Do NOT call these snakes in the grass !
Be warned ! We called them for a leak in our water main was quoted $ 65.00 for them to come out then $75.00 for a diagnostic?
What exactly did they mean by diagnostic?
I told the ( let's be kind and call him a plumber) what the issue was and showed him where it was he dug in the soft (wet) ground and exposed the 3/4plastic water main, cut in half where the water was coming out of a pinhole in the pipe, installed an $8.00 plastic coupler, was at our house
for just under 2 hrs., and gave us a bill we had to pay right then and there of over
$1,500.00 !
When I called to get the billing adjusted, I was told I would get a callback........never happened , I had to call them back and oh yeah, we were charged in the bill a fee of $155.00 for a ""crawl access"" which never happened the leak was out side of the crawlspace and that was the only amount she took off the bill so it cost $1,345.00 to have them come out, spent an hour and a half talking and walking around and about 15 minutes on actually repairing the leak with a coupler.
I'm a 66 year old heart patient and my wife just turned 70 we both are barely surviving
g off a small ssi check ...I know things are high because of inflation but this company is predatory on the aged and should be investigated as I'm certain I'm not the only one they have done this to, it has created an immense financial hardship on us, they a very callous in their business practices and were hostile and rude when I called to see if I could get them to make an adjustment to the bill to no avail.........the only reason I give them 1star is because I cant leave a zero!
BEWARE OF PRO LINE PLUMBING....THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND!

Pretty weak damage control,
Lying to the public after a ripped off customer complains won't make your company honest....nice try but they all now know what motivates you , and it's not helping people .I hope a lot read this review..and maybe they can avoid what happened to us so they won't be victimized by your predatory business practices.....all in all you came to repair a simple leak and charged us $1350.00 to do it , as far as my wife signing an giving a good review I had her do this just to be polite, and she did NOT
agree to the amount of the repair as were unaware of the amount until he was ready to leave shoving a credit card reader in her face and says okay, sign here to which she did for fear of getting in trouble if she didn't...she is 70 and has diminishing cognitive abilities and shouldn't have signed.
I wish I had the authority to shut you pirates down, but I don't.........if this review helps just one other to avoid what happened to us , then it was worth the time to write this ..have a nice day....

Worked with Tyrone and he was amazing. It's been three weeks now and our toilet has never worked better. He also, miraculously, had a new kitchen faucet replacement in his van, and the install has changed our life. Our previous faucet made horrible sounds and had terrible water pressure. Tyrone tried to see first if it was fixable and when it wasn't, had a beautiful faucet option to replace our old one and the new one is truly the best. These days, it's the little things that count and living with awesome water pressure and a noiseless faucet has been wonderful. For the peace and awesomeness we now have, ProLine is absolutely worth the price. Plus, they are super nice and explain in a respectful way, what exactly is going on and what they need to fix. Will definitely use them again!

7/3/23 Update -

STILL Feeling Pretty Ignorant for Using Proline Plumbing and counting on previous (Google) reviews.

Summary - $800 for a tub drain and less than an hour's worth of work is, quite honestly, a ripoff. The (supposed) professional plumber overlooked a very obviously incorrectly installed tub drain, then after already charging me $800, wanted another $1,700 to fix something that took me about 15 minutes and $4 to fix after they left. Take a look at the bill. That was for well less than an hour's worth of work, and a tub spout. The invoice is in the photos.

But whatever, lesson learned. The best I can hope for is to educate people about Proline, and how outrageous and predatory their quotations and charges are. There are many, many great companies that charge reasonable prices for reasonable plumbing services in the Camas Washougal area. Proline is NOT one of them in my experience.

I call them to my home to fix a leak in my tub. I had had issues with the drain, but I wasn't sure where the leak was coming from. So, I made an appointment with the very nice scheduler and agreed to the initial fee of $69 plus $75.

The guy shows up on time, nice enough. He spends about 5 minutes with me checking for leaks and then finally concludes that it must have been the tub spout. So he goes back out to his van for at least 15 minutes, and it comes back with a ""quotation"" for an additional $579 bucks. That was to assemble and then put the one screw into the shower control that I had taken apart and then to put in a new tub spout, which literally had one set screw, and then put a bead of silicone on it.

I seriously couldn't believe it. But I was already into it for the initial fee and the diagnostics fee, which again took less than 10 minutes, but I really wanted to get this knocked out because I had to get the sheet rock-back up... I just wanted this to be done. Insurance wasn't covering this, and this was on me. But I figured he knew what he was talking about, and I trusted him.

He literally took less than 30 minutes getting everything ready, and he yells up the stairs and tells me that he's found ""another problem."" He'd been running the water, looked behind the wall where we had originally checked, and there was a tiny puddle of water. Sure enough, a leak. And coming from, guess what, the drain, which is what I had originally thought, was leaking.

This is, of course, after I'm already into this for 800 bucks. So I asked him what it was going to take to take care of it, and he said that he needed to ""check with the office."" This came as a surprise, as we could both see that when I had put the drain plug on, stupidly, I had put the gasket between the drain and the top of the tub, instead of the bottom of the tub in the pipe. Dumb, impatient move by me. But it should have been clearly obvious to any professional plumber.

So he disappears to his van again and is gone at least 10 more minutes. He comes back and tells me it's going to be nearly $1,800 (more!) for him to fix the leak. That is on top of what I've already given him. I was literally speechless, and after about 1 second, I told him I was done. $1800 would be enough money for me to go to plumbing training and do the repair myself 10 times. Thanks, but no. And off he went. No follow-up, no quote, no advice. Just gone.

Feeling frustrated and ripped off, back I go to the very drain that I had screwed up to begin with. I pulled it apart, put the gasket where it should have been, which was between the bottom of the tub and the pipe, got an actual tub drain wrench, tightened it up, put the silicone around the edge, and behold. It does not leak. Fixed. Done.

I have no idea what the hell would have cost $1,800. This was not a good value, I'm not happy with this company at all. They didn't fix the problem, and they charged me a small fortune. Basically, the guy spent about 35 minutes working, and up to 30 minutes in the van getting quotes, and left me with a tub that's still leaked.

Lesson learned, I made a dumb dumb mistake. But for those of you who think you can't do something that looks complicated, be patient, go to YouTube, you can probably figure it out for a 20th of what some companies will charge you these days. I wish I had a better word for it, but they really seemed predatory. I really don't know what it is. Maybe after COVID, companies think they can just charge whatever they want.

Avoid. This. Company. There are better options.

I've used Proline Plumbing before. Had a great outcome. Then our sink started acting up. Thought we had cleared it up, we had not. Called Proline and spoke with Amber and set up an appointment to have them come look at it. Darren was my technician and he was wonderful. I appreciate a company that hires someone who not only knows their job, but is willing to take the time to walk me through what's happening and what needs to be done. Not only that, he went through preventative steps we could take to make sure this didn't happen again. Really nice people to work with and a great price. Will definitely use them again.

My husband and I are first time homeowners and woke up to nearly no water in our home and our water meter spinning out of control. Proline Plumbing was the first call I made. They were transparent about costs and had a technician to us hours earlier than we expected. The technician, Tyrone, was fast, professional and explained things along the way. These are our go to plumbers now for the next time something inevitably breaks!
