Privately held since 2008, Pro-Tec Plumbing & Air has developed a solid presence as the premier property plumbing and air-conditioning provider. We provide high-quality services for homes, businesses, and new construction. We promise quality and offer peace of mind. Pro-Tec Plumbing always put the customer, promising the quality of our work and delivering peace of mind with each job.

Our Master Plumber Richard Hume launched Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. in 2008 with a few tools and kits of fittings from the back of his vehicle. Like any great entrepreneur, he devoted himself day and night, distributing flyers to attract new customers and connections. Despite a difficult downturn in 2009, Pro-Tec Plumbing persevered; each year, we expanded our services by bringing on new staff, equipment, and tools to the company. Having steadily grown over the years, Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. has changed -- we are now Pro-Tec Plumbing, Water & Gas, a full-service water system company. What originated as a single-person operation is now a successful company with over 50 staff. Though we still grow, Rick's original promise remains the foundation of Pro-Tec: develop a business centered on dedication and transparency and deliver the quality of work we would desire in our own properties.

Brothers Richard (Rick) and Brandon Hume were brought up in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where they lived until the early 2000s.

Brandon moved to Florida in 2004 to study at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he competed in golf and studied in finance. Meanwhile, Rick nurtured a growing passion for plumbing; he earned his license as a Master Plumber in 2008 and launched what would become Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc.

After graduating from his degree, Brandon helped in digging Rick's first residential home in 2009. He chose to join his brother full-time as the company's vice president in 2011, running the office side of the company.
