They charged me $299 to send out a second plumber to hold a piece of pipe not to fix it but to just hold it in place while another plumber tighten down a pipe I would not recommend them. It is an unjustifiable amount of money and their excuse was he's a certified professional what kind of a certification do you need to hold a pipe for someone to tighten it and we are talking a shower pipe not an industrial or commercial pipe. Any person off the street could've held it and other plumbers tell me there was no need for a second person. Avoid calling them unless You are willing to get ripped off

I use Protec for everything these days. I started using them when my water heater needed a repair, and then for my air conditioner checkups and repairs and now for my plumbing issues. I am part of Protec's comfort club, which gives me ten percent off of their other services when I need something done. This has been beneficial. I joined the comfort club when I started using them for my air conditioner check ups. They have been very helpful and in fact, through them, I had a new air conditioner installed. My two units are still working and the new unit has an exceptional warranty. Protec is good about making their appointments on time. They give you a three hour window and typically a heads up when they're on their way. They work late too, which is nice cuz things like broken water heaters and non functioning AC units are kind of an emergency. I do recommend them. All the technicians have been wonderful. The AC guys got a dead squirrel out of my attic. The plumbers came for a second visit when they found out my issue was not 100% solved and they did not charge an assessment fee for the second visit. I only had one guy track some mud into my house while he was working on things. Aside from that, their office is very helpful and gets back to you almost immediately. I had one issue over Memorial Day when they didn't call me back. Apparently they were on the phone for two days straight with other customers calling in and did not have a chance to check their voice mail. So if you don't hear back within two hours, call again. I've had a lot more luck with their online contact system via email. They are very good about emailing, calling and texting. I have electronic copies of all my bills. They also keep records at the office. I found Protec in a file folder from the prior owner of this home- he bought the water heater from them. And they have regarded me as the initial owner despite the handoff. I had no issues with them servicing their product even though I'm the second owner. What a great company.

First service call from Pro-Tech about a year ago. They were the fifth service company to diagnosis my problem properly and fixed it without suggesting very expensive equipment replacement or addition. Signed up for their twice yearly inspection program, despite problems with a similar plan sponsored by previous service company. Velrick arrived for second inspection, extremely fastidious in conducting his inspection. At conclusion, he reviewed his work, showed me pictures of various gauges attached to my units, and explained readings. He noted that equipment was in good shape, operating normally and within appropriate parameters. Whole process took approximately 90 minutes. No attempted upsell or suggested precautionary 'repairs', just in case. I really like this company and its staff. They do a good job and care about their customer.

I called Pro-Tech yesterday to get a toilet flush repair done, and they accommodated me by sending someone out the next day on my day off. The office didn't call in advance, but two plumbers came and were early in the window of time they gave me, so that worked well for me. They repaired the toilet and also replaced the flapper in another one that was aging. I signed up for their annual inspection plan, and they said I could end it at any time. That saved me money today, and I think will be good for maintenance in the long run. Nice guys too! Thank you, Pro-Tech.
