Recommended Customer Reviews

We hired Primo Home Services to install new sod in our lawn (also scraping and removing previous grass/weeds, rocks, and dirt) and to create flower beds around the perimeter of the house. Everything started out great -- Jr. seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. However, as our job progressed there were a few things we weren't very happy with. To start, our sod was installed over FIVE days instead of the normal and recommended one day. It certainly didn't help our lawn get off to the start it needed in order to be as strong and healthy as possible. Then towards the end, it seemed like corners were being cut in order to finish up as quickly as possible; landscaping fabric was not put in all the beds, sod squares were left uninstalled, and the clean-up job was poor. Several of our sprinkler heads were damaged during the leveling of the yard, and it took us pointing it out to them for it to be acknowledged and fixed. But, the icing on the cake was that several days after everything was finished, we noticed several piles of rocks around our neighborhood...rocks that looked suspiciously like the ones removed from our yard (there were other identifying pieces of debris as well). When we pointed this out to Jr. he flat out denied it saying that his guys didn't do it and even if they did that "wasn't in the contract" so he would have to re-contract them. It was extremely unprofessional -- not to mention illegal -- to dump and not properly dispose of the rocks/dirt/debris from our yard and he did not handle it appropriately at all. Our contract stated that they would dispose of all excess dirt, grass, and rocks (we didn't think we had to specify that it would be done legally and NOT DUMPED AROUND OUR NEIGHBORHOOD). They really dropped the ball and it really called into question the other work he had done for us. I would NOT recommend hiring Primo Home Services for any home improvement you're looking to contract out.
