I too was referred to Prime via AHS home warranty to fix my garbage disposal. I read all reviews and I had mixed feelings as we went through the process. The technician came on-time, he was very polite, and told that unit was burned out, it needed to be replaced, and his dispatch would get a hold of the home warranty company. That's when the fun started and it reminded me of a previous post here. AHS told me that Prime stated that the """"basket and strainer"""" needed to be replaced and since it was a modification it would out of pocket $275. The price went up $100 from another Google post review. I told AHS to cancel the claim, Prime called me today and I declined their service request. I just had another reputable plumber leave my home after spending 35 minutes to unhook and connect a new 1/2 hp garbage disposal. I told him what had transpired with Prime and he started laughing as I did not need a new basket and strainer for my garbage disposal system. I would like to see a reply from Prime Plumbing as to why you're making the suggestion for people to purchase unnecessary parts for garbage disposal repairs. Since my post is not unique, this seem to be a normal practice by your business. Is it because you, Prime, feel that AHS is not paying you enough for your services? I received the pay-out amount from AHS and it looked awfully small amount. Either way, it's not a very honest business practice to suggest unnecessary parts for such repair. I'm pretty disappointed at Prime.

came to unplug a backed-up line, estimate was $600. said they could install a new commode also and quoted an estimate of $1,000 for all. Serviceman came with a white commode to install, never asked if it was ok to switch colors. He was told it was not acceptable, so he got the original commode back and reinstalled it. When he finished, he charged $862.46 but said he would email the itemized invoice. Itemized invoice received and he charged $219.00 to pull the old commode and $149.00 to reinstall. They added an admin fee of $25.12 which adds up to $393.00. WHAT??!! So, he ended up charging the amount as if we had a new commode. This happened on a Thursday. The next day I replied to the email address with the invoice and stated the above and requested a reimbursement of $393.00 as these charges seemed totally unjustified and it appeared we had been taken advantage of and overcharged. I also asked if this was price gouging. This is now one week and I have heard nothing. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING THEM!!

Poor customer service. Leaky toilet. Service request took weeks to be resolved. First plumber stated no access to cut off valve and left ten minutes after walking around. Plumber stated he need to get authorization because he could not find the cut off valve which is located in front of house. I requested to speak with manager numerous times to no avail Representative initially said I had to call utility company to shut off water she paused and said that's not right and thru Being persistent I was able to convince a representative to send another plumber out. Finally second plumber came out. Took under thirty minutes to resolve issue. Was able to access cut off valve with no issue or complications. Overall experience was terrible. Response time was deplorable and water bill kept going up. American Shield uses this company and did very little to ensure completion of work. I'm not a satisfied customer and do not recommend this company at all.

We were connected to Prime Plumbing by HSA Home Warranty so we didn't have much of a choice. I certainly would not choose them and I recommend others think very carefully before hiring their services. We had a water main break between the meter (at the street) and the main entry point to the house. After troubleshooting the issue correctly the first day it took them over six weeks to get back out to the property. They felt that a temporary line from the meter, laying on top of the yard running to the side of the house was a sufficient solution so they didn't have to finish the work in a timely manner. They dropped off a backhoe and left it in front of the house without doing any work, which the HOA was not happy about, and it still took them a week to get back and fix the issue. There were periods of rain but they had ample time to make the repairs in between wet periods. They have a 100% warranty on their work, which is what they were working under after their initial fix wasn't sufficient, but it ISN'T WORTH ANYTHING if it takes over 6 WEEKS to get something fixed! The office staff who answer phones are inept and blame everything on the """"scheduler"""" and promise to return calls, but don't. BOTTOM LINE: If you can, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. If you have a Home Warranty policy and the policy company sets up an appointment for you with this company, request another company, ANY COMPANY!

Not happy with my experience with this company. They came out on behalf of AHS warranty company to fix my faucets. On the initial service call the company (Prime Plumbing) told us to purchase a new kitchen faucet and they would install it. The faucet had a soap dispenser attached. A technician installed it on a follow up call but did not test that everything was functioning. We checked it after he left and the dispenser was not working. Upon calling back the company to have someone come back and look at it I was informed they would not cover their installation work due to some technicality on the original work order. It is my expectation that the company would 1) verify that what they install works before the leave a customer's house; and 2) if there is an issue with the installation they would return and resolve it. This was easily fixable and a choice by Prime to not resolve a customer issue. Based on this negative experience I am cancelling my use of AHS and it's providers in the future.

Repaired my slab leak and handled all my homeowners insurance stuff to get me reimbursed! I got approved for the repairs and my floors to be replaced because of them.

HORRIBLE! Called out by American Home Shield for my water heater. This was last Thursday. They were in and out in 3 minutes and STILL 6 days later HAVE NOT CALLED A DIAGNOSTIC REPORT IN TO AHS. My 4 kids and I have had no hot water for 6 days. I have called everyday and they say the same thing..""""Kevin will call the report in today."""" NEVER HAVE NOW, I have had to call a different plumbing company and pay for this entire claim out of my own pocket. AHS will not allow me the cash out option until this flake of a company calls in a diagnostic report. NEWSFLASH - THIS IS FRAUD BC THEY AREN'T PLANNING ON CALLING A REPORT IN! They have been sent to vendor management and I hope they get kicked off. Based on these reviews they should not be in business. DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE PRIME PLUMBING!!! they have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. 5 weeks ago they came to the house to fix the disposal and said I needed a new one. We were remodeling our kitchen so they told me to call them when it was finished so they could install the disposal. When I called to set up the installation, they said they had to order the disposal and it would be 5-10 days before it arrived (why didn't they already order it knowing it was going to be installed?). When I called a week later, I was told it was still on order and that they would send me a tracking number because the disposal was sent to my house. They never sent the tracking number. The following week when I called they said they were still waiting and would call me once they spoke to the technician (she said she would call me in an hour and a half). No call. When I asked the home warranty company to get involved, they were rude to them too (they actually hung up on the home warranty company). When I called yesterday, she put me on hold and then hung up on me while once again """"checking"""" with the technician. Once again, no call back, no follow up. When I called today, they said they needed to check with the technician and would get back to me. Sound familiar? I'm not sure how this company is still in business. Judging by the other reviews, I can see I'm not the only one they've treated this way.

Ok two gentlemen just left my home. They were sent by the warranty company AHS. Very professional and knowledgeable. I decided to google the reviews on the company and I didn't pick up on what I'm reading. Of course they quickly cleared a clogged drain but a bigger job is coming and I'll have more experience with them. But I get friendly and knowledgeable from my meeting today. I'll update again if that changes but I don't expect it to.

Do not hire this company. Called AHS and got assigned these guys for a water heater replacement. AHS covered me up to $1k that means the bill I was supposed to cover was over $1400. $2400+ for a water heater replacement. A water heater is $800 my price at Home Depot. Required water heater, drain pan $30, and a couple of pipe parts $20. I paid $1150 for someone else to install. These guys inflate the cost on purpose taking advantage of people. The installer said buy your own drain pan and I will put it in. Prime will charge you $130 for the same part that's $30. These guys are in and out in 5 min. Would not use again and if this post gets deleted again I I'll repost Look at your reviews? Don't you think something is wrong?
