Mark came out to our home, did an assessment of our very old (30+ years old!) water heater, made recommendations and how quickly he could get the job done. The next day, he replaced it and made quick work of identifying another plumbing issue that was found while putting in the new water heater and went about fixing that too.
He is a professional and his experience and expertise go along way to the piece of mind of you get for a job done right.

I had Mark come in and replace the angle stops throughout my house. It was a lot of them and they were all of an old style from the 80's which can suffer catastrophic failure so I wanted em replaced. Mark showed up on time and got the job done in an extremely reasonable amount of time for a fair price. He was easy to understand and didn't talk down to my lack of knowledge with plumbing related terms. Most likely I'll be seeing him soon for the water heater. Recently, my hybrid (heat pump) hot water heater failed abruptly. According to the Econet app, either the elements were not working, or there was an issue with relays on the control board. The unit is less than 2 years old, and between wiring the required electric circuit, and installing it, I had spent about $6,000. The units come with long parts warranties, but labor is limited to 12 months. I actually ran into the same issue a year ago, and it took multiple visits by multiple plumbers before it was repaired by replacing the control board.

I called the plumber that installed the unit, and I was told that labor for repairs was no longer covered by warranty, and this plumber no longer serviced these units. I was given the names of two experienced plumbers that could help me. Mark Plummer (really his name!) from Pro Hot Water & Plumbing Service, and another person. I looked at Mark's solid reviews, and decided to give him a call. I am very glad I did.

Mark is a third generation plumber, who worked as a factory service representative for various major water heater companies, prior to starting his own firm. He knows the products very well, and he also knows the issues that often arise when less experienced plumbers install equipment, or when wear and tear take its toll on plumbing.

He was easy to contact, and immediately asked me to provide some photos, so he would know what unit I have, and what he might need. We set up an appointment, and he arrived promptly. He knew that even when an app indicates that heating elements may be failing, this might not be true, and he knew how to immediately test the elements.

I then recalled that when we had this problem last year, the plumbers that came out immediately ordered replacement elements. We waited a number of days for the parts to arrive (with no hot water), and then when they installed the new elements, they concluded that this was not the problem, so they ordered a new control board. We waited additional time without hot water, until that the replacement board arrived. We had been glad this did resolve the problem, but it had taken a long time.

Mark got the replacement board request out immediately, and we had it within a couple of days. I called Mark on Friday evening when we got the board, and he said he would be out at 9 the following morning to install it for us. This was done efficiently and properly, and meanwhile he educated me on our options going forward, given how troublesome this unit has been.

In addition to installing the replacement part, Mark carefully examined all of our hot water plumbing, and determined that we had another issue that was impacting how well we got our hot water .. a regulator valve which was no longer controlling the flow of water leaving the tank. This enabled cold water to combine with the hot water, making our system perform much more poorly. Mark suggested replacing the valve, noting that this can be a somewhat labor-intensive repair, but it is very worthwhile. I decided to let him do this, and we planned for doing the work later in the week.

When Mark did the valve replacement, things went very well. His work was very clean and professional, and it took him less time that he had expected. As an honest repairman who takes pride in his work, he immediately offered me a substantial discount on the work because it had proven easier than we expected. This really impressed me.

I am hoping that we will not face another failure of the current unit in the near future, but if we do need to do a replacement, I know what we should use, and I know that Mark is the person I would want to do the work for me. He is excellent, and I would encourage you to reach out to him, for excellent service at very fair prices. You will not be disappointed.

Mark is VERY expensive but he sure knows his business. He's extremely knowledgeable about Navien Tankless Water Heaters. We had him install one for us 3 yrs ago and while he was a bit higher priced than other companies, he's really skilled at installing these. He also diagnosed another plumbing problem we were having at the same time and quickly solved it. We had him back today (3 years later) to do the routine maintenance on our Navien unit as we had noticed a deterioration in our hot water output. But he spent about 75 minutes here and did the recommended service on our unit and resolved the problem we were having. He's a very smart guy when it comes to plumbing and these tankless water heaters but his expertise does come with a pretty high cost. But I'm not sure I would trust anyone else with our very expensive Navien Tankless Water Heater.

I installed a hot water heater, but the propane wasn't burning properly. I called the manufacturer several times, and they sent me a new burner. I found a lot of soot and carbon particals inside the heater. I called Mark and asked him to come out and tell me whether the heater was safe to use. He said ""no"" and asked me to send pictures. After reviewing the pictures, he said everything was fine except the drip pan. It was too small and too high, and it was restricting the air intake a the bottom of the heater. He told me to install a new heater and put bricks in the pan to raise the heater, and thus the intake vents, above the edge of the pan. So, he solved the problem in 10 mins over the phone! Amazing. Mark is clearly an expert. Don't call anybody else.

Mark came to our home in Meadow Vista the same day we were having an issue with a leaking hot water heater. We intended to get a second opinion from him after another company we had used in the past for various plumbing issues quoted us over10K for a new hot water heater for our complex house. Mark, who was an expert in the complex hot water system we had, identified that it was not the hot water heater that was leaking, rather a connection that he was able to fix the same day. Saved us thousands and an unnecessary replacement. It was clear after talking to Mark we would have had a disaster on our hands had this other company cut into our system without knowing what they were doing. Mark spent a significant amount of time explaining the system to us, gave us all of our options and pricing for each. His assistant was also extremely courteous and professional and helped keep the repair moving smoothly. Job well done! Highly recommend!

Our tankless water heater was going out after 14 years and we called Pro Hot Water, Mark came that afternoon and gave us the various options available, what he thought was the best for our home. Couple days later they came and installed our new tankless water heater. They were very professional, efficient, friendly. For safety reasons, Mark suggested that a couple things around the water heater be change and even helped with the changes. We were so pleased with Mark's efficiency and working to do the best job. Mark was so informative and explained my options for the water heater problems we were having and safety concerns. We made the decision to have the water heater replaced.

I called On Super Bowl Sunday after our water heater went out and was calling around to set up a service request from different businesses. Not expecting very much because of the day it was no one returned my call but Mark did at Pro Water Heater. I told him about our situation and he said he would check in to it and call me back soon.
