven't fixed the problem time to go to the Better Business Bureau

I had a fire in my air conditioning unit I guess the fan motor caught on fire I had the fire department I was very distraught and scared there was smoke all throughout my house anyway Promag came the next day and wanted to get me all set up with a payment plan they said I actually needed a whole new system both the outside condenser and the air handler and new ducts Quoting $19,000 for everything and got me a loan which was gonna end up costing me 30,000 total over a 10 year. And then I had another company come who I highly recommend Palm Bay air and heat and all I needed was a new blower motor and they sprayed my ducts and everything has been up and running beautifully for $488. I was so disappointed and appalled and felt taken advantage of in a time of need when I was scared due to all the smoke in my house and they tried to get me to spend over a 10 year. Close to $30,000 for a whole new air conditioning system that I didn't need. So the commission would've been nice for them at my expense emotional and financial. Glad I looked around and had some friends tell me that that it was completely wrong and I was being taken advantage of and I listen to them thank God they save me from that horrible long-term debt all because an employee there wanted to take a vantage of me and making money off of me on a commission. So sad and despicable So I definitely do not recommend them

**SCAM ALERT! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!** Let me start by saying I never leave one star reviews as it takes me a lot to get that far. PROMAG ENERGY GROUP is the sole exception and has made it quite easy to leave this review because of how horrific their so-called customer service is. I am a realtor helping my parents in the Orlando area and had them come out to fix a broken AC. They charged $600 and """"fixed it."""" Nope. None of the bedrooms were cooling down after he left and when I called today to ask them to come back out they had the nerve to state they would be charging another fee. I told them that was unacceptable as they have already been paid to fix the AC and nothing was in fact fixed. The person I spoke to about all of this said she would speak to the technician and get back to me. When she called me back she informed me that since we supposedly did not mention it could be a vent issue they did not address that specifically and would need to charge us to come back out. I have never in my life heard of a company putting it back on the customer for their shortfalls in THEIR expertise. First of all, we are not the AC experts, THEY supposedly are and furthermore the vents WERE mentioned. The unfortunate and shortsighted factor in all of this is that I happily refer companies that do a good job to all of my clients and other agents. I will be doing the exact opposite with this company and warn people to steer clear as they are an absolute disgrace. SAVE YOUR MONEY and find a company that actually cares about their customers and does right by them. Such a shame.

They just lost a 16 year customer. They installed two units in the last 16 years. Now on my current (6 yrs old) they are saying my 10 warranty is invalid because I didn't send the information to the manufacturer and want to charge me $2600. They handled all the paperwork for both units and are now telling me I have no warranty. I don't know what happened to this company but they are now liars thieves.

I helped this company with Dave Irwin ( whom they hired for the day) do an install for these guys Saturday August 7th 2021 @ 1000 Marabon Ave in Orlando. Went to their shop on John Young Parkway across from the Orange County Jail to puck up the units and supplies, met the owner and his son. Who was hitting lines of Cocaine off his office desk.( I guess you can do that when you own the building and rake in $59 million annually in revenue.) Anyway, this company did not pay me the $300 for helping Dave Irwin install this system. I've reached out to the owner, John Dean Taggerty and Dave Irwin for my money, to no avail. Bad company to work for or to do business with. They have too many bad reviews and have been investigated by Chanel 9 NEWS Todd Ulrich and the BBB. Now I see why.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I got a new unit 11 days ago, and the unit STILL isn't working... there so far has been 5 different techs to come out and fix a """"new unit"""". Each time, the tech complained about something the previous tech did wrong. They were always late and one day didn't even show up. I knew something was wrong then. I have small children in a 93 degree unit for almost 2 weeks. $8,000 later, to make matters worse, when I called to find out what was going on there was a man in the """"call center"""" who was extremely rude and hung up on me. Literally told me, """"never call here again"""" after I asked him about an update on another tech. This man wouldn't even provide his name and hung up on me twice. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I would avoid this company at ALL costs!

I returned from a trip to find my AC not working. I have been getting service from Promag for many years and have my system checked by them twice a year. I called them and they were able to make it out the same day. They gave me a window of between 12 and 3:00 PM. The technician arrive at about 1:20 PM and spent about 50 minutes and got the system working. He replaced the starting capacitor and installed a hard start. The cost was $675 which I thought was excessive considering the time he spent and the small cost of the parts he put in (less than $50). I called them and spoke to the owner about what I believed to excessive charges. I got no satisfaction in that conversation with him just telling me he needs to charge those rates. I think they take advantage of people in situations like mine. Recommend negotiating rates before any work is done.
