I hired Proline Plumbing to fix a backed-up basement drain. They charged me $1330 for 45 minutes of work, which seemed steep, but I trusted they resolved the issue.

It's worth saying this was considered ""after hours"" - I believe they charged $200 to drive to my place in inner SE, and $230 to ""evaluate the issue"", and $900 to ""run a snake 15 feet"".

Unfortunately, I wasn't home at the time to verify, and when I returned the next day, the drain remains clogged.

Plumber was kind and explained what he was doing when we spoke on the phone.

Tristan came out and was so attentive to the issues. He fixed one major leak, double checked his work and found an entirely new leak that he quickly fixed. Such a relief!

AOSmith heat pump electric water heater installed by Northwest Installers in April, it failed after 5 months.
Proline sent out Adam who worked with AOSmith to determine the issue.
AOSmith sent a part and 2 days later Proline sent out Dustin who replaced the part and verified it was working.

I highly recommend Proline for all your water heater needs.

I don't recommend any manufacturers heat pump water heaters!!!!
get a regular water heater instead!

Tyrone came to install a new toilet our old one was like 50 years old and had crappy tank innards, and was leaking and a whole mess.

ANYway ... Tyrone went above and beyond.

-- He installed the new toilet super fast (prob would have taken me all day, or multiple days)

-- He was super friendly and nice to talk to

-- He CLEANED UNDER THE TOILET, and showed me BEFORE AND AFTER PICS! (I would bet most people don't clean under toilets!)

-- He made sure to reinstall our aftermarket Bidet attachment and also warn us about a slight gap in the seat fitment due to the attachment. So thoughtful!!

-- To top it off, he covered up some water rust stains on our white beadboard wall that I couldn't clean even with Bleach or Scrubbing Bubbles. He painted over it, and we didn't even ask. It wasn't even really that close to the toilet!

What a phenomenal experience during one of the most stressful situations. Chris is an absolute rockstar.... He was fast, so courteous, explained everything, showed me every step of the way what he was doing and why, and was so patient and full of grace. We woke up this morning to a flooded house with water pouring into the kitchen from the ceiling, and as I'm sure any parent can relate... when you have an almost 2 year old and you're almost 8 pregnant... it's chaos and such a horrible feeling to see disaster strike.
Chris showed up so fast, and worked through all the situations and helped to diagnose that the leak was from Lowe's installing our washing machine incorrectly. Chris allowed me to take pictures and videos, and explained everything to me so I could help when the water restoration company shows up and also when Lowe's comes to disconnect the washer and replace it.
Overall, I will admit I was feeling chaos and doom until Chris showed up. His professionalism is unmatched, he is friendly and made me feel supported and genuinely cared for as a customer. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
If you're having any plumbing issues or find yourself in a disaster... don't hesitate and call!! You will be so thankful you did. Hopefully you'll get the pleasure to work with Chris and your day will quickly turn from chaos to feeling hopeful and under control!

Beyond pleased with the weekend availability and Dustin's service. Worth the cost and peace of mind to open up the ceiling and ensure his initial diagnosis was correct and there wasn't anything hidden. Will use again - hopefully for a project that is not a weekend leak emergency!

Dustin helped me locate the main water shut off valve in my basement. He showed me how to ""bleed"" the water lines to prevent pipes from bursting during freezing weather. He recommended installing quarter turn valves to facilitate water shut off. Dustin is very polite, respectful and knowledgeable. He provided a fair estimate for the job.

Proline provided and installed one of their A.O. Smith propane hot water heaters in our home 5 years ago at a cost of over $2,000. and as two elderly seniors we thought that it would last us the rest of our days. A week ago we woke to no hot water, called Proline and they sent a tech out who found the that the gas valve and pilot sensor had failed. The parts were still under warranty, but it would cost $70. for the service call, and $150. for them to call the manufacturer just to get approval to order the replacement parts that were under warranty. In addition, they were going to charge us a additional $432. to return and install the warrantied parts. The parts arrived over a week later and the total after senior discount was $632. and the tech left dirt and the old parts and pieces laying on the floor when he finished!

I am a retired regional Senior Facilities Director with oversight of all maintenance and repairs of homes and commercial buildings for the entire N.W. and I have never experienced this kind of mismanagement, equipment failure, poor customer service or price gouging.

In conclusion, I would never recommend Proline Plumbing or their products A.O. Smith.
