We moved to Arizona in 2021 to be closer to family. As we were moving into our home, we were approached by Pristine. We allowed them to come and give their sales pitch and demonstration. Being in sales myself, I am usually very leery of salesmen. Not knowing this industry, my wife and I fell hook, line, and sinker for their sales pitch. We purchased a Maytag reverse osmosis system and a water softener system. To be fair, they both work great. HOWEVER, come to find out; we grossly overpaid for the system. On top of grossly overpaying, I can not service the system myself. All parts for these are proprietary, meaning you can only go through a Maytag dealer. Having the filters replaced is nearly the same cost as buying a brand-new, similarly rated system. I do not recommend Pristine due to its predatory sales tactics and high maintenance cost. I encourage you to do your research before signing on the dotted line and to learn from our misfortune.

This company's inane marketing model is to send a mailer purporting to be a package on hold for you and you must call immediately to receive your package. We recently moved in, and most people know what a chaotic time this can be. I was unsure if a legitimate package was on hold due to address changes and whatnot. Nope. I got to be on hold for 5 minutes until the call dropped. I looked more closely at the mailer and saw a barely legible stamp with the company's name and logo. The company owner defends this advertising model in other similar reviews by stating the ""package"" is a gift to their neighbors (of them testing your water and giving you a sales pitch). I am happy to say we had already gone with a different water softener company and will never recommend Pristine Water Softeners due to their scummy advertising practices.

I have purchased and dealt with Pristine Water for 29 years. From the first interaction to today's (02/15/2023) service call I would never give Randy McKinnon or Pristine Water anything less than 5 stars! ! Everyone is prompt, respectful and knowledgeable. They will never ""up sell"" nor overcharge.

This company uses deceitful marketing tactics to lure new home buyers into purchasing an overpriced water softener. I'm genuinely surprised they have not been investigated by the FCC/BBB (probably because this tactic isn't illegal, just morally wrong). I see the business owner is responding to these comments stating they have given away X amount of $, but that doesn't make up for misleading your customers into doing it. I would highly recommend to the business owner that they take another approach to attracting customers, but just my two cents.

Every time I buy a new home I get spammed with these guys' fake post cards lying and pretending to be a government/county entity. I guess lying and being deceptive is a good marketing tactic to vulnerable naive new home buys if they are still sending them out. Unethical at best.

Dishonest sales people conning you into an over priced water filtration system with ridiculous payment options. These guys are shady!

I received one of their post cards so I looked them up. I see that the owner of Pristine Water Softeners continues to claim that their post card is a ""marketing tool"". Maybe it is, but it's a very deceptive marketing tool ... at best. They're preying on people who are very trusting or gullible by pretending that it's a package delivery notification from legitimate delivery service.

The post card even has a place where ""Pick-Up"" or ""Deliver"" could be checked and it also has a place where ""Letter"", ""Magazine"" or ""Other"" could be checked. It also has a place where ""1st Attempt"" or ""Final Attempt"" can be circled.

Maybe everyone should respond and spend a LOT of time with their sales folks and not purchase anything from them in the end. Also submit negative reviews wherever you can ... they deserve it just based on their unethical business practices. I have no idea what their products or services are like but I would guess it's on par with their ""marketing tool"".

I received an advertisement in the mail from this company pretending to have a parcel on hold. Why do you resort to deceitful advertising? Why would I ever do business with a company that from the gate is trying to trick me? Is your whole company a scam? Where is the integrity? Please go out of business and never send people scummy things like this in the mail.

I found out they service for GE. I am going to contact GE corporate and recommend they drop this company because of deceitful marketing.

Your ""simple tool"" to reach your community is not good marketing. Look at your reviews. Highly recommend you take a different approach. I'm sure you are great at installing a water softeners but This feels like a scam and the lady was rude once I informed her we already have a softener.
