I highly recommend Proficient Plumbing! Paul the owner is a super nice guy. He's very honest and prices are good. He's reliable and does superb work. He did work for me a few years ago, and more today. The only plumber I'll call!

Proficient is the appropriate name for this plumbing company! I have used this company 2 times for myself and both times my initial call was returned promptly, was put on schedule promptly and given the most reasonable cost each time. Proficient showed up each time as scheduled with a phone call to say they were on the way. The work performed was impressive and had no problems afterwards. You can't get better than this and Proficient is now my go to plumber. (Other plumbers didn't even return my call or gave me an outrageous price I guess as a way to say they didn't want the job!)
Note: I recommended Proficient Plumbing to 3 other people looking for a reliable plumber and I am happy to say all 3 have relayed that they too were very happy with this company and couldn't thank me enough!?! In return I would like to say ""THANK YOU"" Proficient Plumbing! You help people more than you know!

This is the first review I've ever left for someone that I haven't even worked with !!! Here's why....

I had just had my kitchen redone and ran the dishwasher. When I opened it there was standing water in the bottom that wouldn't drain. After trying my contractor several times over several days with no answer and having a houseful of people coming this weekend I started to panic and used yelp to find a professional to come out.
Proficient called ASAP as he was IN THE DOCTORS OFFICE and asked if he could call me back. He called back as soon as he was finished!
Not wanting to waste my money he asked if I had a disposal and suggested it may be due to the contractor neglecting to pop out the hole for the drain. He was willing to come out and tried to work me into his schedule. My contractor (who unbeknownst to me was in the hospital :( ) ended up calling today... the Day proficient was to come ... and he sent someone out to check. When I told them what proficient told me... they checked it and .... bingo... the hole was never popped out. I contacted Proficient and they were relieved that the problem had been solved. Genuinely relieved.
I'm saving them in my phone and would recommend them to anyone!! Thank you

Disclosure: we weren't actually customers of Proficient's plumbing services. However, while out of state a family member had a flooded basement back in NJ. It was a Friday night and we were freaking out about what to do. Messaged Proficient via Yelp - he got back with us in less than thirty minutes with a recommendation for someone who could come out right away. Even posted the phone number for me. And they did! Showed up first thing in the morning and fixed the problem at a reasonable price. Proficient didn't have to go out of their way on a Friday night to help someone who wouldn't make them any money - but they did.

I needed some plumbing work done in my house and the plumber that I have used for a long time has retired. I looked on Yelp and Google for reviews on plumbers. Based on the great reviews for Proficient Plumbing & Heating I decided to give them a call. I spoke with the owner(Paul) and requested a quote for the work that I wanted done. There were no problems or issues with the estimate and Paul seemed honest, nice and very professional. Based on our interaction, I scheduled Paul to perform the work. The work was completed with no issues or problems. To say that I was extremely impressed with Paul is an understatement. I will not hesitate to call Paul again and if anyone asks me do I know a good, honest plumber I will tell them give Paul a call at Proficient Plumbing & Heating.

Needed a plumber & found Proficient Plumbing thru YELP-
due to many 5 star reviews which were well deserved. Both plumbers that came were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. They were able to repair my kitchen sink faucet and with that being said I was able to return a very costly faucet that I bought at a plumbing supply store.
Excellent!! Will definitely call them again in the future when I renovate my bathroom and kitchen and I need my fixtures installed! Highly recommend!

We needed a plumber for a clogged main sewer line at our mobile home at the Jersey Shore. Proficient Plumbing showed up right when they said they would, cleared roots from the line, gave a good cost estimate in advance, and made sure everything was in working order before leaving. The plumber even recommended a product to use to keep the roots from growing back. Great service
