I returned from a trip to find my AC not working. I have been getting service from Promag for many years and have my system checked by them twice a year. I called them and they were able to make it out the same day. They gave me a window of between 12 and 3:00 PM. The technician arrive at about 1:20 PM and spent about 50 minutes and got the system working. He replaced the starting capacitor and installed a hard start. The cost was $675 which I thought was excessive considering the time he spent and the small cost of the parts he put in (less than $50). I called them and spoke to the owner about what I believed to excessive charges. I got no satisfaction in that conversation with him just telling me he needs to charge those rates. I think they take advantage of people in situations like mine. Recommend negotiating rates before any work is done.

They're happy to charge $7400 for a brand new AC unit and install it on a Saturday, but then when it goes out two days later after business hours, despite the fact they claim to be a 24hr 7 day per week business, they can't get anyone out until between 9-12 the next day to fix it. RIDICULOUS.

JD from this company convinced my 78 year old widowed mother that she should pay them $1275 to install a condensation pump. This is a $60 item and fifteen minutes of work to connect it to the AC pan, run a $5 plastic tube to the washer drain two feet behind the pump and plug it into the wall socket. I've gotten a couple of quotes and they have ranged from $200 to $300. My mother told me about it and I said she needed to ask for a refund.  They gave her a song and dance about insurance and having to pay workers and left it at that. I called and spoke to """"JD"""".  He hung up on me the first time I called and then was clearly angry with me for daring to question the price when I called back. He said he would """"look into it"""" and call me back but hasn't at this time, nearly a week later. I'm reporting them to the Florida States Attorneys Senior Protection Team. If anyone else has had issues with them please email me at [email protected]

We just had CJ come in and review our AC to inspect the health of it. He was so friendly, professional and easy to work with. He explained everything we needed to know for future repair and was super knowledgeable. We are thankful for his time and for going above and beyond with answering all of our questions. I highly recommend Promag Energy and ask for CJ!

They cold call to solicit business. When I missed the call and called back, the woman was rude and ended up hanging up on me. I'm pregnant and struggling with such awful nausea, I didn't need her to give me a headache on top of it. By the looks of other reviews, this is a company to avoid.

Promag did a new install in 2016 and the pan was not leveled properly. There has always been a problem with water collecting in the pan. Recently, 3 technicians came out. First visit to the house - The first tech that came said the reset button was not tripped. He drained the pan and moved wet insulation away from the area. We were afraid there would be an issue with the ceiling. He reassured us there would not be a problem with the ceiling. Second visit to the house - The second tech that came out 2 weeks later said the reset button was not reset. He also said """"whoever installed the unit was not done correctly"""". PROMAG INSTALLED THE UNIT. Was told the unit and pan are not level. He felt is was a serious problem so a 2nd tech showed up to help. The Project Manager Christy was aware there was a serious problem. After 2nd visit.....THERE IS STILL A PROBLEM!!!!!! Third visit to the house - A third tech came out and so did Fred the manager. Was told by Fred there is no issue with the unit or pan not being level but the 3rd tech told us disagreed with what he said. Fred saw the damage and will not take any responsibility for the damage that was cause by not fixing the problem the first and second time or due to a bad installation. Fred was very difficult to deal with. I have contacted the office several times. I could never get anyone to return my call. I even asked for JD the OWNER OF PROMAG to return my call. Last time I spoke to Christie (Project Manager) she assured me I would hear from him between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. the next day Oct 30 2020. She said JD said he would take care of it. I had no idea what that meant exactly but needless to say JD the owner never called me. I called the office today Nov 2, 2020 and Fred told me they will do nothing to right a wrong. They are a company that will do fix a problem that they actually caused. PROMAG IS A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. Know this, if this happens to you PROMAG WILL TURN THEIR BACK ON YOU1

Very upset with ProMag. We helped our daughter whose husband was in the hospital. A/C failed and ProMag says we need new unit after only 7 years. Told us we were getting a great deal, only to find out later that they had overcharged us by about $3000. Took weeks to finish some of the work and turns out they did not submit warranty papers on previous installation so no warranty. Said they would submit on this job (done in Feb 2020) but did not. Had to be asked again to do it. I feel like ProMag took advantage of a family going through a hard time with exceptionally high cost and low performance. Shame on ProMag 1/2 Star

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. $8,300 later, their work has resulted in a home that cools no lower that 83 degrees. Their technician was fired shortly after for attempting to fix the issue and admit fault. They quoted, diagnosed, and installed a unit that is an entire ton too small for the house it was quoted for. The owner was unavailable to discuss the issue and once finally contacted, acted unprofessionally (interrupting, yelling) and refused to fix the issue without even MORE money at the owners expense. Do not hire this company under any circumstance.

If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely the worst treatment and service from any business and business owner. Purchased brand new system 2017, last month AC person came out to repair apparently there was a clog in the line. They charged me over 250$ to flush line and add Freon. This week AC not working again. Repair guy found a leak in the line where two copper pipes rubbed. All the Freon from previous visit leaked out. After fixing the leak and being told I would not be charged to replace the Freon again I was charged 750$ because that was their flat fee. I called supervisor and asked for breakdown as how much was labor how much was charged for Freon. Owner of company JD took over that call yelling at me that he would not give me a break down and that was the cost. I explained that I was told I would not be charged for the Freon and he was extremely disrespectful and stated he would not explain and there was not a breakdown of pricing that's what it is. He then proceeded to tell me he had things to do and hung up on me! Who treats customers that way? Absolutely the worst treatment ever over issues with a fairly new system! None of it covered under the 10 year warranty and then to be hung up on!?$$$$
